What to expect
Visit top attractions throughout Sydney and Bondi Beach on a hop-on hop-off bus tour that makes it a breeze to sightsee in Sydney and visit famous Bondi Beach while your cruise ship is in port. Your double-decker bus features an open top that allows for great views of all the sights. The mild climate of this harborside city makes it the ideal vehicle for cruising around Sydney’s downtown district and outer reaches. Admire the World Heritage-listed Sydney Opera House, Parliament House, Hyde Park and historic sandstone buildings in the Rocks. Then head further afield to look at Paddington’s 18th-century iron-lace terraced houses, Double Bay’s sprawling mansions and Australian surf culture in Bondi Beach. Informative onboard commentary sheds light on Sydney’s history and landmarks. You can hop on and off the bus as often as you like with this one-day pass. The full route of 34 stops takes approximately 90 minutes to complete without stopping, and buses run every 15 to 20 minutes from each stop on the city tour and 30 minutes from each stop on the Bondi Tour, and tickets are valid for 24 hours from first use. The tours connect at Cook and Phillip Park, 100 William Street or Central Station stop. Families can enjoy savings with the Family Pass, which is valid for two adults and two children. The departure point for the hop-on hop-off bus is located within a 10-minute walk of the Barangaroo and Circular Quay cruise ports so you determine the time you return to your ship. Please allow yourself ample time to enjoy the excursion and ensure your timely return to the port. This excursion is not covered by our worry-free policy.

Not only great but also brilliant
Booked the deluxe ticket, 48 hours hoho bus, walking tour of The Rocks, hoho boat to Manly. Would highly recommend this option for a first time visitor to Sydney.
Walking tour was from a well informed guide who also kept things lively. The boat trip to Manly was again well commentated on the way and great to make the most of the time knowing I could get any boat back.
Bus tours were again well informed, I used my own headphones and quality of sound was crystal clear, no idea what their headphones are like.
Now the brilliant bit. I left my hat on a bus when I changed routes. On phoning the depot he was really pleasant and left me confident they would try and find it. By the end of the day they phoned me at my hotel and told me they’d found it and would send it down to Circular Quay on the first bus the following morning. They were so helpful and made me feel they would do their best to find my hat and return it.

Misinformation
Feb 2020
We have used the Hop on Hop off buses in other countries with many good memories. Unfortunately, we did not have the same experience here in Sydney. We purchased several of their package deals. Everything we were told turned out to be MISINFORMATION! We were sold and up sold. When we purchased some of the packages we were told one thing only to find out that the information wasn’t correct. One useful tip... ask if you can extend your bus pass for $5.00. If we had known this we would not have purchased the more expensive packages and the combo packages are a waste of money unless you can ride both the bus and harbor ferry simultaneously. We planned our tours based upon misinformation and lost the second day of our ferry tour. When we rode the buses, the numbered tour map didn’t match the audio description aboard the bus. We were constantly asking where we were. Very confusing!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Your experience with our packages and validity does seem to be unusual and I would be more than happy to discuss your concerns if you contact me at janep@bigbustours.com. Our package deals are usually seen as exceptional value and the validity period for the included attractions offers flexibility. Very sorry there was confusion and impacted your trip. Regards Jane

Great to get your bearings
Jan 2020
We booked the big bus excursion for Wednesday 29th of January to do the 2 routes to get our bearings around Sydney and Bondi. It was easy to book and locate the bus stops. We unfortunately left our mobile on the 1st bus we travelled on but didn't realise until our 3rd bus bound for Bondi. The driver Lenny from Liverpool was most helpful and let us use his phone to locate it back to the driver Tony and Kyle the controller. We had to collect the phone back at Central where we were able to continue on our journey. We had all our travel and visa information on the phone so it was a bit of scary moment not knowing if it had been found. It is nice to know there are some honest people about and Lenny went above and beyond to locate it for us, we couldn't thank him enough. The rest of the tour was really good with lots of bit of information.

Big bus = big disappointment
Really not worth doing and I am a massive big bus tour fan! You constantly stop for too long and there is barely any narration at all and you learn very little!! It’s by far the worst one I have ever been on round the world and to make it worse the supervisors at the bus stop were rude as well.. I’m not sure what to recommend to see Sydney however this over priced under whelming bus tour isn’t one of them !

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that your experience was not as expected. Communication with our customers and the experience we provide are very important to us. If you would like to contact me directly at janep@bigbustours.com with further information regarding the day you travelled and specific issues I would be very happy to discuss further. Thank you for choosing to travel to Sydney, with the recent fire impacts it is fantastic to see a sudden increase in visitors in the lead up to NYE.

Great thing to get your bearings
Apr 2019 • Couples
What a great way to get your bearings around Sydney! I think it was about $ 49 each, it sounds a lot but when you see how far you go and can get on and off anywhere, it is value for money indeed👍. If you start first thing in the morning you will really get the full benefit. They give you some earphones that you plug into your seat, there’s at least 5 different languages you can select. You are given a informative narrative on your journey, this helped me win a quiz on my following cruise!
This is a 10/10 from me😊👍👍👍👍
