Exellent trip. Very friendly people at Matarana and very good bikes. The roads were easy and the vieuws were beautiful.

It is a beautiful bike ride. The scenery is amazing and the service of Matarraña aventura even more. If you want to enjoy beautiful scenery in combination with beautiful places to take a swim and cross around 40 tunnels to experience complete darkness and cool off then you will love this tour. You will not regret it 😊

We were 14 Swedes visiting Beceite, Aragon and were fortunate to choose Matarrãna Aventura for arranging a bike tour on Via Verde. The friendly and very service minded guides picked us up at the hotel and drove us to their shop in Cretan. There they set us up with very good bikes, helmets, maps and spares. After a thorough check that everything worked ok and were tuned to the rider we were off. The tour we had chosen was 48km and was a smooth ride as almost the whole trip was downhill. Even our two youngest, 10 and 12 had no problem to enjoy the day. A fantastic tour! The nature is so beautiful, very scenic all the way and no cars as Via Verde is an old railroad track. When we arrived in Xerta we were picked up and driven to our hotel, the excellent Hotel Font del Pas. Everyone was super happy with the day and we can not recommend this trip enough. 5 strong stars! Both for the experience and the service. It is a “must” when you visit the area.

We were looked after with great care and attention. We were well briefed and every service was provided with thought and humour. We had a great time. Very highly recommended.

The Via Verde by bicycle from Cretas to Xerta is a must do. The route is very beautiful with very diverse landscapes (from cycling throughout the mountains to a more flat route near a river). And everybody can join, because it is downhill. You will pass beautiful lakes or pooles to swim in. Because the route used to be an old railway you will see old railway stations and, this was our highlight; you will cycle through old railway tunnels, this was very exciting. You can arrange an mountainbike with all the equipement needed via Matarrana Ventura and they will bring you back to Cretas (which is the start point). They are a very friendly and nice organisation. We will definitely come back some day!

We took our kids on this cycle ride (6 and 8 years old). The scenery was amazing and varied with fun swimming spots. The service was excellent with lots of care taken to maximise the enjoyment. 42km is a lot for our kids but it is a gentle downhill pretty much all the way - a great confidence boost for them to say that they cycled 42km. We rented four mountainbikes at Matarraña Aventura to make the 42 km trip on the Via Verde. The bikes were adjusted to the right size while we received the proper equipment( lock, light, helmets). Then we got an explanation what to expect on the Via Verde and some tips and tricks. Very relaxed atmosphere. The trip was fantastic! Nice views, refreshing swimming spots in the river and about half way a splendid renovated trainstation in which they opened a bar/restaurant with old bicyclewheels at the ceiling for the lighting. At the end of the trip we were picked up at exactly the agreed time. We definately want to come back some day!

We hired three very well maintained very well geared bike for a day cycling down the Via Verde from Cretas to Tortosa. I was initially apprehensive as it was much further than I had cycled before, but it genuinely is downhill all the way down the old railway track route (apart from a couple of very short detours from the original route which were easily copeable with) and I had no problems. The pickup from Tortosa and drive back worked well. Because we were late in the season, none of the marked restaurants were open for lunch, but we had taken snacks which probably worked better than a big lunch. The numerous tunnels added interest to a very beautiful scenic route - lights are needed. The section after Xerta is less beautiful, and there are a couple of detours where it is possible to get lost, but still worth doing if you have time. Thoroughly recommended.

perfect organisation, good bikes, great tour tipps and pick up service We did the tiur from Cretas to Prat del Compte which was perfect with a child. On the way we went swimming in a natural pool and we liked the bar in an old tram on our way Thank you very much

Wow. We rented bikes from Matarrana Aventura and rode the Cretas to Prat de Compte route -- two adults and two kids ages 12 and 15. It's a downhill route through the most beautiful countryside. Wear your swimsuit and take a dip in the river. Stop at Bot for a 2 Euro beer. Javier picked us up in the van, and what a wonderful young man with great English. He has built a terrific business! We were privileged to be just the second American family Javier had ever met. Thank you, Javier, for a wonderful day and a great bottle of wine :)

We repeated our ride from Cretas to Prat del Compte which has the advantage of being almost completely downhill. From there Javier picked us up and brought us back to Cretas where we had booked a delicious seafood paella at L'Era restaurant in Cretas. As others have said the scenery in this area is mind blowing. When we did this ride with other friends in late October, there was a fog which covered the valleys so the views were obscured. This time the sun shone brightly and sun cream had to be applied! On this occasion I could not complete the ride but I rang and I was picked up from a previous station and brought back to Cretas. This meant the rest of my party was running late but this was not a problem for Matarraña Aventura. The meal at L'Era is not offered with Mattaranya Aventura but it is simple to book. The staff speak English and the friendliness and helpfulness of the local people shines through. I would recommend this adventure very much.
