About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Q3022FYdarrenw0 contributionsAnother great trip out with JasonAnother short trip up to dive with Jason at Wreckspeditions was a roaring success. Although the weather gods were against us, Jason's skills and local knowledge meant we were able to dive both days - the Akka, Gantocks, Seagull, and Landing Craft. Jason makes it look easy, his dive briefs are excellent, and the apres dive care on and off the boat is second to none.Written 30 December 2024
- 958stewartw0 contributionsVery professional !Went up to Dunoon to dive 4 wrecks in the Clyde. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we had to change plans but we still managed to get 4 wreck dives in over a 2 day period. Jason, the equipment and buildings are all first class - everything is super professional with the best dive briefings.Written 30 December 2024
- elizabethhartley0 contributionsAmazing!Where do I start?! What an incredible operation. From start to finish, safety took top priority. Jason is an outstanding skipper, knowing the tides, sites, and conditions and knowing exactly where to drop us. Our club had a few equipment issues and he was straight on to help. A very professional operation and we had so much fun! The hot chocolates and mince pies were a bonus too! Highly recommend and will be back!Written 9 December 2024
- krisf9900 contributionsExceptional Diving with WreckspeditionsWe had an incredible day with Jason from Wreckspeditions! Eight of us dove the Akka and Peacock wrecks, and Jason made the experience seamless from start to finish. His expertise as a skipper and diving instructor shone through, from assisting with kit and equipment to perfectly placing the shot lines. Surface pickups were smooth and topped off with the highlight of the day—Jason’s hot chocolate, which honestly gives Starbucks and Costa a run for their money! We also enjoyed chatting with him about his inspiring work with Ghost Fishing UK. A fantastic day out that we’d highly recommend to any diver. Thanks, Jason!Written 8 December 2024
- P6580IQgordonb0 contributionsDive dayFantastic skipper , very knowledgable and safety is top priority , dropped us perfectly to meet the shot line down to the wrecks we dived , Jason’s help getting kitted up is 2nd to none 👌🏻 post dive hot drinks & festive mince pies were just what we needed once safely back aboard the starfish enterprise , can’t wait to get back for another great day ! Thanks again for making our trip even better than we expectedWritten 8 December 2024

- stockersstanton0 contributionsAnother great 3 days divingAnother great 3 days of diving. Jason has an ability to find sheltered sites even when there is a force 4 from the south. Dived around the Cumbrae Islands on wrecks and beautiful reefs, so well looked after.Written 18 September 2024
- notravel20100 contributionsDive charterMany thanks to Jason who, as always, made our dive charter a very relaxing and enjoyable weekend. He really goes the extra mile to make everything run safely and smoothly, nothing is too much trouble. Also, the best hot chocolate on the Clyde!Written 16 September 2024
- lynnfC70TG0 contributionsFabulous boat tripWhat a fabulous trip! Jason ensured we all had a great time. He was very knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife and the history. Seeing a wreck up close was really interesting. Highly recommend, we’ll be back very soon.Written 25 August 2024
- rosanneg2190 contributionsExhilarating and professional . Don’t miss out !We would highly recommend a trip out with Jason . Extremely professional, warm and friendly, we went for a Holy Loch blast and my two sons were delighted with a look at the wreck and Jason was brilliant answering my eldest sons questions about the boat, the sonar and the Loch . The communication for the booking beforehand was excellent and because of the awful weather coming in we had to re jiggle to a half hour trip but it was still amazing Jason was very accommodating and made sure we didn’t miss out , so next time we hope to do the longer “ Doon the Watter” trip . Thanks again !Written 22 August 2024
- Vegas2203050 contributionsBoat tripOK to start with we were booked on a ship wreck tour but unfortunately due to bad weather it wasn't possible, Jason then offered us a 1/2 hour trip round the lock because it was a little bit calmer,of course at first we a little bit disappointed, but this wasn't to be Jason was so friendly and knowledgeable such a pleasure meeting him .the trip he provided was such fun ,I would highly recommend anyone visiting the area to book with them, cheers Jason good jobWritten 20 August 2024
- Daydream124596087800 contributionsFun local divingWe did two dives in the Holy Loch - the Seagull and the salvage wreck. Jason is a great skipper with fantastic knowledge of local dive sites, both wreck and scenic. The post-dive hot chocolates were an added bonus. We hope to do some more diving with Wreckspeditions next time we are in the area. Thanks Jason, we had a great day and really appreciate you taking us out! Libby & DanWritten 14 August 2024
- vickyperry32120 contributions100 out of 10, would recommend!!Jason was absolutely AMAZING on our recent trip to the lochs!!! He quite literally saved our club trip after we experienced problems with filling cylinders! He went out of his way to accommodate our needs, gave us invaluable advice about dive sites and accompanied a couple of us on one of our pleasure dives. If I could give him a 10 star rating, I would!! And he would get an extra 3 for the amazing hot choccie and flapjack ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Written 13 August 2024
- Q3022FYdarrenw0 contributionsWreckspeditions went above and beyondJason has been such a star during our stay over the past week, and during the planning over the last few weeks. He's gone above and beyond at every stage to help us out with fills, advice, and even joined us for a dive on his day off to share his local knowledge. His excellent reputation proceeds him and is absolutely well deserved. What a legend! A huge thank you from the damp campers from Leeds!!Written 13 August 2024

Jason and Claire provide a great service for visiting divers. Their knowledge and enthusiasm make any trip fun, safe, and memorable. This time we took part in a war wrecks weekend, taking in submerged sites from the American Civil War to WW2. This included diving down to bouncing bombs that were dropped in Loch Striven during training exercises. Amazing history and amazing service from Wreckspeditions. We will be back!

Just need diving for the weekend with Jason on his fabulous boat Starfish enterprise. The weather was being challenging but Jason went above and beyond to get us some excellent dives. On board he gives detailed dive briefings and is very helpful with divers as the kit up and de kit. He also offers superb hot chololates with cream and marshmallows and flapjacks for the hungry diver. This is a top diving operation and I thoroughly recommend Wreckspeditions.

We would highly recommend Wreckspeditions. Jason, the skipper of the Starship Enterprise is an absolute gem of a bloke with a welcoming personality. He answered all questions my young children asked him....and made us feel very comfortable. It was nice that he explained the itinerary of the trip, and he knew exactly where to find the porpoise and seals. He also used his boating skills to get us up within touching distance of the ship wreck. For a great experience when visiting Dunoon and surrounding areas, we definitely recommend Wreckspeditions!

Great trip out with our 4 crazy children who loved the whole experience as did we, we didn’t saunter across as my lot wanted to go as fast as possible up and turning around the loch and they got what they asked for. They were given hot chocolates when we slowed to review the sugar boot shipwreck and the 2 hrs flew bye. They were completely wiped out for the rest of the day with all the fresh air, we felt completely safe, everything was explained to us and we will hopefully return one day but would highly recommend to everyone.

Hi Emma
WOW!! Thank you sooooo much for this wonderful review. So glad you all really enjoyed yourselves on our shipwreck tour and glad the kids enjoyed whizzing around all over the place.
It's amazing where the time goes when you are enjoying yourselves, and a nice hot chocolate to warm up the belly always goes down a treat.
We sure hope you visit the area again and come out for more fun on the Clyde!
Take care
Jason

Had a brilliant day with family on Starfish Enterprise rib out of Holy Loch marina, visiting two wrecks close up, including the famous sugar boat. Great display by the pod of bottle-nosed dolphins off Cloch Point, and curious seals at the Gantocks. Very safe with captain Jason, whose knowledgeable commentary added a lot to the experience. Great fun for all ages, zipping across the firth among spectacular scenery. Highly recommended!

I’ve been on boat tours in the Med, the Atlantic, the Pacific & the Caribbean. This tops the lot.
We did the wreck tour with a bit of wildlife spotting en route, with teenage kids and a few older folk (some Clyde locals and some from further afield). Jason was absolutely brilliant as a guide/host. Good Covid precautions on top of the necessary safety instructions, and then plenty of interaction with us as to what we’d like to do, what our preferences were (speed-wise, etc.). Fascinating insights to the wildlife and he even showed us a few sunken boats that are below the surface (which I believe are recommended for divers). Great chance to get up close to the Clyde sugar boat. A trip to remember and repeat some day.

Hey guys
Thank you so much for your feedback and WOW what a recommendation.......better than the Carribean? I am speechless.....thank you so so much!!
It was really lovely having you guys out and being able to show you what the Clyde has to offer. This place is stooped in history and always amazing us, I don't think we could ever get bored of the scenery, the wildlife and the landmarks.
Really hope we can see you all again and thank you again for such kind words.
Stay safe, and take care

We were diving for the weekend, Jason's advice on dive sites was spot on, briefing was enough and not too much and the diving was very good. For RIB diving this is as good as it gets, I can't think of another skipper who goes to such lengths to ensure kitting up was easy, makes using stage cylinders easier than on a hard boat. I really can't think of anything more I could have asked for, other than mermaids serving G&T after the last dive of the day, the hot drinks and homemade cookies were a satisfactory substitute.

Thank you so much for your feedback, and will take on board the G&T mermaids for next time LOL. Really glad you enjoyed the weekends diving despite the wintery conditions. The diving can be hit and miss in the early part of the year here as it improves into the spring. We look forward to having your group up with us again for sure!

Our group from Merchant Navy Association had a fantastic day on the powerboat trip from Inverkip to the Sugar Boat wreck last week. Jason was so informative about the local history, wrecks, submarine nets and the MV Captayannis, great to see it up close. Weather was good, porpoises made an appearance and as an added bonus, hot chocolate with marshmallows - awesome! Thanks Jason for a very interesting and enjoyable trip, see you in June!

Without a doubt Jason is the best skipper I've dived with. His organization of the boat, kitting, de-kitting and looking after us was perfect. The dive briefs were outstanding and I followed them to a tee and had 8 amazing dives. Then to top it all not only is he a fount of knowledge about the history and geography of the area but he provided us with his "Famous Hot Chocolate" and "Home Baked Cakes" after each dive. I thoroughly enjoyed every trip on the boat.

We dived with Jason on a challenging weekend, with rain closing a lot of roads in Scotland and making the Clyde brown with peaty mud. Nevertheless Jason was able to find 4 dives sites that were interesting and suitable for our group with diverse interest and level of skill. Jason is an excellent skipper and has a passion for and knowledge of the areas that is unmatched.

Hi Tiago! yes that was some weekend...were we the only charter out in the country?? Maybe so. It was safe so we gave it a go and so glad we managed to find some sites that were't too muddy with the floods of peaty-ness. Look forward to catching up in 2024!
