My husband and I attended two tours with Wandering Owl, and had the absolute privilege of having Tomás as our guide for both of the trips! It was comforting to know our trip was done ethically and sustainably. Tomás provided the perfect balance of knowledge and humor - not to mention he took beautiful photos! We'll cherish these memories and pictures forever. Although luck may have played a big part in us seeing two magnificent shows (dancing lights, multiple colors), we couldn't have experienced it as incredibly as we did without Tomás! Isaac and Michael did an amazing job finding secluded spots with clear skies to see the lights, even on a night that was overcast and snowy at times. They found two sites and we made a campfire in one after walking up a short hill in the snow. The temps were well below zero but we weren’t cold at all with the thermal suits and boots provided. The aurora were spectacular and Isaac took some great portraits of us, the group and the lights. He was so friendly and engaging and I learned a lot about the lights that I didn’t know. It was a magical night, especially because we had our own space rather then being in crowded sites with the big buses. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Despite cloudy sky that night we managed to see wonderful aurora thanks to good monitoring done by the crew :) Friendly and helpful guides, hot drinks and yummy soup, thermal suits included. Highly recommended!

It was a very good tour. Mia and Michael were excellent guides and drivers. They were great at finding beautiful spots for photos. We had so much fun, and Mia was very kind and helpful to us.

Lucas and Michael literally went extra miles to find the Northern Lights despite cloud cover coming quickly. We had 2 opportunities to see the lights and it was amazing. I am Australian and it was -22 degrees which was a very new experience, but the boots and suit provided made a HUGE difference. Lucas had a lot of knowledge and enthusiasm. BOOK THIS!!

It was a cloudy day with a lot of snow so our tour guides took us into Finland , Driver Maciej was so expert that he was quick to reach there even with the a lot of snow and our guide Erika was so professional that she gave us motivation along the tour and she took us into a beautiful place as we was lucky enough to find a gap into the cloud thanks to the professional guide we had and after northern light had a beautiful dance above us for about an Half hour and Erika click our a lot of beautiful photos and as I choose a special night so she make more of us and the Maciej was always busy with his work to make a warm with a fire around us and with some hot soup

We spent a wonderful night under the stars and the aurora baurealis thanks to the group dynamics and our lovely guide! The spot was amazing:) I highly recommend Wandering Owl!

We had a magical evening in Tromsø thanks to Tomás, our exceptional guide. His expertise on the northern lights was truly impressive, and he took us to the best spot to enjoy this unique spectacle. Despite the initially planned schedule, he extended the experience, giving us over 5 hours in the main spot of observation and sharing. Tomás took great care of us throughout the evening: a delicious soup, coffee, hot chocolate, and captivating stories around a warming bonfire that enriched the experience. Not only did he help me adjust my camera settings to capture stunning photos of the Northern Lights, but he also went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable throughout the night. The tour was incredible! The northern lights showed up and made the night absolutely perfect. Tomas, our guide, was awesome—great storyteller, picked the best spots, shared interesting facts, played good music, and even took amazing photos. Plus, I made new friends with an awesome group. 10/10 would recommend Wandering Owl!

Mia and Lucas are the absolute best. They truly took us hunting for the Aurora. It was a cloudy day and are chances were not great. They rallied us, took us to Finland, and helped us find an opening on the cloudiest of days to get a glimpse of the Aurora. While it was difficult to see the lights that day (for reasons way beyond their control), they created an amazing atmosphere, shared great stories and mythology around the Aurora, and ensured we had a pleasurable and awesome experience. My fiance and I will never forget the experience. Lastly, its rare to find tour operators who do this reguarly who have maintained their enthusiasm and joy for their work. Mia and Lucas passion for the lights really came through and their energy carried us during times when we hit setbacks on seeing the lights. Highly recommend. Best tour and tour operators in the Tromso area!

Incredible experience accompanied by Anna and Maciej who did everything to make sure we had a wonderful evening. We had the best New Year's Eve ever! Anna's explanations were very interesting and helped us understand a lot about the Northern Lights, but also about Norwegian culture. Maciej was an incredible driver. As an added bonus, Anna provided us with her magnificent photographs and saved us our camera settings so we could immortalize the spectacle. We highly recommend Wandering Owl to anyone who wants to hunt for the Northern Lights in a very friendly atmosphere.

We booked an aurora hunt directly with wandering owl after reading excellent reviews on Facebook, and we are so glad we did! We had 5 nights in Tromso and the first 4 were solid cloud and snow storms with no chance at all of seeing the lights! We booked on our last night out of desperation that if anyone would get us to see them then it would be the wandering owl! Javi scoured his apps looking at the weather and aurora updates and decided the best chance was to head to Skibotn. Marcin drove us south towards the Finland border while we all kept our fingers crossed for a chance at some gaps in the cloud. We arrived at a beautiful private spot at about 9.30pm. Surrounded by mountains and snow the gaps did indeed come!! For about half an hour we were treated to the aurora dancing across the sky in front of us! Javi took photos of us all and then gave excellent help and advice on how to photograph the lights ourself. He provided tripods to those that needed them. We then all sat around a campfire listening to interesting facts about the aurora and Norway history. Dinner was a delicious homemade soup, followed by hot drinks and cookies. When it was time to leave Marcin was kind enough to drop us home to our air BnB even though it was slightly outside the city centre. We are so glad we chose the wandering owl for our aurora hunt. It truly was a night to remember forever.

Tomas was a wonderful guide! It was a snowy evening and the chances of seeing the lights were very low. Nevertheless, Tomas tried his very best to find the lights. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see them but he still made it a great time for everyone involved. We had a super fun photoshoot and fun sitting around the campfire, chatting. He educated us on the history of Norway as well as the future of the arctic & the science of the lights. I went on another tour with another company that did not do all of the education that this company did. Overall, it was an excellent adventure all thanks to our guide & good vibes in the group.
