PADI courses can be taught using a manual and videos, or electronically via PADI's website with online e-learning or via an app.
Whichever route you choose, you will start with Open Water, a course taking 3 full days and culminating in the most widely recognised first level qualification. After that you can go straight on to Advanced Open Water which is comprised of 5 dives and can be done in 2 days or longer if you prefer. Rescue Diver then teaches you how to help others in difficulty and how to spot warning signs that trouble may be brewing. You will need a first aid qualification that includes CPR before you can be certified as a Rescue Diver. If you dont have this then the EFR course is required.
