Great locals guide and valuable insights for Veliko Tarnovo
I brought my business partners to this tour and they really loved it. Great and knowledgeable local guide, lots of valuable information and secrets. Recommend to everyone in the area. We booked the privately-guided option.

      Worth the climb
Part of an excursion while sailing on the Danube. It was a scorching hot day 41° so the climb was arduous, our guide was very good pointing out all the interesting sites. The castle at the top was a sight to behold, with the inside walls covered with murals depicting the communist era. Well worth a visit if you are in this part of the world.

When visiting Tsarevets use this e-guide
We are happy that we chose this product among others. Super insightful guides notes as if you have a real, physical guide with you. Very happy with this and it's so cheap.

      Don’t waste your money
Disappointing. The information provided was like it was copied out of book. More historical information than a walking guide to the fortress. I found the signage on the grounds and audio from speakers more helpful than this guide.

Best attraction in Veliko Tarnovo, lots of history in one place!
I visited the fortress after a few days in Veliko Tarnovo, and it is one of the most interesting historical sites I have visited in Bulgaria, it was the main fortress and stronghold during the second Bulgarian Empire, the paintings inside the main church are quite interesting, also there is a light and sound show which is sporadically organized and if you happen to be in Veliko you definitely must watch it, very very cool! This is one attraction you cannot miss if you visit Veliko Tarnovo!

Large fort, lots of great history. Must see
There was lots of road construction at the entrance, so we needed to walk quite a way to visit the fort. I’m so glad we did. The grounds were full of historical and ancient ruins, there is so much to see. The grounds were well maintained. It was not crowded at all the day we visited. There are bathrooms on site free of charge. The paths are cobblestone so I am not sure how strollers or wheelchairs would roll comfortably. Be sure to walk to the far left corner of the fort to see where the executions were conducted. Very interesting story but I won’t ruin it for you.

Not easy to find but it is general in Bulgaria, here in this region plethora of monasteries, and this one is perfect for the visit, its site and environment. At the end of the road there is parking and there is a charge! otherwise free visit and here you have a superb view, it is nestled under cliffs and it is a most beautiful effect. Peace and quiet and silence, a real treat after the memory of Rila and her crowd. It is small in size but very interesting and richly decorated inside.
