Begin your tour with a 9am pickup (alternative pickup times can be arranged on request) from your central Medellín hotel and head to the first stop of the day – Pueblito Paisa. Follow your guide on a tour of the village, a recreation of a traditional Antioquia town located atop Cerro Nutibara hill, and gain a fascinating insight into Colombian culture.
After enjoying views across the Medellin valley, visit two of the city’s most picturesque attractions, the Barefoot Park (Parque de los Pies Descalzos) and the Park of Lights (Parque de la Luz). Continue on a walking tour of the city center, strolling around Botero Plaza, and admiring the striking sculptures, the work of Colombian artist Fernando Botero.
Pause to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (included) and sample a variety of delicious Colombian specialties. After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring Medellin’s atmospheric neighborhoods including Laureles and Estadio. Finally, ride the San Javier cable car through the hillside slums and pay a visit to Comuna 13, once notorious as one of Colombia’s most dangerous slums. While you’re there, learn more about the changes that are taking place including urban renewal projects and peaceful street art protests.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 5pm.
