      Great Cruise
A very scenic tour, beautiful to go around the fjords of Norway, the shrimp buffet was great quality and tasty but not very filling. Crew were lovely, sociable and tended to all of our needs. Very good value for money!

      Each boat, a different experience
Two ships sailed at the same time, ours, the Christiana, and Helen, from deck 4, in front of the City Hall. Ours was peaceful, with soft recorded music and family and friends talking, taking photographs. The other was a party boat, with loud live music, people cheering, yelling (even “mooning” at us). Both were running in motors and not sails, that were nowhere to be seen. The ship was fully booked and we had to wait standing until the captain found us a place, on a table that had been added, wich we shared with a family of three. It was a smooth tour around the fjord. When the buffet was ready, we had to go downstairs, through a steep, narrow stair, to grab bread, butter, lettuce and whole cold shrimps; after removing the head and shell, they were rather small (cocktail size or U-30). The bar had wine, champage, beer, soft drinks, tea, coffee and water for sell. It was getting cloudy and the captain did his best to place us behind a clear spot, but around 9:00 he couldn’t avoid the rain anymore and we all rush down to the windowless ship cask. A Russian or Polish group started playing guitar and singing softly, very nicely. After about 30 minutes the rain stopped and we all emerged, using the ship’s blankets to sit on the wer benches, in time to see the return to harbor.

Charming Sing a long fjord cruise
Fantastic trubadour who makes the evening complete! The Oslo fjord archipelago is a beautiful scenery. The old sailingships are really charming. You get a nice picnicbasket with some cheese and cured ham tapas, bread&aioli. The bar has all rights. The crew are welcoming and serviceminded. You dont have to sing along, just enjoy 3h on the fjord!

      Great dinner cruise
We really enjoyed our dinner cruise. The crew was very pleasant and professional. The food was good but it is only seafood and bread. Some kind of salad would have been nice. This dinner cruise was a good value. My only recommendation is that the information from TripAdvisor should contain the cruise company name, Troll, in more places on the confirmation. We had trouble figuring out which ship it was.

I am giving 4 stars simply for the fact that the captain put up with our shenanigans in feeding the seagulls, that created a swarm around the boat 😂 The advertisement was a bit misleading as this was not a working sailboat - which we were expecting. The shrimp/crayfish/crab claw buffet was subpar but the crew were all young and friendly, and we met some great people from around world.

Stay away! This is not a cruise or guided tour.
This was not a guided cruise. It was a ferry boat leased out to Trollcruise to carry passengers a few times a day. Nothing more. There was no crew except the ferry crew, and they did not interact with the passengers in any way. 1. First, the boat was late arriving, forcing passengers to wait in the cold rain with no shelter for 15 minutes. 2. Second, the boat was freezing. There was air coming from the ventilation ports, but it was cold. About half way through he trip I lost feeling in my fingers. 3. Third, the audio commentary was useless. The volume was so low, it was impossible to hear unless you stood directly under a speaker. And even then, the speaker used such poor English that it was impossible to understand 90% of what she said. There were brochures for Voice of Norway on the benches that promised a synchronized audio guide, but the app content had nothing to do with the cruise. Don't waste your money on this!

      Perfect boat tour around Oslo
Very interesting tour around Oslo and the Fjord. Interesting information during the trip. Also very good new ship, cruising completely silent and only with electric power through the water! Perfect!

      A vacation highlight!!!
I’ve traveled a lot in my life and just spent five weeks in Norway and France. This outing with Trollcruise was one of my all time highlights. Some friends and I went on a Wednesday when they had music. We shared a couple of generously supplied baskets of food which included meat, focaccia bread (really good), olives, nuts, cheese, and a free drink including beer or wine. They take off out of the Oslo harbor so it was easy to get to. This is a main area of town walking distance from the train station or just about anywhere central. The musician was multi-lingual and talented. His name is Ole Martin. There were Norwegians, French, Italians, and Americans on board that night. We joined in singing songs in English and Norwegian. I don’t remember all of the songs but I remember a few from Creedance Clearwater, The Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen. We had a really, really excellent time singing and looking at Oslo and surrounding from the boat. The boat is a large wooden sailing ship with a friendly captain and crew. We ate and drank, and sang our way around the Oslo fjord for a couple of hours into the sunset. If it sounds magical, it was. The price was extremely reasonable for what you got. Definitely a great value and memories for a lifetime. See my photos. You’ll get the idea. If you are in Norway, don’t miss this. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful tour of the fjord with great dinner :)
The food was very tasty and hit the spot. The boat ride takes you though charming little islands and I am in love with the wooden red houses ❤️

Great way to see the fjords
Easy to book online. On the day it was difficult to find the right berth, but we asked around and found it. Staff were very friendly, and served with a smile. It is very weather depend, we had very good weather and the journey was very pleasing. It was just nice to go around the Fjords in a wooden ship. Whilst the food was very good, it is worth noting that they serve a fish buffet only. We are not aware of any other alternatives other than bread/butter. Overall we thought it was good value for money, and definitely worth doing it if it's good weather.

I was visiting Oslo with 5 friends and we were looking forward to a 2 hour scenic boat tour, which was to be the highlight of our weekend. The representative at the quay overbooked the boat and so despite having paid £200 and waiting 90 minutes, we were not allowed on.

Worse still, we were told by the representative that “we could accept a refund or use our tickets on a different boat that had agreed to help out for the same price.” We did not take him up on his “kind” offer as this different boat was not a scenic boat trip at all, but was actually a FREE passenger ferry.

It was very deceitful and whilst Trollcruise did honour the refund, the experience spoilt our day, along with many other tourists left stranded on the quay.

Dear John, thank you for the feedback. We recorded your negative respond via email and were in contact with you after the tour. We also immediately processed the full refund to your bank account and apologized you several times for what happened. As we already explained, due to internal issues, we could not accommodate more passengers that day. It is disappointing that you threatened us and left us this feedback even after our immediate contact and refund.

Beautiful day on a nice comfortable boat. I knew there was no narration and downloaded the app, but the pre-recorded explanations were short, not very informative and hard to relate to the point of interest. For example, there was discussion of a golf course you couldn’t see and not really interesting anyway. A live narrator would be much better even if the cost was higher. Also, everyone had a hard time finding the starting point since the boat was out when we arrived. There is a flag, but no kiosk. A simple sign that says “Oslofjord Tour starts here” would go a long way.

Didn't happen! Waited at the pick up point until after the given time with 8 other people who were also waiting and after one of the others rang we found out it had been cancelled. Supposedly we had all been sent an email but not one of us had! Happened again when we were in Stockholm with our booked Vasa tour.

Lovely 2 hour cruise on the fjord round the islands & shoreline. Pleasant clean, warm & quiet boat. The guided talk was informative & interesting. There was opportunity to disembark at one island & make your own way back via frequent ferry service.
An opportunity to pay on the boat or via ticket office instead of an app/scan code would have been useful.

What an incredibly beautiful place to cruise round and how pleasant to be in a silent electric boat.

The trip was well planned and relaxed with a lovely crew. There is an app that automatically gives you detailed commentary on a geolocated basis with interesting and pertinent facts and history

I thoroughly recommend it and a great way to spend two hours

We took a seat upstairs outside at the back in full sunshine (were at front of queue to make sure we got a seat with an unrestricted view). It was fantastically relaxing just to see the world go by. I thought the commentary would be given on board somehow, but this needs to be downloaded in advance via an app I think - read the confirmation email closely! So - we didn't know exactly what we were looking at - but still really enjoyed it. It seemed to be good value to us.

Quality at its best, it was so good. I have booked to go back in September 2023, the people are so friendly. Oslo has such a vibe, you just want to spend more time there. Plenty to see and do, and the trip out into the Fjords was so relaxing. Great places to eat and drink, and the transportation is really good in Oslo. But please remember you may have to download travel apps for buses and railways, also cruise of the Fjords.

Very good value for money compared to the prices in this country.
It had been snowing, so the islands looked beautiful. Very peaceful sitting inside in the warm. Lots of windows.
Standing outside watching the boat break the ice was fascinating, but freezing.
I would have given 5, but the outside decks could have been cleared of snow and ice as they were really slippery.

Very nice relaxing way to see the Oslo fjord. It’s an electric boat so a very silent and comfortable boat ride. The views are beautiful. Good commentary in English but would of helped if they specified on which side of the boat they were referring to.

A decent tour. Guide was originally hard to hear, but turned up the volume and that fixed it. Sit on the left side for best views. Comfy, not crowded in November, fast, and cool stuff to see and learn about. Wasn't blown away, but it was a decent way to spend a couple hours.
