Being our first flight, we were slightly concerned on what to expect. Could not have been more lucky to have Ricardo, his wife and crew to ensure that we have an unforgettable experience. The afternoon was beautiful and after some test balloons being sent up to see the strength of the wind current - it was decided that it would be safe and that the flight would take place. It was an peaceful experience - rising and having a 360 degree view of the countryside, small towns and farms and floating above the rice fields outside Milan. The direction is determined by the current of the wind and it is always unknown where the final landing place will be. I did not want to stop. The flight lasted a little over an hour. This is an experience that everybody should do and I highly recommend Mongolfiere. Lots of effort went in making sure that the landing was at the right stop and as smooth as possibly. We landed in a field that had been harvested. It was great seeing the farms with cows, horses, pigs and dogs. The flame mechanism can be load, but extra car is given when livestock is present and a quieter option is used. The cold cuts, cheese and white wine at the end after landing and watching the sunset adds the icing on the cake, closing a beautiful afternoon and experience.

Booked via a third party, for a specific date while staying in Lucca. As promised we were contacted the night before and it was confirmed that the flight would happen. We had to book a taxi from Lucca to Altopascio at 5am which cost about €50. The team arrived as promised at the meet point and we drove for about 20 mins to the launch site. There were 3 other Italian passengers and the pilot Max. Watching the whole process was great and before we knew it we were up in the air at 350m. There is no set time in the air due to wind speed so it can vary, think we were 30-40 mins. Landing was interesting and everyone got involved. As the equipment was being packed up there was a light breakfast, bread, cheese, Salami and Prosecco prepared for us. The majority of talk was in Italian but Max made sure we knew what was happening. Met a lovely couple from Lucca who had been waiting for 3 months to fly, so we were very lucky. From our experience I would recommend this company. But flights are not guaranteed along with flight time.

My husband and I used a groupon for a flight in Milan area and we truly enjoyed it. We chose an evening flight and even though it was a little hazy that day the views were beautiful. The team was great, knowledgeable and helpful. They really tried to make the whole experience special for every one of us. An after-flight wine tasting with cheese and salami was a great way to finish that fun day.
