Michael is a knowledgable and humorous guide and we are very happy we booked his tour. He also made special arrangements for us to visit the Queenstown experience on a day that they are usually closed.

Titanic trail.
The whole time during our tour, the guide Micheal made reference to his books constantly and where we can get information, he kept referencing his books and taking them out as if to show them off.

Myself and my partner thought the tour would be more focused on the titanic, rather then him talking about his books and himself and the odd fact. And when I went to take out my phone to look at the time during the tour, he stopped and turned to me and said “are you recording me?” And then continued with “I get that a lot, people love stealing my work and have in the past”

I felt quite thrown off by this as he confronted me infront of the group about simply taking my phone out of my pocket.

I for one was glad when the tour ended,

We are very sorry that you have such a poor recollection of the tour that receives such positive accolades from most participants. Michael Martin rarely if ever offers his books for sale unless people request them. He refers to one of his books once during the tour while speaking about the RMS Lusitania which is very appropriate to the narrative. There is never a 'constant' referral and he would never refer to plagiarism as 'stealing'.

A walk around Cobh
Sep 2021
Lovely way to start your day in Cobh. Edward our guide and companion was excellent and gave us a great insight into the history of Cobh. Even though we had spent time in Cobh before we learnt so much. Cobh is a lovely town and even nicer when you have a great guide to show you around. The tour lasted much longer than advertised a bonus on a lovely day.

Enjoyable and informative tour
Very enjoyable and informative tour with Michael, covering lots more than the Titanic. Scenic views and easy, central location.

It was THE BEST choice to book this in Cobh. We had our lovely dog with us and wanted to do something dog-friendly. Michael is not only very good but he is also part of the whole Cobh experience. He's been involved in its story. It is definitely highly recommended!!!

Titanic Walking Tour from The Expert!! 10/10
Aug 2020
We booked this tour through Trip Advisor. As we were the only people on the tour, Michael (Dr Michael Martin) was kind enough to give us nearly two hours of knowledge and enthusiasm regarding Cork Harbour history and authentic story of the Titanic. An expert in this area, the information was interesting and the time fly by. I look forward to reading his book and watching his video on Cobh Cathedral, which is on youtube. You will not be disappointed with his tour (only if you leave Cobh without doing it!) Couldn't recommend it more. Carol and Lawrence

Great tour on Aug 13th, very interesting insights and answers to many queries I had especially the difference between Annie Murphy statues in Cobh and Ellis Island, a mystery solved thanks to our tour guide Michael.

Thank you for your positive and kind words and delighted to have solved the mystery of Annie Moore. The artist and sculptor of both works, Jeananne Rynhart (RIP) told me of the significance of the differences between the two depictions a number of years ago. Thank you for taking the time to review our tour.

Excellent.. 10/10...Titanic Walking Tour, Cobh.
Aug 2020
We met in the Commodore Hotel on the seafront and straight away you could sense Michaels enthusiasm and why not. A 1 hour tour extended into two. With our guide only to delighted to impart his abundance of knowledge to us. Humour intrigue in buckets. Young or old. ....We will be back...
A 10/10 from us. Best part of our trip..
Paul and Lilian.

Thank you for taking the time to pen your very positive review. Cork Harbour and Cobh are often underestimated in the narrative of world events in the past that shaped our future.
