    Gallerie Degli Uffizi
Stop: 3 hours - Admission included
The Uffizi Palace was commissioned by Cosimo I de' Medici and designed by Vasari (16th Century). It has a unusual U shape, which is closed towards the Arno. The two wings of the palace are connected by a corridor with six big arched windows, facing the Arno and the inner courtyard. Nowadays the building hosts the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most visited museums in the world, collecting masterpieces from the 13th to the 18th Century. The very beginning of the Uffizi Gallery was the collection of Francesco I de' Medici; The collection became “public and inalienable good” thanks to Duchess Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici whose will it was that it would be open to the public forever. Today, the Uffizi Gallery is one of the most important museums in the world, with new acquisitions and gifts. Using the elevator at the entrance of the museum is reserved for people who have special needs – including temporary – and the maximum capacity is 6 persons at a time.

Twice in one week Uffizi Gallery
Jul 2019
First visit was a walking tour with skipping the lines, it was very good for first impression. The Gallery is huge and has so much to see, in 1.5 hours you can only see so much and run into so many tourists, it was exhausting. Skipping lines, means you might have a line with other walking groups , but you will not stand for ever waiting to get in. its best to pay extra and escape from the heat. Few days later I took a private tour for more then 3 hours. The Uffizi is one of the best Museums I have seen with so much art to explore, so much history it is an amazing experience to any Art lover who would enjoy see so much on one place. You should know that "Modern Art" in Italy considered to be the 18th-19th Century, most Tourist think that it is about the 20th Century , it is not, this is also true for any other museums, go see also the "Modern Art". The Uffizi is a Fantastic experience and make sure to see also first floor with the History of the Jewish Art.

Uffizi was fantastic, but we paid for these tickets which we did not really need to. Pre-Booking directly with the gallery would have been much cheaper and equally could have saved us the entry queue, which wasn’t very long. We also had no access to special exhibits. All in all, it wasn’t worth paying double the price of entrance. I would give this tour a miss.

Not sure what they mean by Skip-the-Line because we had to wait in line for about 1/2 hour to 40 minutes even though we had Skip-the-Line tickets. The line moved but there was a long line. I was impressed with the Gallery. The art work was beautiful and there was no time limit for viewing the art.

Awesome museum, but awful tour company “Weekend”
Purchase these tickets well in advance which is double the regular entrance fee. I did not want to miss opportunity to go. Once I purchases I was message by tour operator that they would give me a time slot closer to day of visit. This not mentioned in description. Makes it hard to plan anything else. 5 days in Florence I was trying to see as much as I could. About 5 days prior to my day of visit. They cancelled me saying museum was overbooked. Well, let just say I was really really disappointed. When we got to Florence We went anyways to see if we could get in on same day I requested. We got in, waited about 10mins and paid 12 euro per ticket. Maybe just luck, but won’t be using this ticket “Weekend” again!

Great Museum Lousy Tour
Oct 2019
We booked a 2:30 tour with Headout Tours and arrived 20 minutes early as directed. No one from the tour company was there until 2:30. We were told someone was running late and we would have to wait 15 minutes. We were planning on meeting friends at 5 so it was cutting this close. At 2:50 a family showed up for the 3pm tour. Haha!! They decided to combine the tours because the 3pm was under booked. Not fir ti the rest of us waiting. The tour itself was lackluster. After 45 minutes we gave back our headphones and visited this incredible museum on our own. The Uffizi 5 stars!! Headout Tours 1 star (only because zero is not an option)

Weekend in Italy did not send me my ticket/vouchers. I had to pay for separate tickets. A waste of money. I'd like a refund.

Dissatisfied with your company

Not appropriate for kids under 5. I was very unhappy with service of the skip the line company. Their no refund policy is completely unfair since travel plans change and flights are late etc.

Precooked through TripAdvisor but flight cancelled due to Italian air traffic control strikes. Tried to amend date to new times but advised on booking that dates can’t be changed and I’ve lost my money for 3 bookings £142.
