This was a really great tour! Personally I would have loved even MORE Sound of Music stops, but I understand that it would have taken up too much of our Salzburg exploration time. Bascialy I need to come back and stay in Salzburg because it's gorgeous and there's so much to see. Loved our guide Joseph and our pretty drive with stops along the lakes. The van was very comfortable with big windows, so you have a view no matter where you sit. Loved this small group experience!

This was a powerful trip that will stay with me for a long time. Both the tour guide on the bus on the way to Mauthausen and the guide at Mauthausen were extremely knowledgable. The stop at the Quarry, while short, was one of the highlights of the trip. A definite must for your trip to Austria.

The road to Salzburg, the views, and the stops along the way were as much an experience if not more than Salzburg itself. Robert, the guide was great and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!

Yosef was an amazing driver and guide!! So friendly and full of information!! He gave us enough stops to eat and use the toilet on the way to Salzburg and back to Vienna. He stopped at beautiful spots to take pictures by the lake and was very helpful on our guided tour in Salzburg!! We got plenty of free time to get lunch and shop and visit other points of interest!! I would definitely recommend this day trip to Salzburg from Vienna with this tour company!!

Our guide Wolfgang was fantastic. Full of stories and bits of every day facts that only Austrians would know. He was engaging and answered all our questions. We only had 7 people in our group so it was a nice size. Several short stops along the way. The lakes we saw were all beautiful and broke up the 3 hour ride. Salzburg was well worth the drive. It gives you a perspective of what the rest of Austria is like outside of Vienna. Looking at the Alps along the way was so peaceful. Salzburg on Saturday was incredibly crowded with both tourists and locals due to the. Christkindlmarkt. Beautiful city and only wish we had more time to wander. It was a long day but worth every minute. If you’re a Sound of Music fan, you will see some spots.

Such a fun day trip from Vienna! Easy 2.5 hour drive. Our driver Wolfgang was great with a very comfortable Mercedes Van for 4 adults. Our guide in Budapest Anita was fantastic as well. Her tour showed her knowledge and passion for the history of Hungary and Budapest. Highly recommend!!

This was a great tour thanks to Robert, the driver and guide. He was friendly, knowledgeable and full of facts about Mozart, The Sound of Music, and all the sites we passed/stopped at.

What an amazing day to see such a beautiful town. This was a great overview of the city, Mozart facts, Sound of Music points of interest, and the magical Christmas markets! This was well worth my money and time.

Excellent trip to lake area & Salzburg. Guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of information and stories. During first stop we were given some time to walk around the town and see the famous church- we chose to walk to the lake and took beautiful photos. Second stop at lake area also given some time to walk and take photos. In Salzburg given a detailed tour by our guide and then given free time for lunch, shopping or museums. Highly recommend.

Schoenbrunn Palace was the main summer residence of the Hapsburgs. The name means "beautiful spring". The 1,441 room Baroque palace is one of the most important architectural, cultural, and historic monuments in the country. The history of the palace and its vast gardens spans over 300 years, reflecting the changing tastes, interests, and aspirations of successive Hapsburg monarchs. This was an amazing day trip, which was well-managed, extremely enjoyable with stops in Austria's lake country along the way and altogether a worthwhile experience that is a must-do in a visit to Vienna. Our guide, Josef, was a pleasure to travel with and talk to. He was ready at the designated meeting spot well ahead of us, and had the vehicle ready. The vehicle was a Mercedes Benz Van which was very clean and in great condition. Throughout the trip, Josef was great at providing very helpful tips and explanations in his great English. Along the way, we made several stops at lakes and interesting spots, some locations of the "Sound of Music". In Salzburg, we had a mix of a guided tour by Josef as well as free time to ourselves to spend on things we enjoyed. We followed a restaurant recommendation from Josef and loved it. Josef was great at managing time and got us back to Vienna exactly at the time advertised in the tour. We have to commend his excellent time-management skills. We would highly recommend this tour and were very very happy we booked it.
