I am giving one star but if I could I would give 0. Being in Tropea, the tour to the Aeolian Islands is often offered and it sounds good in theory, but this was by far our worst vacation experience, some reasons: 1) the boat is old fashion, uncomfortable (especially if you have a 12h tour) and it does not have any real inner part, meaning everything is open either by windows or on the open, so that often people struggle with the heat and humidity. 2) when they say a guide is included, they don't mean the usual nice guide that goes with you on the islands and tells you interesting stuff. They mean that ONLY while in the boat and for a lot of hours, a woman is speaking incredibly loud and telling a lot of useless stuff (just in italian for the 99% of the time). Everybody we talked to in the boat were having headaches from this woman. People wanted to read or sleep during the longest trips and it was impossible because of her, she was essentially doing a monologue and nobody was listening. 3) the heat is terrible in the islands, and the humidity worse, and you won't find a single bar with air conditioning in most islands... They left us in Panarea for over 2h although there is literally nothing to do, we were just sitting somewhere at some point, suffering the heat and waiting for them to come back. In Lipari which has more things to see, they only gave us 1h and we had to have lunch in that hour so...we saw nothing. In Stromboli also little to see and the vulcano was not worth seeing if it means spending 12h of suffering. 4) everyone was pretty much destroyed by the time we drove back and the personnel was smoking and the smoke was going all around the deck, so one more thing you don't need when you are so tired. 5) the experience I can only compare to ryanair, as also they try to sell you something else during a good part of the trip. Clearly not a comfortable experience. Seriously you should better spend the day at Scilla, Messina or some nice beaches around Palmi.

Trip cancelled without prior notice!! People from other companies had to tell us that the trip was cancelled when we arrived to Porto di Tropea. We tried to call and text the company without success. 30mins after trip's supposed start we recieved a message if we could do it another day. What a waste of our time. At least we got a refund right away. Do not recommend.

My fiançée and I went to the "Lipari, Panarea & Stromboli by night" excursion from Tropea. We had a great time on the islands but the boat trip was a bit chaotic. You should consider it more as a public transport than an excursion. There are 3 floors and you do need to fight to get the best seats. I would recommend the top floor if you don't want to hear the Italian explanations at full blast, even though it's very windy. You get 2h on each island. Lipari feels like a beautiful small city, you should check out the Parco Archeologico near Basilica di San Bartolomeo for the best views. Panarea is more of a jetset/vip island, there's not much to do except hiking to a scenic view (Via Iditella Farici 13). Stromboli is very impressive with its black sand beaches, definitely feels surreal when you go for a swim. The Sciara di Fuoco (lava eruptions) were magnificent, truly the highlight of this trip. We would have given more stars if the boat trips were better organized (reserved seats, more time on the islands, multilingual audioguide). If you want some advice, always go for the left side/top floor and don't forget your sweater !

shipping company to be avoided absolutely. they change the tour without warning and are rude, too bad for Calabria, which I consider one of the most beautiful places in the world

I have expected group of 15 people how is described in the offer but It is huge ship(crowded). You find this info in the additional information that it is group of 350 people. Also i booked this trip because of english but reality is nobody on the boat speak english so you wont understand anything if you dont speak Italian. Be aware of that! Lipary are beautiful and 5stars. Panarea is boring and waste of the time so 1star. Stromboli is perfect but you will get only 90 minutes there instead of 180 (in the itinerary). You will see Stromboli from the boat on the end and it is perfect. My recommendation is find the another way how to get to Lipary and Stromboli, skip Panarea and you will enjoy it.

Trip was canceled, but they redrew the money anyway. The hotel helped us contact them and asked for a refund. Some days later after we returned back home, we got a refund via paypal, but not the full amount. When trying to contact them via email and the contact formular, we heard nothing.
