The tour guide makes all the difference
Weather needs to be considered due to being on the water but with appropriate clothing the ride on the boat is very nice. We had an excellent tour guide that was extremely informative and helpful. He spoke in both English and Spanish so everyone stayed informed. He had the trip as good as it was

      Not worthy
Tour started late . Guide didn’t know what the schedule of the day. Not enough information. Due to road accident it took almost 6 hours to come back to Vienna. I would really appreciated if they could offer free water to passengers.

A fun addition to the traditional tour
A fun addition to the traditional tour. Focuses on the Habsburgs' family tree, with lots and lots of names, births, deaths, and marriages. It really could go more in depth and be done on a more personal level, it covers Sisi well but the rest of the monarchy is just brushed over. The VR sets are heavy though so for that 24 minutes of screen time is more than enough. In summary, it is fun, it is different, but it needs more meat.

      Danube Delights!
A delightful day trip from Vienna. The tour was well organised, and the guide spoke in two languages—English and Spanish—simultaneously throughout the tour. The boat trip took just over an hour from Dürnstein to Melk. There are options to have lunch on the boat or in the town of Melk. The guided tour of Melk Abbey was okay, although I felt it was too brief. Overall, my tour experience was positive, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to spend a day outside Vienna.

Nice exposure to Austria outside of Vienna
Relaxing day. Bus part was comfortable. On boat for about 1 hours and 20 minutes. After reading other reviews, we found a table and enjoyed lunch while we watched the scenery. With free time at the Abbey, we were able to walk into town briefly and visit the gardens.

      Beautiful!
The day trip to Hallstatt was amazing! The boat ride was conveniently arranged. There was also plenty of time to see the place on your own. What a lovely picturesque town!

Hopeless - try a different operator if you want to actually see Vienna!
Terrible service ….. we naively bought a 48 hour pass thinking that this was a better set up / routes than other tours. We were very wrong sadly. - Buses in January are roughly every hour at stops so it really matters when you miss one. Our first attempt saw us at the right bus stop (marked and numbered) where we watched the bus drive straight past after waiting 10 mins past the due time. If you are expected to request this should be very clear. It’s not. - We then finally made it on a bus at Schloss Belvedere to be told by the bus driver we’d have to get off at the next stop (the Opera House appears to be a terminal). He said we’d need to get on the next bus - not that that bus was an hour wait! In the cold…. - Eventually got on a bus an hour later and had a successful round on the Red Line - Next day we walked to Praterstern Station and thought we’d pick up the Blue Line bus at the stop there. The description of the stop was hopelessly generic (by the UBahn Ausgang and Prater exit - at a big station with a number of places fitting that description). After 25 mins, missing yet another bus we rang the phone number and were (helpfully to be fair) directed to the right stop. Outside a very Googleable restaurant which could easily have been the description. - By this time we didn’t have the time to get round the loop and therefore gave up on our plans to see a few sights Overall a tourist service that hasn’t been designed with tourists in mind - at all.

      Beautiful destination
Large bus with comfortable seats and big windows, rest stop there & back. Lots of information about the destination including archeology/paleontology, which was quite interesting. Short guided walk in town to see bone room at local church, then 3-4 hrs to explore on own. Unfortunately several of the suggestions were not available, which seems odd to not be more up to date. Beautiful area & stunning lake views. Basically you’re paying for transportation. Would’ve rather skipped the dinner stop on way back to arrive sooner back to Vienna. Highly recommend seeing Hallstatt!!

      Great way to explore.....
For ease of sightseeing around the city this couldn't be better. We completed the 3 tours over 2 days giving ample opportunity to visit places of interest . The commentary was excellent, the buses ran on time ,and the boarding staff most helpful.

      Day excursion to designer outlet
Huge outlet with numerous designer brands for all tastes and wallets. On average discounts range from 30-50% of RRP. Definitely need to spend several hours to see the outlet, best to plan ahead before visiting.

      Good Tour of Hallstatt
Tour operator was good enough to pick up from the hotel. The Tour was good and the guide provided excellent details As per the tour we booked for the tour along with the skywalk, but the tickets to the transportation by the cable car was not provided. And due to a long queue at the ground station no one from this trip could go to the skywalk.

      Poor
The bus left late and returned early. The audio was not synched and repeated itself and cut off part way through explaining.

Trip provided a good tour of the city via a bus prior to arrival at the castle. Upon arrival at the castle, our group of 40 were given 10 minutes to use bathroom. We returned to the meeting place in 7 minutes only to find the tour guide left without us. It took us 30 minutes of searching the grounds to find our group. When we asked the tour guide why he left early without taking a physical count of the group - he said “I asked the group if everyone was here, and no one responded you were missing”. I asked him how people we don’t know would know if we were missing, he laughed and said I’ll give you a chocolate. I guess you get what you pay for….

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at Schonbrunn Palace. We purchased the Grand Tour. Purchasing tickets in advance was a great idea, and the audio guide devices were helpful, easy to use, informative, and absolutely worth it. The incredible wealth of the Habsburgs is on full display, and it was amazing to think that we were standing in rooms that were witness to so much history. Remember that the "skip the line" refers to the line at the ticket booth. Once you pass the ticket booths, you will be in line with all the other people who bought tickets on the web, and you should allow 20-30 minutes from your arrival to make it through the line in time for your reservation time.

Have to say, I did not know what to expect when booking this tour but boy was I impressed. The entire palace site, it's gardens on a grand scale just magnificent!

Inside the palace, I was treated to some wonderful exhibitions and pieces on all things related to Austrian history - colourful to say the least !

Our guide and bus driver was fantastic (sadly I forget there names except one was Anna and the lady in red jacket :) both excellent story tellers and witty and kept the group together despite the large volume of people in other tour groups as well Vienna city history.

Would recommend these folks as they are organised and good at what they do and will leave you with an experice to remember.

Never been to Vienna before so just picked up a few things to do in a short break to just get the gist of the place. First on the list was the Palace and Garden tour. Wanted to make it as pain free as possible and despite struggling to find out we should meet under a green umbrella (?) we got going. A fabulous, professional, informative, entertaining and funny guide in (Mona)Lisa. A pure delight! The headsets worked absolutely perfectly, meaning we could hear everything at all times. Not wanting a University lecture, the information given was pitched absolutely spot on. Would highly recommend.

The Vienna historical overview was rushed, the guide simply stated the buildings that we were passing by and offered extremely brief and uninteresting facts about them. The Schonbrunn Palace was worse, as the guide seemed in a hurry and we barely spent time in a the interior of the palace. It was definitely not worth our money.

We expected something different. The palace tour was spectacular and our guide was knowledgeable but the tour was in both English and Spanish and we only booked it in English. The city tour was also on a bus and we thought it would be on foot. It took too long! Guide was very knowledgeable of the city!

Dear Paola, thank you for your feedback. Since we want to offer the possibility to book our tours in different languages up to 30 minutes before departure, we do not limit our buses to just one language, so that all languages spoken by our guides can be offered on a daily basis on all our tours. The city tour has been developed to provide a compact overview of the Vienna Highlights in a short amount of time, and offers a fast track entry to the Schönbrunn Palace and a guided tour inside the rooms of Maria Theresia. This way, all customers who wants to see as much as possible in a short amount of time can enjoy all highlights in just 3,5 hours with the added value of a guided tour by our professional guides. We are happy to hear that you were satisfied with our tour guide. Sunny regards from Vienna, your VIENNA SIGHTSEEING team

The tour was rushed and led by tour guides who are bored with their jobs and thus boring. The tour was supposed to be English but they combined us with a Spanish speaking group so we heard everything in both languages. It was a challenge to listen, especially given the monotone of the guide. The tour of the palace was really rushed and still somehow we were allowed only 35 minutes in the garden, which is not enough time to see much.

This tour was a bus ride to the palace with info in both English and German. I wish the tour would be conducted in just English (it gets quite tiring to hear that much German). The actual palace tour wasn't very long, we visited maybe 10 rooms (out of 1500!), there was no free time afterwards. We were rushed to get on the bus and to leave so we missed the beautiful part - the gardens. It is very crowded, not sure if I would recommend this particular tour

The description of the tour is misleading. I booked the English speaking tour. It was in English, but also in Spanish. This meant that half of the tour was spent with the guide saying the same thing twice in 2 different languages. Pretty much a waste of time.
