    Amazing photo tour of Oslo.
I booked this tour for seeing Oslo and photo shooting. Rami checked my husband's portfolio to customize our tour and make the most of our time. Rami was very flexible and ready to change the plan as needed. We've seen parts of Oslo we would never find by ourselves and we hadn't seen on the Instagram. He made us thinking of coming to Oslo again. Highly recommended!!!

Rami was amazing and personable. He was informative and answered all our questions. Rami gave us a detailed narrative of Jewish life before and during WWII. We cannot recommend this tour more!

Wonderful Jewish Heritage Tour and more
Rami is an excellent guide. He also is an artist and historian. He was very responsive to emails. We booked directly with him so we had much more flexibility in planning. He an interesting person and has a great personality. Our tour covered more than Jewish heritage including Oslo City Hall and Vigeland Sculpture Park. His commentary enhanced our appreciation of Oslo and those sites. Oslo City Hall has stunning murals that depict Norwegian history including WWII. Rami made suggestions that helped us to capture the best photos with our phones. We highly recommend Rami Kasparov and Oslo Photo Tour. Our time with him was extremely well spent and definitely made our visit to Oslo better.

    Reliving the ancestors' lives
We contacted Rami due to his great TripAdvivsor.com reviews and asked if he would provide a custom tour for us to visit residences and churches related to my husband’s ancestors. His great grandparents moved from Oppland to Oslo, married, then emigrated to America in 1883. We provided Rami with the list of apartment addresses and churches. Rami arranged for us to see all these special places. But, even before we toured with Rami, he introduced us to the digitaltmuseum.no where he had located an old photo of one of the apartments. (That website is a great find!) He also introduced us to Norway's National Library where we found relevant documents. (We also visited the Library when in Oslo which can be helpful because some documents are only available to people using a computer with an ip address from Norway.) He suggested that we have a drink at an old beer garden where the ancestors likely went. He went out of his way to prepare for our visit, and to help us prepare by providing information. He did this all without prompting. And, he agreed to take photos along our tour. What great service. Our tour with Rami was just what we wanted. He arrived at our hotel before the scheduled time. He brought a vehicle that was comfortable for everyone in our group. He was well-prepared, having done research in advance to make the most of our time. Rami had good knowledge of the area and Norway in general so he could answer our questions. He allocated sufficient time for our tour and we did not feel rushed. The tour involved driving and walking. At certain points on the walking portion, he advised us to proceed while he went back to the vehicle and brought the vehicle to us. That made it very convenient for us. Rami brought photographic and historical information to help us understand the history of Oslo and Norway. He had a pleasant personality and was enjoyable to be with. He was eager to please us and gave us valuable suggestions for future days of sightseeing and restaurants. Best of all, he had fantastic camera equipment (and expertise) and took photos of everything we wanted. He delivered the photos via an email drop box 36 hours after the tour ended. Our only regret is that we hadn’t hired him for more days!

An interesting and rewarding Jewish History Tour in Oslo
I found this Jewish History Tour by searching in Google, and I was able to arrange for the tour according to my limited schedule, and I'm VERY glad that I took the tour. Previously, I had known only the outlines of the history of Jews in Norway, and I found Rami to be very knowledgeable and engaging -- we visited the key sites and I learned a lot of interesting facts regarding the history of Jews as well as about the country as a whole. I highly recommend anybody who is interested in these subjects to contact Rami and book his tour.

    FABULOUS OSLO HISTORICAL TOUR
Oslo is a phenomenal city! Needs an extraordinary guide to walk you through to see some of its past and living history. You will find that on the tour with Rami. Excellent service, insight, and kindness to us today. He went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule last minute. We learned a substantial amount about Norway and its complicated history through the private tour and epic photos. Highly recommended to all.

SMARTEST GUIDE! BROUGHT EARPHONES FOR EVERYONE SO WE COULD HEAR!
Rami is THE BEST! We wanted to get a tour and a real understanding of the Jewish history of Oslo and we found the expert in Rami. First, he came equipped with earphones for our group of six. It was fantastic because he didn't have to shout to be heard, and what is even better….all of us could hear him perfectly!! I wish every guide would do this! Then, Rami explained about Jewish Norway, and Oslo, and answered any questions we had. He was patient and incredibly smart. He was also flexible. We had many walking tours in Norway and Sweden and Rami was definitely the one I would recommend the most.

    Insight-making and so enjoyable
Rami used local sites to convey the history of the Jews of Norway. He was learned and great company. This tour added so much to our understanding and is a cherished memory. Rami is creative and good company. I highly recommend his tour.

    Outstanding from start to finish!
I have done photography tours in 6 countries and Rami is among the best! Before we flew to Oslo, he emailed us several times regarding our expectations and what he could do to help us. He arranged all of the transportation for my wife and I. We saw areas of Oslo that only locals go to. Additionally, he took pictures of us and sent them to us afterwards. Bonus! I would highly recommend Rami and his tour. He really knows his stuff and is a pleasure to work with and learn from!

A Day Full of Surprises in Oslo!
Our day in Oslo was wonderful thanks to Rami. We had corresponded through various emails prior to our tour and Rami was always so prompt in replying. He was extremely helpful with all the suggestions and information he provided to allow us to customize our tour even more. Rami is very professional, friendly, and flexible. He took all the stress from us and we were able to enjoy the day photographing and seeing some of the hidden gems. We had visited Oslo before, and as photographers, we wanted to see different things and ones that you would only find by having someone with local knowledge. Rami saw to all the details and made our day so special. He offered lots of ways to be creative with our photos and to make them more interesting. This only comes from someone that knows the scene and that is what you get with Rami. It is great when you leave a city with so many nice memories, images and a new friend. The next time our travels bring us to Oslo we will definitely book another tour with Rami.

If you have limited time and can only do 1 thing in Oslo, book a tour with Rami!
Rami picked me up on time at my hotel. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and responsive to what I've wanted to do. During the photo tour, he led us to some hidden gems in Oslo, giving plenty of opportunity for great shots while always explaining the history and facts of the Norwegian capital and giving advice on how to get the most out of your camera. He even went out of his way to drive us to some spectacular viewpoints overlooking Oslo (apparently the spot which inspired Munch's "Scream" painting). When we were finished, he gave advice on what else to do in Oslo, where to get good sunset and sunrise photos. I can highly recommend Rami as a tour guide for anything Oslo related. If you have only time for 1 singe activity in Oslo, you should really consider one of the bespoke tours Rami offers.

    Excellent Prívate Photo Tour
I had a great two hour guided tour with Rami. He took me to some wonderful spots of Oslo streets, City Center and Opera House that were perfect for photography. This was my third time in Oslo and I already visited the park and other places, so I asked Rami for a different tour and he came with a perfect plan. He is very kind and knows perfectly well what a photographer will be looking for, so if you are interested in visiting Oslo or if you are looking for a photo tour, don’t hesitate and write Rami his web page is easy to find.

This is an extraordinary tour and is a must if you have even the slightest interest in WW II history, and events that have deeply shaped modern Norwegian society. You will learn more than you can imagine, and you will see places where significant events occurred that are not at all obvious without inside knowledge. The tour guide, Rami Kafarov, brings a breadth and depth of knowledge, meticulous research, and real passion to his tour. He is friendly, articulate, and clearly very committed to the subject. This was a very meaningful experience.

As a World War II history buff, I felt privileged to have this opportunity! Rami was so well-organized and intentional with the content and places we visited. It was incredible to view, and learn about, significant locations and then to see the pictures from the war in the exact spots. I also valued Rami's responsivness before the tour, and he even followed-up with additional information afterward! I would absolutely recommend!

Our tour began and ended with the most famous incidents of the German attack on Norway, and the Occupation, with our guide Rami Kafarov describing both the heroism and the failures on the Norwegian side. We started in the shadow of the royal palace, and ended at the site of Germany's capitulation--the Akershus fortress. In between we visited many locations associated with daily life under occupation, including the various creative ways ordinary citizens resisted the occupation.

Our guide has done a lot of research, especially in photographic archives. As a result, he was able to show us photos from the occupation matching the buildings and streets we walked during the tour. Some of that research is reflected in a photographic booklet that can be purchased at the end of the tour.

Highly recommended, especially for students of WWII and for those (as in my case) whose family histories include those years in Norway.

Rami's guided walk is meticulously researched, combining original 1940s photos with a photographer's eye and a good guides ability to bring stories to life. From collaborators and Quisling, the heroes of the resistance and the fate of Norway 's Jewish community, we were fascinated and moved. I am a guide myself, and can wholeheartedly recommend this guide. Easy to find and book direct too if you wish.

I highly recommend exploring the city with such a guide! With Rami you will find yourself in the most caring hands! And you no longer feel like a tourist, because he will tell you how to get there, where to eat, what to drink, where to go (depending on your desires and budget), and even what souvenirs to bring. I'm not talking about magnets, but about cool salmon that the locals eat. The historical data is very easy to understand and peppered with beautiful legends and everyday stories of the people of Norway! Have a great trip!

We selected Rami as our guide when seeking a tour of Jewish Oslo and found him to be a superbly well informed guide of the history of Norway, its culture and alliances. Part of his tour of Jewish Oslo included specially arranged visits to the Jewish Museum and the synagogue from the 1920s. His tour of the incredible Vigeland Sculpture Park included his knowledge and insights into the background of Vigeland, the artist and the statues themselves. His visit to this world renown park should not be missed. He has another tour focused on the war years of occupation. His was one of the most meaningful tours we have ever had on our many travels.

I have always had a deep interest in WWII history. On our first visit to Norway we took this tour with Rami. AMAZING!!!!

Not only did he work with me to find a date/time that worked for both our schedules he gladly went over the amount of time scheduled for the tour and gave my wife and myself a tour of a lifetime. To say it was like drinking from a WWII history firehose would be an understatement.

Rami has stayed in touch with emails on topics of interest we discussed during our tour in Oslo.

So glad we took his tour!
