        Connemara Highlights and Ireland Explained
Neal guided 2 of us on a private tour of Connemara from Clifden, hiking a mountain and all the way to Westport and back. Neal was great though out explaining the countryside, the country and at our request details of Irish history. We highly recommend Neal!

        PROFESSIONALISM IN BELMULLET
This is weirdly a tour on which I did not go, but I want to praise the leader. We booked for the tour, but there was a glitch with the web site. Neil could not do it. I want to praise his professionalism. He found time to meet us and have a brief chat with us. He gave us a complimentary copy of his excellent book on the area. We did do parts of his tour, but it would have been so much better with him.

        Lovely Experience
What a lovely experience, Joe and I loved seeing this town with Neil. His knowledge and kind manner helped us to understand the history of this town, It is the town of origin for Joe's grandfather and we now think we understand the place bit better. Belmullet is a very special place. Hats off to the town for keeping it up so well and to Neil for showcasing it so nicely (even on a gray day)!

        Walking tour of Belmulltet
I loved this walk around Belmullet. While I have been there many times I saw things on this walk that I never saw before, e.g. plaques in gaelic telling the prophecies of Brian Rua Carabine. Neal was a very informative and entertaining guide and we loved his poem. Highly enjoyable tour

Outstanding Experience with a Wonderful Guide
We spent almost a full day with Neal and cannot recommend him highly enough. He's charming, funny, intelligent and obviously loves this area. We wanted to learn everything we could about Belmullet after discovering we had family roots here, so we started with the town walking tour, which was very entertaining and comprehensive. We also hired Neal for a private Mullet Peninsula tour, and he showed us (and explained) all of the spectacular sights, as well as finding our family's original farm. Thanks again for everything, Neal!

        A 6 Star day out!!
Yesterday we had a brilliant & amazing tour, would give it 6 stars if we could! Neal is an outstanding host with a wealth of knowledge. We learnt more about Ireland in a few hours, than we have in a lifetime. Not only did Neal inform us on the history of the places we visited, but also covered Ireland as a whole. His wit & humour really made the day so enjoyable & really interesting. Not sure we believed all of his stories, which only added to the fun!! Couldn’t recommend highly enough - thanks so much Neal!

        Walking Tour Wonder!
My family comes from Belmullet and it was my first time there. Neal was able to teach me about my town that was engaging and fun! We saw major points—historical, architectural, cultural—that I did not know existed. His stories are amazing and bring the area to life. What a Guide! I Highly recommend!

        Find out more about Belmulett
I really enjoyed the walking tour with Neall yesterday. I felt very reconnected with the town of my birth and finding out about the stories of the different buildings and locations in the town. Neall added a brilliant performance of a Percy French poem. Would recommend this walking tour for sure. All the best Neall. John

        Belmullet Walking Tour with Neal
Just finished the Walking tour of Belmullet with Neal. It was fantastic...Neal has a wealth of information which he imparts in an easy going and very accessible manner. I got so much information that I am not sure I will remember everything! There is so many fascinating sites to see in the town and while you could read about all of it, Neal makes it come to life with his enthusiasm. Despite the rain, it was a wonderful tour and I am glad I didn't back out because of the inclement weather. A tour not to be missed, would highly recommend.

        Mighty Guided walk through Belmullet
Neal does an excellent informative chatty walk which he sprinkles with a lovely surprise along the way. Really enjoyed it and despite the threat of rain and me being the sole audience, Neal was more than happy to proceed. Very professional

I have done a few walks in Dublin but managed to squeeze one in just off Belmullet. I spent three days here and my walk with Neil and his group was 11/10. Windy though it was, his voice carried through the wind and brought you back to WW11 days. He had pictures which he held up against the backdrop of the very area of the tales he told. His knowledge also on the geographical landscape was more enlightening than my geography days in school. If you had a question, he took time to answer it. He respects the area and the knowledge he gives makes the wild hills of Erris more beautiful again. If your staying anywhere in an hour of belmullet, don’t miss this tour. Thank you Neil, I will be keeping an eye out for more tours you host. You have knowledge and the perfect voice to portray it! People if all ages would enjoy this. I hope to bring my daughter next time

Hi June, Many thanks for your feedback, your kind words and your five star review. Much appreciated. It was a pleasure to look after you yesterday on what was a windy day to say the least. The wind of course adds to the drama of the scenery creating waves on the rocks and adding to the beauty of the seascape. I loved your company yesterday and was very impressed with your energy in all of your endeavours. I hope you had a safe trip home to Dublin. I look forward to meeting your daughter and giving her a great tour of Erris Head. Take care. Neal

This part of Mayo is absolutely stunning. The cliffs, the sea views and the hills are spectacular. My wife and I have fallen in love with this unspoilt part of Ireland. We have a tent and by and large would consider ourselves to be quite self sufficient when on holiday, however Neal was able to add so much to our enjoyment of this wonderful place. His walk was perfectly paced for us and he punctuated our journey with stories and explanations that we would never have discovered for ourselves. He is very knowledgeable about the geography and history of this area and he has the ability to explain things in a very entertaining way without it feeling like a school lesson. We could have completed this way-marked loop walk alone, but if we had we would have missed so much. We would heartily recommend this guided tour. It is suitable for people of all ages who are of average fitness. Neal is a very courteous guide who has a great understanding of his subject as well as his audience.

Hi Harry and Kate, Thank you for taking the time to write this kind and extensive five star review. It's nice to hear that you have fallen in love with north-west Mayo and how much you enjoyed the Erris Head guided walk with me. It was my pleasure to look after you on the walk to delineate the landscape, show you the 'secret' sites and tell you the torrid tales of events that happened in the area. Hopefully we will meet again when you next visit the area. In the meantime, take care. Neal

The Erris Head Guided Loop Walk was fabulous! Even though it was a cloudy, rainy day, our trip was brightened by Neal and his fantastic guidance. We not only appreciated the beauty that is the Mayo coastline, Neal was able to share historical facts, stories, and charm that only he can. I Highly recommend!

Hi, Many thanks for your kind words on the Erris Head Guided Walk. As you have seen it is a spectacular walk with ever changing views as you make progress. While the views are a great attraction, it is the stories of the events, the understanding of the wildlife and the appreciation of how the headland has developed over hundreds of millions of years that make this walk extra special. Thank you for allowing me to help you get the best from your visit to Erris Head.

Erris Head is a gorgeous place to walk and soak in the beauty of Ireland. This was my first time visting Ireland and Neil made sure we saw every part of Erris Head explaining the rich history and culture. Neil is such an amazing person and we enjoyed the walk and talk exchanging culture ( I'm from Mumbai). Neil picked us up from our hotel which was a nice touch and much appreciated. He also gifted us his book on Belmullet. Would visit again for sure. highly recommend Alchemy tours.

This looked great, which led us to the NW corner of County Mayo. It ended up being the absolute highlight of our entire trip. Neal is so knowledgeable and passionate about this area and its history. We'd do this over the more publicized areas of W. Ireland any day and will probably go back and do it again. Don't miss it!

We lucked out on two counts -- we had a gorgeous day and a fantastic guide in Neal who shared with us his deep knowledge of the area and kept us entertained with his great stories and Irish wit. This walk along the cliffs is truly spectacular with breathtaking vistas far and wide. This tour is not to be missed. Without a doubt one of the best experiences we've had during our extended family trip to Ireland!
