On February 27, I took part in a truly special cooking class dedicated to making fresh pasta, specifically orecchiette and maccheroni. The experience was unforgettable, not only because of the quality of the lesson but also due to the intimate and friendly atmosphere that defined the entire day. With only four of us in the class, the interaction among guests was spontaneous and enjoyable—an aspect that definitely contributed to the success of the experience. Our guide, Lisa, showed incredible patience in guiding us through each step and answering all our questions with care. With her reassuring and knowledgeable approach, she made every stage of the pasta-making process clear and engaging. To complete the experience, Fabio shared his deep passion for Salento wines with us, leading a tasting of local labels that paired perfectly with the dishes we had prepared. This cooking class was not just an opportunity to learn how to make fresh pasta but also a chance to gain a deeper understanding of Salento’s culinary culture and traditions. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover the secrets of Salentine cuisine in an authentic and immersive way.

We appreciated being welcomed into Pierangela’s house, taught how to prepare recipes handed down thru her family and dining with her friends and daughter. Can’t wait to smash out a delicious tiramisu on our return home.

Lucia was so lovely - welcoming us into her home for a night of pasta making and cocktails and a ton of laughs. The entire evening was simple and authentic and personal. The cooking class with Pierangela was a wonderful experience. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised that we were the only people in the class. Pierangela taught us first how to make a delicious tiramisu then both orecchiette and cavatelli. All were done from scratch. Once the food was cooked we sat down to a scrumptious dinner with her husband and 2 year old daughter. She cooked some additional goodies to go along with what we prepared together. This was one of the most memorable things we did on our 9 day visit around Puglia. By the time we finished 3 hours later we felt like family with her little one calling my wife Santina NONA. We have already made the tiramisu twice since arriving home 3 weeks ago and it it was great - she taught us well. If you visit Lecce this cooking class with Pierangela is a MUST DO experience!!!

This was a very wonderful and special day hosted by Pierangela and her husband! We learned a lot about the local market and cousins. We had many appetizers, homemade the local pasta and lamb meatball, and dessert. It was all delicious and wonderful to learn more about the culture in the area! This is a must if visiting the area!

We had a wonderful time during our pasta and tiramisu class in Lecce! We learned how to create two local pasta dishes, and our lovely chef used the pasta we made to cook two delicious family recipes. Our host/Cesarina was kind and patient as we learned to make cavatelli and orecchiette. She also prepared 3 delightful appetizers for us to taste while we waited for the pasta dishes to be cooked and assembled. Highly recommend.

As part of our trip to Puglia we really wanted to have a true Italian cooking experience. Carlo and Josee were the perfect hosts and teachers, making our pasta and tiramisu cooking experience fun, enjoyable and educational! Highly recommend if you want a true Puglia cooking experience!

This was such an absolutely wonderful experience to share with my family. The hostesses were remarkable and so warm and inviting. We enjoyed so much learning the recipes from their family traditions. The meal was a complete success, even though we had to remake the egg white cream for the tiramisu because my sons didn’t know how to separate eggs. Teenagers, ages 19, 17 and 15 expressed how much they loved going and how it was one of their favorite things to do. We far too much because it was so delicious and I highly encourage this memorable experience in a very quaint setting of the chefs home.

A more than a five star rating cooking class! We had a lovely time with Carlo and Giusy who made us feel right at home. In their beautiful characteristic summer house, we made various kinds of pasta and Giusy’s own tiramisu (including chef's three secrets). Carlo also made a delicious dish of eggplant, tomato, smoked cheese, and Parmesan cheese, baked in the oven. We enjoyed all this delicious food in their lovely courtyard garden. We savored the great company and the wonderful food. Highly recommended. Grazie mille Carlo e Giusy!

The cooking class was absolutely amazing, it was - without a doubt - a highlight of our whole trip! Matilde and Carlo are fantastic hosts who made us feel at home. We enjoyed every second of the experience, we learned a lot and the pasta that we’ve made was the best one we had during our holidays in Puglia. I highly recommend that experience to everyone!

We loved this experience! Matilde and Carlo were gracious hosts in their beautiful home, and we had a lovely evening. Matilde is a skilled cook and a wonderful teacher, so we got the hang of making the pasta quickly. She then cooked our pasta as part of a beautiful dinner using products from her garden and together with wine and other accompaniments we enjoyed an altogether spectacular meal. Highly recommend - you won’t be disappointed!

What a beautiful experience. We figured out the address wasn't in the heart of Lecce but just outside at Via Costantino Girardengo 3, Lecce, 73100, Lecce, Puglia, Italia. Or also known as Un Bel Casino. We felt like family! We laughed and ate together. The lessons we learned will last us a lifetime. I'm so excited to get to make the pasta back home in Canada for friends and family! Very beautiful property and family. Well worth it and highly recommended ❤️
