      Ouseburn food tour
My husband and I were lucky enough to be gifted an Ouseburn food tour. The day started with a fascinating walk through the Victoria tunnel hearing about the history of this unique landmark. Then onto Brinkburn brewery, our guide Dave was so knowledgeable about the Ouseburn valley and its historic buildings. Miso was the next stop sampling the small plates of Japanese cuisine and generous glasses of my favourite Picpoul wine. Anna Hedworths cookhouse was next, where the group had delicious family style servings to share together. We finished with dessert in Ernest. I can’t recommend a food tour enough. Such a wonderful convivial way to spend a day as a couple and meet new people. Amy who runs the business gave clear information and updates about all the timings of the day and where to meet etc We will most definitely be booking on the other tours on offer in the future!

      Wine & Cheese Tour
We had a fantastic day on our Ultimate Wine & Cheese Tour of Newcastle. We met our lovely guide Avril, who was fantastic. As we walked between our venues Avril told us about the local history of Newcastle and a few quirky bits of knowledge too. Each venue we went into made us feel at home, they then informed us about the various cheese & wines we were about to devour. The quantity and quality of the food and drinks we had throughout the day was excellent. The trip was value for money, guided around Town by the excellent Avril and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be recommending Triple A Tours to all our friends and family. See you again, Gary & Kristy.

      Mouth watering extravaganza
You might be fooled into thinking £75 per head is expensive but believe me when I say this trip is fantastic value for money. The quality of every single bit of it is outstanding, from the tunnel tour all the way through to a Michelin star restaurant, a brewery through to Japanese small plates, Prosecco and cake. It really is a feast, our guide today (3rd Feb) was perfect, keeping us together as a group, sharing bits of information with just the right amount of care, consideration and knowledge. I will definitely do this again and recommend it highly, it is a fabulous experience, off the beaten track, supporting local independent businesses. Five stars all the way!

      Excellent food & informative trip
We met our Guide, Julie, in the Market Square of Durham. She was bang on time and started with some great info about the history of the Market and the Square. We then went for a “breakfast” bacon sandwich with locally sourced produce at “Discovering Durham - Northern Stores and Deli” followed by a visit to the Indoor Market for warm drink from Market Hall Wines. It was then up to Durham Cathedral, where Julie pointed out many interesting things and visited two great local food venues, followed by afternoon tea Overall the experience was excellent, Julie very knowledgeable and it gave us an appetite to try the similar local tours

Fantastic tunnel and food tour. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic! This was such a brilliant idea and such an unforgettable great experience. From meeting our food guide Dave and tunnel guide Kevin we were looked after for four lovely hours. The tunnel was amazing. The stories to be told. Kevin was so enthusiastic and passionate and he impressed us all. Dave took over and we visited four amazing breweries/restaurants. The food was superb, the restaurants so welcoming we're left wanting more. We will no doubt revisit those venues and we are looking at other tours. We will spread the word. Thanks for making my birthday treat so memorable

      The perfect day in Newcastle
We did the Christmas food tour yesterday, it was my 3rd food tour and they just get better and better. Our lovely and knowledgeable guide Avril took us to some excellent places with an extra special visit to the castle which was a real treat, (I've been in the castle several times but this was a totally different experience). We were treated to some excellent food and drinks in the nicest places, and walking around Newcastle listening to the stories Avril was telling us, I I really couldn't fault the experience. Looking forward to my next one already.

A brilliant day and such good value for money
We actually did the Ouseburn tour with Victoria Tunnels Victoria Tunnels was so interesting and the guide so informative (& amusing); the food…….out of this world. We were full after our Japanese “snack”, not realising we had the main course yet to come - & then dessert! Truly all was totally fabulous & certainly value for money…….so much enjoyed, in fact, that I know another four family members can’t wait to book the same tour once your new season starts Also worth mentioning is the fact that the attitude to customer services of Amy and her team is over & above what anyone could possibly expect.

      Highly recommended Grainger Market Tour
This was an excellent food tour exploring the Grainger Market in Newcastle. We had plenty of time to walk around and ask questions with our guide, Avril, who was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and the market traders. The food and drinks were really good and very filling!

      Grainger Market Food tour
A great little tour. Booked by my wife as an early birthday surprise as it combined my interests in good food and exploring off the beaten track. I've rarely eaten in the Grainger Market and it was grest yo explore what it had to offer, with visits to seven of the vendors comprising all types of food and drink. Avril was a knowledgable guide and had a grest rapport with the group and vendors alike. Definitely a tour to recommend and I'll be looking at dome of the other tours they do.

      Wow fantastic day
Had a great day visiting the victoria tunnel with a guide who was very informative and friendly and he definatley knew the history of the victoria tunnels which made the tour very interesting for me. We then moved on to 4 eateries , each with a different type of food and atomosphere within a 5 min walk of each other. The food provided was amazeing and we tried food i had never had before with various alcohol/soft drinks provided there was more than enough to go around.Well worth the money paid and i will 100% be trying one of the other tours provided by this company,if it was possible i would give the easy booking on line, the guide and David ,the food ,the alcohol and the venue 10 out of 10.Well done Amy a definate hit with me.

A Christmas present for my wife and what a fascinating wander around Durham. Our guide Julie was very knowledgeable and a very professional friendly guide.
The first stop delivered an excellent breakfast butty in sourdough bread. The wine shop in the market provided great wine and an interesting conversation about wines. The restaurant that we had not come across before was the Barrio Comida and what an amazing find. Great food and a fantastic view of the cathedral. With 2 more stops on our tour, we were absolutely stuffed by the time we had finished and didn't eat again until the following day. We even had to take a doggy bag away with us from our dessert stop. Julie also shared some interesting facts and stories about Durham during the tour.
If you are in Durham and looking for a gentle wander around the city with regular stops for food and drink then this is the tour for you. The great news is that there are also food tours in Newcastle which are now on our to do list

We had an absolutely brilliant day with Julia! It was very good of the team to go ahead with the tour, given it was just me and my husband. What a treat to have a private tour of Durham!

Julia was fab, she gave us some very interesting facts about the city, we took in all the main sights, and every foodie stop-off was excellent. Thank you for introducing us to so many great, independent businesses (and for accommodating us so well as veggies) - we are already planning our next trip to re-visit!

This was a perfect birthday gift for my husband, thanks for making it so enjoyable. We will certainly be booking on future Triple A tours.

Booked this tour for my partner’s birthday and couldn’t have been more delighted. Julie went above and beyond to make sure we and the other guests had a great time. Loads of food sampling and LOADS of drinking! Got a couple of birthday surprises along the way so thanks to Julie for organising it. We enjoyed the Newcastle City centre Tour last year so much that when a Durham tour was added we immediately bought a voucher.
We met our guide Julie at the market place late morning a couple of days before the coronation of King Charles. The Durham tour consisted of 6 stops. Julie interspersed the food and drink stops with interesting facts about Durham. Without spoiling it for prospective tourers, it's all fascinating and occasionally surprising. Our second experience with Triple A food tours was every bit as good as our first. As well as the Newcastle tour, we still have a tour of Ouseburn and a tour of the Northumberland coast to try. We've already bought vouchers for the Grainger market tour for some friends to celebrate their wedding anniversary.
