    spend an hour or two
Really good place to visit. Bit smaller than I expected and our kids probably a little bit too old for it age 12 and 15. We did the combination ticket to visit sea life the same day. Very easy to get parking and plenty of places around to eat. The 4D cinema was really good fun. The rides were also good and a lovely area for under 5 year olds.

    Good experience.
My kids really enjoy it and had so much fun, just one of the staff at big ride area talk rude to my husband. We were not happy about it but other than that it was nice visit.

    Over priced and Underwhelming
This is so over priced. It’s just a few Lego bricks, thrown into buckets in a dingy, dirty hole surrounded by Lego models. The ride lasts 5 minutes and is just rubbish. The laser gun is not very interactive, you can’t hear the narration and it is so dark! Don’t waste your money. Buy Lego, chuck it in a bucket and stay at home.

    Great Day Out
Me and my son visited today on the adult and preschoolers ticket which was £12 for both of us. My son loved it and had a great time. There were 2 rides, a 4d movie, soft play and loads of interactive things and play areas where he could build a car and race it down various tracks. So much fun to be had and loads of Lego for the kids to play with. Was a really enjoyable day out we will definitely come back again.

Was a terrible overpriced first experience
Terribly overpriced. My 5 year old found there was nothing to do apart from build lego which we could have done at home. I paid £155 for 3 adults 2 children and one under 1. I paid extra for VR, but I wished I didn't. The amount of money for under 2 minutes is terrible. There was no cash taking, only card. We all found it incredibly boring, it was just a big room full of fairy lights and a few people dressed up as lego men. Very disappointed. Won't be going again. We was there under an hour, then decided to go to a play centre which would have been cheaper, and alot more fun.

    disappointed at time given
I thought 2 hours was not long enough really, we brought our 4.5 yr. old Grandson waited in a que for a ride for 20 minutes and a car had been taken off for maintenance, so we were told the wait would be approx. 40 minutes so decided to come back later. it was half term so busy as expected. I did think it was a little tired needed a bit of refurb and TLC in some areas some of the interaction things did not work we pressed buttons but nothing happened? soft play he enjoyed then another que for the merlin ride would be better if the rides seated 4 so both could go on with him. The best thing was the 4D film experience that was thoroughly enjoyed by us all that was the best thing. I do think Adult tickets should be reduced as it must be expensive for a family and not much for the adults to do, especially those who are only going in a supervisory role. So not much time for actually building with the Lego as we had to get back to que again for the ride we had previously waited ages to go on at the beginning. could not fault the staff at all everyone was friendly and helpful. Our Grandson enjoyed it as he was too young to notice tatty bits ,he wasn't big enough to do some things like the climbing wall and another experience were there was an age restriction....Dont think we will be rushing back to this Manchester venue may try Legoland Windsor in the summer but not to the Manchester one.

the kids had a great time
We used to go often but then when the prices for annual passes went really expensive I didn't renew. I noticed that you now do the annual term timeless for under three's for £30 which I think it excellent value...it was busy but not so you couldn't watch the children..we always get in early so no problem with getting a table at all..and great that the kids can bring their own food as one of my children is milk and gluten free...and as a childminder a huge advantage. I feel that two queues need to be implemented after entry as a lot of people don't want their photos taken...especially if the go quite often...this would cut the queues down and get the children in more quickly...it makes no sense to have everyone queuing in the same queue.

Its a dump and not worth a 10th of the access fee
The only things that are in order and working are their shop and creditcard machines. The place is a dump. Everything is broken and you could get round the place in under 10mins. Kids climbing on everything. Very little staff unless it was an opportunity to get more money out of you. Those areas were well staffed. Disappointing to say the least

    New Year Party Event
We visited with 2 children age 6 & 2 for the New Years event and they had a ball. All staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The queues for the rides were 5-10 mins and there was plenty of entertainment that ended with a New years balloon drop at the end which all the kids loved. They were given hats, drink, sweets and souvenir brick on arrival and a Lego band as they left. All areas were clean and we were there for around 2.5 hours. We would visit again.

Black friday deal. Loved even with an 8year old who isnt a lego lover
2 adults and a 8year old child. Black friday deal on tickets which were £10pp which is why we visited i didnt want to pay full price. We thought it was great, our son isnt a lego lover so didnt know if he would enjoy but he loved it! The 4D short film was great fun The ride with a lazer gun was good for us all. The things made out of lego are amazing! Blackpool set, Buzz and Batman , lots to have your picture taken with! My son loved building and made a Titanic ship in the main area to build. (He wornt play with lego at home but loved it there!) In the space room he loved making a meter and a creator. We bought a slush refill from the cafe to walk around with which was £5 and you could refill for free as much as you wanted! (We shared it and refilled 3times) The staff are so friendly and great at their jobs! There is a climing wall.... a treadwall A play area for big children and one for little . A race track on small cars for under 5s. A flying ride (didnt visit was too busy and had a que) You could build your own race car and ride it down a few diffrent tracks which all the kids enjoyed doing there. Defo a good visit not sure id be happy to pay full price ...we had 2hours there with our wrist band saying the time we had to leave. We did turn up early and they let us in which was great. The gift shop is very expensive! Which they usually are at these places. We did the sealife too and our black friday tickets worked out to visit both places , 2 adults and 1 child at £60 which i was happy to pay. I dont know if id pay full price for the time you are in both.

For goodness sake, add some vegan food to the cafe! It’s 2024
There’s no vegan options for the meal deal or anything at all. The chap in the cafe said it wasn’t a one off, they just don’t cater for vegans at all. If it was the 1990s and a small attraction I’d understand but veganism is so common now and Merlin is a large operator of attractions. I see on tripadvisor this issue has been raised before, firstly in 2017. Given the focus lego has on sustainability this lack of any option seem at odds with their strategy and makes lego a real outlier when it’s comes to the retail and leisure sector catering offerings.

    Amazing time
We had a fantastic time! We had a Lego fanatic child so we loved every moment of it! Could not fault any of the staff they really made the experience amazing. All constantly engaging and energetic! Food at the cafe was really expensive which was a shame but still loved the time we had there.

    Wouldn’t come back
We visited here with our five year old son, who is just getting into Lego, as a special treat, and we’re left quite disappointed. It was not a cheap admission (£55 for the three of us), and essentially we expected more. Much of the attraction felt like corridor - sure, loads of pictures of Lego characters but not a huge amount to do. We saw the 4D film, which wasn’t overwhelming. The storyline failed to grip our little boy, and it didn’t really have a unifying theme. This, in fact, is a good way to describe the whole attraction. We were very aware we were there to spend our money, but the whole thing left us feeling quite deflated. The building areas were really messy - a few helpers would have been nice, to encourage and inspire the kids. The rides were sub-standard. Half the castle kingdom ride was broken (shrouded in darkness and silence), and the queues for the other attractions were very long. The cafe prices were simply outrageous. To put it bluntly, our little boy’s favourite part was the tube slide in the play area, something he can do in almost any play park for nothing. I’ve struggled to express my feelings about this place - we filled an afternoon, and he did have fun, but I feel that it was not money well spent. The closest I can come to expressing what I feel is that Lego, to me, is a trusted brand. I know it is quality, long-lasting, hugely fun, adaptable and welcoming. I was astonished that someone from Lego head office (or whatever) visited this attraction and signed off on it, and agreed to put the brand name to it. Not a dreadful day out, but we won’t be returning. I saw someone else’s review on here, saying just stay at home. I’d like to echo that - get your massive tub of Lego out, put a Disney film on, share a special bag of sweeties and just build, build, build! I promise it’ll be more fun, it won’t cost anything much, and you’ll connect more with your kids!!

We visited with a 5 and 3 year old who could go on most rides. This is definitely a glorified lego playground rather than theme park so don't gave high expectations. They have chosen to title it 'discovery centre'.

I would say if you have half priced tickets it's worth it, but very overpriced for full price especially as you cannot spend the full day there. I was very shocked as this is not mentioned anywhere during ticket purchase, only the entrance time is selected and no mention of exit time. When we attived we were told our exit time is 3pm, not much time with young children to be honest. Luckily we live close by but this would be incredibly disheartening for those families who have travelled long distance and paid full price!

Main positive though was that the staff were just so happy and awesome, whatever training they are getting keep it up! Film is shown regularly. Loads and loads of lego everywhere, it is definitly an awesome lego playground lots of themed areas and the ninjago playgym is good albeit small. The regular activities and meet and greet etc is great.

Also to note the adults didn't get a lego souvenir after the factory tour, considering we also paid tickets I found this odd. Also considering there is less for adults to do I don't see why we are paying so much! VR experience should be free for first go atleast, this is really ridiculous charging £5! Kids activity pack should have been more interactive, and include lego pieces!

Overall, as I am a lego lover I do recommend it as a lego experience and to instill love for creativity through lego, good childhood memories etc. But better to keep eye out for offers and discounts.

I went to Legoland, Manchester, with my 3 year old daughter. We arrived at 1:45pm where we were pleasantly greeted and had photos taken which we could buy. The highlight was when Pete played Animal Bingo with us and did a farmyard story whilst building the characters. I would recommend Legoland at this time of year to families with young children as it was quiet with no queues. A great afternoon out.

We booked the first slot, at 9.45 but they held everyone back in a small area with little to see until 10am, however after this everything else was great.

We enjoyed the ride where you get to shoot the baddies with laser guns and the 4d cinema was an entertaining pitstop, and we all got involved building lego cars to race
Our boys, aged 5 and 6, spent ages adding their own bits to the impressive Ninjago structures, and trying out the earthquake tower bits. They would have stayed building lego all day! The moving climbing wall and Ninja reflex test was cool. They liked exploring the Ninjago play area, but I think this would be a bit scary for younger kids - it's very dark and the tunnel slide was even darker, also its not really 'soft' however there is also a really small soft area for toddlers with a slide near the cafe. The 3 rides were nice and we never really queued for more than 10 minutes. I loved the models of Northern landmarks too.

Lots of benches to sit and watch with a coffee and there seemed to be plenty of friendly staff around.

All in all a great day out for a birthday treat!

We are huge Lego fans but are only giving 2 stars because we found this centre overpriced and overcrowded. Although the activities available were good fun (for both children and adults), we felt the centre was too small for the price we paid and the queues for everything were excessively long. Even though we pre-booked and printed out tickets for a specific time slot, we had to queue for over 25 minutes to get in. Queues for rides and activities were even longer, which really spoilt the overall experience. No cloakrooms made the queues in overcrowded stuffy spaces even more unpleasant. It was good to go once but don’t think we’ll be going back to this centre. Definitely not worth the full price!

Not worth the money. I know we are currently in strange difficult times but there's no excuse. We were fortunate to arrive a little early and joined the queue. It took us until 10:15 to get in (scheduled at 10 am). We had to do the first ride as soon as we went in as there was no going back. In the queue for 5/10mins. We get in the large area to be given a small bag of Lego to build a car.

The cinema and Merlin ride weren't open at that time. The Duplo area and cars weren't available at all. The cinema opened (the film was ok) but it only played 4 or 5 times. I'm not sure everyone got in. The Merlin ride was only available for an hour. Due to the numbers in the place and the lack of things to do the queues weren't great. We'd no sooner had done these two experiences there was an announcement to say the place was closing.

As we were leaving the bags of Lego were taken from some customers but not others. I'm not sure why it was this way. All I got when I asked was some kind of grunt noise.

It was ridiculously overpriced for what we got, less than 2 hours most of which was spent in one queue or another.

We won't be going back.

Me, myself and 2 young children all went to Lego land today for a day out as we have Merlin passes, when we arrived we cued over 10 minutes and got told that we was not aloud in due to not booking a time slot which we was unaware about. It took us half an hour to travel to the Lego land centre in Manchester and then to be refused. My 2 young children was very upset and disappointed as they was very excited as having not been to Lego land centre before. There was also 3:30pm time slots available which they did not offer us, they just turned us away which was poor. Lego land was told by myself that they need to update their website and make people aware of making time slots even having Merlin passes. As anybody who has Merlin passes you would automatically think you would be able to turn up and be accepted.

Hello Bethany_Higham26. Thank you for taking the time out to leave us your review. Since the 1st of February we introduced a new booking system for all Merlin Annual Pass Holders. This process has been implemented to improve the experience for all our guests, this way entry is guaranteed when you arrive at the attraction. As I can understand your frustration of being turned away when you arrived, we previously found a lot of Passholders were visiting last minute. We have capacity rules in place for health and safety purposes – and consequently when the attraction was at capacity, Passholders were being turned away. This change was advertised on our website as well as our social media site before it came into place. Sorry for the inconvenience. Karan

Excellent trip as usual. As annual pass holders we like to visit often, sometimes for a whole day, sometimes just a few hours. Great place to let the kids run off steam. Minibuild with Shazib was good fun, built a fish that you can pay to take home if needed. 4d cinema, merlins apprentice ride, forest pursuit rides all walk on today, not much queueing for anything. Centre very clean and all staff polite and helpful. Keep up the good work!

My 8 year old son had a session with James, the master builder at Manchester for his birthday; it was expensive but affordable at 100.00 for a birthday present and worth every penny. In his words ‘best day ever!’
The centre contacted me to ask what he would like to build and fed our requests back to James prior to our visit. James supported Charlie to make an amazing model. He was great with our son and very welcoming.
I would strongly recommend a visit to see this guy if you have a Lego enthusiast at home.

We went to Legoland over the Christmas period and we were horrified! The place is disgustingly dirty, which is unsurprising when you look at the state of the staff they employ.
The management of the company is run very poorly, one girl should not have to operate and entire ride by herself- I’m sure that must be illegal? I mentioned this to a Manager and was appalled at the rude and brash response I received.
The queues were very long and cramped, the whole centre was very disappointing and I would recommend no one ever goes there again as it’s truely awful! Ridiculously over priced for such a horrendous experience! It would be cheaper to go to hell.

We came today for a treat for our sons 6th birthday and on the whole it was an enjoyable day.
Our time slot was 1:30-3:30, but only got into the building at around 1:45 due to queuing outside. The queue for the first section (the ride) took around 20 minutes to get through, which meant by the time we got into the main area, we only had just over an hour in there. Its understandable that due to covid, there is queuing and cleaning processes in place between staggered visits, but I think a reduction in the entry price should be reflected in this due to the amount of time you actually get in the main section.
