About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- sanneshine0 contributionsPaid already but now rejecting emails and ignoring website contact!I transferred money to pay for a day tour around Pembrokeshire from Tenby. There was great communication initially in September 2023. Then my money left my bank….and now nothing. My tour is this summer and I have tried to email and reply to the email- which is now no longer deliverable. I have tried to use their own website… and still nothing. This company has stolen my money. I’ve been trying to contact them for 4 months now. My trip is not for another 2 months but I have no hope this company will come through or refund me.Written 29 April 2024
- dgurion0 contributionsDisappointedWe very much wanted to go on this tour today, our 51st wedding anniversary. We booked ahead for a private tour and were confirmed to go. The afternoon before, the trip was cancelled with no explanation or apology. At this point in life, we may not be able to return to Wales again. We are very disappointed. I would not recommend this company due to poor communication.Written 20 August 2022
- maurices1070 contributionsInformativeTook the 5hour tour with Joe, brilliant for discovering hidden gems. Discover the deserted beaches not on internet and take in all the scenery. We saw seal pups on the beach as September is the month to see this. Highly recommend!Written 17 September 2020
- pauldF2316LW0 contributionsTour with JoeOur tour on the 18th of August with Joe was excellent. We visited many places that were 'off the beaten track'. Fantastic views with great commentary that was engaging yet not over the top, as some guides can be. At no time did we feel rushed or under pressure to 'get a move on!' Joe even helped out with a major traffic holdup and he was so helpful and knowledgeable and well mannered. His vehicle was well presented and Covid-19 friendly. The home made Bara Brith was very welcome, and tasty! We wish Joe every success with his enterprising business. Paul & Kath.Written 21 August 2020
- Darlene B0 contributionsGreat tour!Pembrokeshire has to be one of the most beautiful places in the world. Our private tour with Pembrokeshire Safari Tours gave us a magnificent overview of this incredible region. We saw world class beaches, magnificent coastal views, wildlife, sights of interest including Manorbier Beach/Castle, St Govan’s Chapel, Green Bridge of Wales, and much more! It was superb! Thank you, Joe, for a great day and the delicious Welsh cakes to snack on along the way.Written 12 October 2019
- Nick T0 contributionsA fantastic, informative experienceWe had a lovely time on a private tour for a family of four. Joe was really clear and helpful when we booked. He picked us up from our hotel and gave us a wonderful guided tour along the coast. We stopped at various locations to explore some areas on foot, and one point he produced some wonderful home-made caked as well. I had no idea that the tour would take over 5 hours, it seemed a lot of tour for the money. It was a real treat to be shown round by a nice young man who had grown up in the area and was full of useful suggestions for our holiday.Written 3 September 2019
- Ellie123900 contributionsA Fantastic Way to View Beautiful Pembrokeshire! What a brilliant way to explore Pembrokeshire. The Classic Tour was a great way to show my visiting relatives the natural beauty of the county. Joe was full of knowledge and we discovered things I didn't even know existed! Thank you again Joe. I would highly recommend this tour for visitors and locals alike.Written 21 August 2019
- Tenbytravellers0 contributionsGreat day out!Despite already living in Pembrokeshire we had a great day out with Joe on his tour back in May. It was a great way to show visitors we had staying our amazing home county. His local knowledge is second to none and it was great to learn more about the place we live! Saw some amazing beaches and stunning views. Thanks Joe, would be interested in taking the North Pembs tour next time - will be in touch!Written 20 August 2019
- Nomad B0 contributionsWhat a trip!Took the staff down for a team building day out, can't recommend these guys enough! From the moment we met our driver Joe there were positive vibes, Joe ensured that we saw every inch of the Pembrokeshire coast that was worth seeing and kept the enjoyment maxed throughout, we even got a glimpse of the bottle nosed dolphins off of Barafundle bay! The weather wasn't on our side the day that we went out, though it was more than made up for by the hospitality. A must for anyone visiting the area, a bonus for us is that we got to pick Joe's brains on the best places to eat, drink and see in West Wales! Awesome value for money and service.Written 5 August 2019
- KSP080 contributionsClassic TourFantastic tour yesterday. A great day enjoyed by 3 generations of family. Joe was a steady driver and a really pleasant guide. And the Bara Brith baked by his mum was delicious! A good way to see this beautiful area and am planning to use the company again next year for a bespoke trip. No doubt visiting Harry Potter filming locations as the children absolutely loved that part.Written 2 August 2019

- lorrainehine0 contributionsFabulous excursionHusband and I were picked up from our B&B by Joe. What a lovely, knowledgeable chap.We enjoyed a wonderful day seeing breathtaking views which you probably wouldnt want to drive to yourself due to the extremely narrow roads. Joes mum made the Welsh cakes which were gorgeous. We both enjoyed the lovely day and stunning scenery. Thank you!Written 27 June 2019
- leasheavill0 contributionsGreat Day Out, even in NovemberHubby, two very good friends and I took the trip and had a great time, even in November. Saw so many lovely sights and Joe was full of information. Be sure to take him up on his offer of a Welsh cake, freshly made by his mum, and are amazing. Would highly recommend it.Written 10 November 2018
- Ruth L0 contributionsFantastic Day excursionSaw a leaflet Pembrokeshire Safari Tours in the hotel we are staying in so gave them a call. We were lucky enough to get on the trip the following day. Excellent day. Highly recommend the classic safari. Very interesting and informative. Would certainly do another safari if we come back to Tenby. Brilliant value for money.Written 24 October 2018
- happy1503610 contributionsA superb day outWe spent just over 5 hours with Joe, our lovely chauffeur for the day in his landrover. My husband and I had a fabulous day discovering the hidden gems of the South Pembrokeshire coast. My husband was able to take lots of beautiful photos and stop off at a cafe in Angle. Was able to sample some Bara Brith which was homemade, courtesy of Joe's Mum. Joe is a perfect host and great company, knowledgeable, couldn't have had a nicer guide. Even stopped off at a farm shop on the way back for us. Excellent value for money.Written 13 September 2018

A brilliant tour which takes you off the main roads to find the real hidden gems of the Pembrokeshire Coast. Some glorious coves and beaches you would probably never see unless you knew where you are going, and Joe tells you all you need to know about where you are. Lunch stop at a cafe by the beach at Angle which had fantastic views of the beach and bay. Joe even supplied some Welsh cakes for the journey! Well worth the money.

Our guide Tom was delightful, enthusiastic, polite and concerned about our comfort and safety. We’d booked and were charged for a private tour, but agreed to share it with others when requested to do so. The reason we booked a private tour is because it’s impossible to see all that’s promised in 5 hrs. We enjoyed the many beautiful beaches, but had most looked forward to getting photos of the 3 castles mentioned in the trip information. We stopped for a photo at Pembroke Castle, but only got a photo of the top of Manobier Castle through the car window. We missed beautiful Carew Castle and tidal mill completely because we ran an hour behind schedule already, from seeing the many beaches. Others mentioned snacks and water in their reviews which were not offered in ours. I’m not sorry we went on this tour, but was left disappointed. I guess we were fortunate to go however, because the tour we’d been confirmed on the next day was cancelled with no explanation or apology. As I stated earlier, our guide Tom was great, but the management leaves room for improvement.

Our favourite of the few days we spent in Pembrokeshire was partly down to Joe and his impressive tour. Really nice guy. Had lots to show us and explained everything so well. If you are going to visit Pembrokeshire (Tenby) I would 100% recommend the tour. I would also say best to do it at the beginning of your stay. This could help you decide what to do in the following days.

Joe took our family on a fantastic tour around the Pembrokeshire coast line. He has great knowledge of the area and we now know where we will be going for the rest of the week. It was a lovely chilled affair and the kids were dead chuffed with their badges. I'd highly recommend Joe to anyone who wants to know a bit more about the area via a nice relaxed tour.

Tom really did a number on us. We called before booking online to see if its all good and available. During the phone call he told us about our tour and how it should go etc.
So far so good. But, we didn't quite catch what the meeting point was so we tried calling. Didn't pick-up. So we tried 7 times in total to call him, both on the same day and the day we were supposed to be given the tour (we booked in day in advance).
He didn't answer our calls once.
So, we assumed it was the Cawen castle since that sounded like the place he told us to meet. Which was a 1,5 hour drive from our holiday cottage. Before leaving and during the drive we tried calling Tom several times. No succes.
10 minutes before we arrived he finally responded on our texts (we had sent several by then)!
"the touring car isn't available, so unfortunately I have to cancel the tour' Furiously we drove all the way back home again, seriously what an awful experience, totally not what the rest of Whales shows in contrast to what kind of aditude Tom showed us.

We really enjoyed our tour with Joe yesterday. It was door to door service with water and delicious home-made cake on offer. Joe is an excellent guide who is passionate about his birthplace and whose tour covers a variety of beaches, tucked away coves and castles. He gives enough information to keep the tour interesting and varied with plenty of stops for short walks and photos.
Thanks Joe!

Had a great day exploring the coastline with Joe in his Land Rover Defender. Never been to the area before and saw this as a great opportuntity to see the highlights and get ideas of where we might return to spend more time. Our host Joe was friendly and informative and we did return to one of the great beaches the following day. Got some beautiful photos and a car parking space all day in Tenby allowed us to explore there the rest of the afternoon/ early evening too after the tour.

If you’re visiting South Pembrokeshire, then this little gem is a must. 5 hours of wonderful scenery and exquisite beach’s and views we would never have found on our own. Joe, the owner and tour guide for the day is amazing and due to living in the area all his life knows the sights and history inside out. The homemade bara brith was amazing. This really made our holiday for us. 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Joe

Unfortunately I tried to book this 4 x 4 Tour as part of my Husbands 70th birthday celebrations, we are due to be visiting the area so I thought this would be ideal for him. Booking was completed but the next day I received an email to say my booking had been rejected by the Tour Operator but not giving me another details or reason for the rejection. Out of principle I would not use this firm of booking a tour. Very disappointed.

I can't comment on the trip itself unfortunately as the booking was cancelled a few days later without any word or notification. I just happened to be double checking everything was in order, otherwise my partner and I would have arrived on a very special day and been very disappointed.
Check and recheck the booking I would say just in case.
