Get acquainted with the seaside splendor of Poole during a 75-minute cruise of Europe’s largest natural harbor from Poole. Climb aboard a traditional fishing boat and enjoy spectacular views of the famous Sandbanks, the Blue Lagoon and Corfe Castle. Listen to illuminating commentary from your expert guide as you sail from the picturesque town of Poole to Brownsea Island. Hear of how Poole Harbour was formed in the last ice-age and absorb the tranquility of the ocean before returning to Poole Quay.

What to Expect

After selecting a departure time to suit your schedule, climb aboard your awaiting boat at Poole’s quaint quayside and set sail on the calm waters of Europe’s largest natural harbor. Receive an interesting introduction to the history and geology of the region from your knowledgeable captain as you sail towards Brownstone Island, home to the impressive Corfe Castle.

Capture panoramic views of the opulent houses of Sandbanks and the picturesque islands of Poole Harbour as you sail. Gaze at the glittering surface of the Blue Lagoon from a comfortable seat on the top deck, or relax with a cup of fragrant tea in the heated saloon area.

When your 75-minute cruise comes to a conclusion, return to Poole Quays and continue exploring the town independently.

Island cruises

The cruise around the islands off Poole is a fantastic trip. The commentary was informative without being annoying. Well worth the money. Would go again if I was around the area.

Great way to spend a day in Poole

An excellent cruise with a most informative commentary. Very easy itinerary allowing time to be spent on Brownsea Island (entry free for National Trust members). We will repeat this trip when returning to Poole!
