In Devon on a few days break and persuaded the much better half that we could pay a visit to Crackshot I’ve seen the reviews and figured seeing as we’re in the area ……ish, it’d be rude not to, And it’d be good to see if they’re half as good as people say……..:: Well basically they’re not. They are SO much better, I’ve never been in a gun shop with so much stock and where every single member of staff is not only friendly but helpful in the extreme Chaz was the staff member who drew the short straw with us, and by the lord Harry did that fella earn his money, after well over an hour of advice and poking and prodding of nearly every blooming gun in there, off we trot upstairs to the superb indoor range, so that not only could I handle the guns of choice but get the chance to actually put quite a few rounds through them to see how they behave This is in itself one of the biggest things as a potential buyer, you can read, watch reviews etc, but until you get the chance to pull the trigger and see how it fits and behaves it could be totally the wrong gun That’s not going to happen here Chaz was superb, he was fitting scopes swapping mounts all just to ensure I got the best opportunity to see which guns were for me, nothing was a problem in fact short of buying dinner there really wasn’t much more he could of done! A word of warning though, I went in with a very clear idea of what I wanted and wasn’t to be dissuaded, but lo and behold how wrong was I. These guys will help you make an informed decision without pushing or looking at their watches every five minutes My apologies for the long winded review, but I can genuinely not extoll the virtues of this place more! Make the effort drive, train , bus, hell, walk if you have to, but if you’re looking to invest good money in an air rifle, you need to come here

Excellent facilities and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Help with my wife set up on her gun spent time on the range with her. She is in a wheelchair but no problem for them.

Visited today to use the shooting simulator with the family. My two 18/21 year old sons especially loved it - on reflection what a great experience we all had. Fairly priced at £25 for an hour which all four of us could get involved in. Massive screen, multiple games to play, from targets, animals, shoot em ups, which could be against the clock or against each other. Not been to an activity for sometime that represented such good value for money and yet didn’t appear in many search engines to be made aware of - don’t let it be a secret if your in the area, get booked in and have some fun!

What to do in Torbay in January on a Mum and daughter break? We visited Crack Shot. Such good fun, something we could compete against each other with equal status. Staff really helpful and explained how to use the guns and interactive screen games clearly so we could get the most from our visit. We opted for the rifle range, shotgun range and interactive games and would recommend this to any mixed age (adult/teen) groups. It is slightly off the beaten path but still easy to find.

Travelled down to Crackshot from Taunton to purchase a pistol. I had in mind four options, which was quickly narrowed down to two after I was given the opportunity to 'handle' the guns. After detailed description and advice and a trial firing, I selected the one I preferred. I consider myself to be a reasonably seasoned rifle shooter, but was given all the help and (most important) time I needed. I'm sure I will be back, it's worth the run down the motorway. We went as a small group of 3 and had an absolute blast. The instructor was patient and clearly explained everything we needed to do. He allowed us to have fun whilst we were keeping safe. We took on the 3 activities and loved every second of it... in fact we really didn't want to stop ! The rifle range and simulator were just brilliant. Definitely give this a go if you're in town !

Took the full 3 activity package, friendly, knowledgeable staff, safe surroundings, great fun. For an afternoon I'd recommend visiting.

Second visit in 2 weeks. My son took up shooting and I decided to go along. Never expected to be any good but enjoyed it so much I bought my own air rifle. Friendly helpful staff...good stock

Last minute booking while on holiday in Devon. We did the 3 lanes experience for a family of four. Brilliant fun and very good value for money. We all had an excellent time with the rifle range being the most liked by the family. The assistance from the team was brilliant with tips on how to improve our accuracy. Nice touch with the unlimited ammo. Would certainly go back.

Getting beaten by 10 year old son on his first go at shooting! Very enjoyable especially the rifle range. Pistols are fun and the simulator excellent as a 2 player. Tuition for son got him off to great start so thanks to Tom.

Excellent afternoon out for my 15 year old son and myself. Split rifle and Pistol combo - excellent fun - Talked through the process and safety by one of the team. Very friendly and very helpful - would highly recommend.

Crackshot is a lovely shop and on the surface polite and helpful staff until u buy a second hand gun from them and every thing changes. Purchased a second hand rifle that lasted just under a month. I enquired if the gun had been checked and was told it had been. Now l am being charged £60 for the manafacturer to put it right. A comment was made that they could sometimes only last 2 weeks. Still in the hands of the trading standards now. Fit for purpose.

I took my hubby to Crackshot, near Newton Abbot, for his 50th Birthday surprise. I am not sure which one of us had the most fun! I loved the rifle shooting & he was a happiest with the hand pistol. We both tried the gun simulator... The staff were welcoming, polite, friendly & informative. (We would both like to go again!)

We visited Crackshot to celebrate a birthday and had a great experience from start to finish. Neither of us had much experience of shooting on a range and the staff were so helpful and friendly in guiding us and giving tips along the way. They also allowed us to get on with it once we'd got the hang of it, anytime we had a question they were right there to help. Each range we went on were different and a fun challenge in their own way. A great way to spend the morning! Will definitely be taking another visit soon
