A wonderful experience
I very much recommend this tour. Our guide Ilyas was prompt, courteous, intelligent, and kind. He was a great conversationalist and imparted a lot of history and context of Oman throughout the day. On site at the wadi, he was with us every step of the way. He helped us and others navigate the terrain in and out of the water to ensure our safety.

The only two downsides were not getting to the sinkhole early enough for good foto lighting - you need to really push through the time at the wadi and lunch to make it to the sinkhole early enough. And lunch, although tasty, was a little heavy on rice and overcooked fish dishes (says the foodie).

Tip- be sure to ask for bottles of water when you make stops.

The perfect way to see the best of Oman. Truly memorable!
Feb 2020
Our fablulous guide, Aziz, was the perfect host. He was courteous, informative and couldn't have been more helpful. He took us to Wadi Shab early so we were able to enjoy the experience almost alone! It was amazing and the water was so pure and clean and a delight to swim up to the waterfall. Definitely take river shoes - my husband didn't and Aziz was so mortified that he was planning to swim in his leather deck shoes that he took off his own and leant them to my husband to swim in! Bimmah Sinkhole was interesting and we also had a very good lunch and a fascinating trip around Muscat. Aziz speaks good English and we felt we had learnt a great deal about Muscat and the Omani way of life from him. Thoroughly recommended.

Awesome but go early
Feb 2020 • Friends
Definitely recommend but go early to avoid the crowds and go prepared eg appropriate footwear- trainers and river shoes, and take as few valuables as possible - you will need 100% waterproof bag/casing otherwise as you have to swim in deep water and there’s nowhere to leave anything.

It’s totally worth it!

The highlight of the whole stay in Muscat
The best trip ever
Our guide ilya was an amazing guide very polite and entertaining helpful he supported us throughout the trip.
We started our hour drive to wadi shab around 9 am then a mini boat ride to the other side where the hike started
A scenic hike with a moderate trail that ended with a beautiful oasis .
Swimming in the oasis was another beautiful experience thankfully we had ilya with us throughout to guide us and give us tips with his help we entered the cave and enjoyed the whole hike .
Finished the hike and swim around 3 had lunch at a local restaurant and from there we went to the sinkhole which was a nice park with the possibility to take a dip in the water .
The trip home was smooth and fast .
Tips
Bring water shoes
Swimming clothes and towels
Snacks
Thanks again to ilya who made the trip more enjoyable

A Magical Day
Feb 2020
Hands down, this was our most favorite thing we did in Oman. First things first...our guide was Yusef and he was amazing. We liked him right away and enjoyed spending the day with him. He was funny and very open to share things about Omani life and culture. The hike up to the pools is not easy and my knees are really bad and had a hard time. Yusef was by my side helping the entire way and was very kind. The hike itself is beautiful and by nature of the difficulty in getting to them, the pools are not overcrowded. They are cool and clean and is just an amazing spot to be on the planet earth. We are so glad we went and feel fortunate we picked this company that has the wisdom to hire a guide like Yusef.

We are so happy we took a privet trip. Its a two hour drive from Muscat, so enjoying the trip by someone driving you is better, especially after all this walking and swimming you do. The weather was nice (+24), the water in Wadi is more than comfortable to swim. Big thanks for Oman Guide team, the organisation is welldone. Pick up was on time, the cars are new, driving is safe, the guide was really nice and helpful all the way. The route is complicated sometimes, so having a guide showing the way is handy. We glad we went.

Amazing time with Juma
We truly enjoyed spending the day with Juma exploring the Wadi and the sinkhole. Juma is a great guide and host and we appreciated his company and passion about his homeland.
After 1.5 hrs ride we arrived to the the Wadi where Juma walked together with up to the pools where we had a refreshing and unforgettable swim! After the Wadi we went visiting the Bimmah sinkhole, about 20 minutes on the way back, where we could also swim and have some fun jumping from the cliffs. We than drove back to Muskat where we had a delicious dinner at a typical restaurant.
We had an amazing day and can only suggest to book this tour!

Amazing
Aug 2019
We had some stops along the way to and from wadi shab. First was the sinkhole. It is beautiful. The color of the water is a greenish blue. We didn’t swim as the water does not flow. Then we stopped at white beach to have a look around. It looks like a very nice swim/snorkel area. Wadi shab is fabulous. I’m guessing the walk is about 1.5 - 2 miles from shore to pool. Take frozen water if you go in August! Trust me. The cave was a close swim through the limestone. Waterfall was flowing nicely. If you are not a strong swimmer, take a life vest. There are very few shallow spots on the way and once you are at the cave, there are none. You can hold on to the rock formations, but it is very deep. Wear good gripping swim shoes as the rocks along the shab are covered in slick moss. We had a nice sack lunch provided for us in Tiwi. It is a beautiful town with many palm trees and extremely winding roads that can be steep. Great trip!

My friend and I had this tour yesterday. Faisal was our guide and was absolutely amazing. He was so attentive, helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit. It is definitively worth the money to go on a private tour.

10 out of 10 services - Highly recommend
This is probably two of the best tours I have joined (another one was in Dubai Desert Safari). I got some visa questions before arrival and they are very responsive even if it has nothing to do with the trip.

The trip was re-confirmed days before. My tour guide arrived at hotel right on time. He gave me a run-down of the trip and reminded me to bring swimming wear. He is very patient, knowledgeable and considerable. On the way to Wadi Shan, he shared lots of his knowledge about the country.

For lunch, he bought my mom and myself to a local restaurant which is simple but nice (my mom doesn’t like eating rice but she are a lot).

The whole trip was very smooth and it’s kind of beyond my expectations. We had a very good time!

Highly highly highly recommend if you’d like a different experiences in Oman (with amazing landscape)
