My husband & I booked on to this tour on Sat 13/01/24. As January seems to be a quiet month , we were lucky in that we were the only two attendees. Our tour guide Tom was great, friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable about Durham and its history. The tour lasted around 90 minutes and Tom shared historical and colourful tales of facts & myths from Durhams past. Tom is a great guide - he is knowledgeable, articulate, funny and entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it.

Tom was brilliant, entertaining, enthusiastic and had a great deal of interesting Durham insights to share with us. The tour was just the right length and showed us areas we definitely would have missed if we hadn’t had booked on.

It’s nice to meet someone that is genuinely passionate around what they do and is a highlight of our time in the city.

On our first trip to Durham we booked this tour to see the city in less than one day. It was a dull and occasionally wet day but we were lucky because there was just the two of us on the tour with Tom our guide who was very knowledgeable and made the tour both informative and entertaining. Great way to see the city and the sun came out over the cathedral complete with a rainbow towards the end - highly recommended!

Tom was a very good guide, he obviously knows his stuff and is enthusiastic about it.
it was almost like he was on the stage, and it was a good performance.
I would definately recommend to anyone, I'm sure residents of Durham would even learn something and enjoy it.

Had an amazing hour and a half walk round Durham with Tom. Very entertaining guy, telling tales of notorious folk and showing us parts of Durham we would never have found on our own. Brilliant time. If you're going to be in Durham at all, do book a tour with him, it's well worth it.

We had never been to Durham and this was a very useful orientation. Tom entertained us with tales of Durham’s past whilst guiding us around on paths we wouldn’t have found. A very enjoyable morning and a good recommendation for lunch.

Really fun ~2 hours walking around Durham. Our Tour Guide was very knowledgeable and presented the information in a really engaging way. I would highly recommend this if you have a few hours to spare in Durham. Kudos to our tour guide (Tom? I think) who was knowledgeable and genuinely seemed excited about the city he lived in.

What a lovely experience! Tom was very knowledgeable about Durham and told a variety of tales that kept me interested for the whole walk. I loved the interactive way he asked me questions, without feeling under any pressure. The scenery was stunning - autumn is definitely a great time to visit.
