About the operator

- palls_t0 contributionsCity city tourWe had a lovely guide Eva Massi take us through the city and suburbs. She is very knowledgeable and very friendly too. She was very flexible and explained us all of what we expected to know and much more. I highly recommend this tour and kudos to Eva. Keep up the good work!Written 22 May 2023

- KerryGorgone0 contributionsFantastic way to see Sydney!Lovely way to see the city! We mentioned to Andrew that we like history and architecture, so he brought us through some of Sydney’s many neighborhoods and told us about them, pointing out certain houses. He also brought is to several scenic vistas, including Sydney Harbor National Park and Bondi Beach. Andrew knows all the best tea shops, too! He left us off at the Queen Victoria Building so we could have tea there on the top floor.Written 7 July 2022
- williamkZ2720HJ0 contributionsThis was a really great tourThis is our first trip to Australia and we did not know what to expect. We found a gem! Not only is Sydney a beautiful city worth multiple visits, but Jelle was a personable, well spoken guide. We are only in Sydney for a few days (leaving on a cruise) so we tried to jam in multiple short tours. I would take this again. It was great seeing all of the special places in this great city. I left the tours wanting to come back again. What else can I say? Highly recommended.Written 2 February 2020

- keithhammo0 contributionsWonderful afternoonWe had a fantastic afternoon, very personalised, we visited lots of places many of which were just off, the main tourist spots, which are used and enjoyed by the locals. This was an unforgettable afternoon. It was like seeing Sydney through different eyes. I would highly recommend this tour. Thank you to our guide for giving us unforgettable memories of Sydney. - estelleleslie0 contributionsFantastic scenery- Great DayOur group of 4 was picked up promptly at 7:15 by Vonn for a private tour. We were the first to arrive at Featherdale. Did our picture with the Koala , hand fed the numerous kangaroos and saw the native birds and animals. We then headed to the Blue Mountains for hiking. Amazing scenery and waterfalls ! Vonn provided lots of good commentary. We then drove to see the Three Sisters and Orphan rock . After that short walk , we picked up a good lunch and headed out for another hike to view the mountains from a different vantage point. We had a picnic with a fabulous view. The last stop was at the Botanical Gardens. 90 minute drive back to Sydney. So glad we saw this special part of Sydney.Written 27 February 2019
- USARAL0 contributionsDissatisfied Dingo Tours' Blue Mountains CharterDingo Tours' advertising shows a Mercedes passenger van for the private tours and charters. Our group chartered a tour with Jelle, but was driven in a noisy Toyota passenger van with broken mic/audio. No one could hear his commentary other than the front seat passenger. The scenery and itinerary were nice, but the quality of hours of travel with commentary was severely diminished. Also, the tour itself was shortened from 10 hours to 9-1/2 hours.Written 23 January 2019
- 474kathleenl0 contributionsBeyond amazingIt took me 4 tries to take this tour. The first time I was signed up for it my plane engine caught on fire and I never made it to Australia. The second and third time there weren't enough people signed up for me to be able to go but this time I made it! It was well worth the wait! Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful we got to see a lot of things I'm sure we wouldn't have seen otherwise... I loved the walk through scenic world as well as the rides and the walk to Honeymoon Bridge and I thoroughly enjoyed Featherdale Wildlife.Written 5 January 2019
- NYCTraveler070 contributionsStop comparing and just book this one!I was really undecided about booking a tour or taking the train and doing a self-guided walk in the Blue Mountains. I booked with Jelle at Dingo two days before our excursion and I’m so grateful it wasn’t full up. The tour was amazing and absolutely a highlight of our entire trip Down Under. We had six people in our group, and Jelle was fantastic. Communication about pickup time at our hotel was perfect, and he made sure everyone had a good time. We particularly loved getting to Featherstone before it opened to the public. I also loved that we got in some really good walks and weren’t slowed down by a large group. We got to see Wentworth Falls (though not much water at this time of year), the Three Sister, Boar’s Head, and Pulpit Rock—all without running into many other tourists. Everyone had time for photos, and Jelle let people go at their own pace. Because it was a colder, blustery day, he took us to a cafe instead of doing a picnic, which was considerate and appreciated. And the food there was delicious! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to get out to the Blue Mountains, and I’d do the tour again in a heartbeat.Written 26 August 2018
- FWjaunt0 contributionsGood overall but not perfectWe covered everything that was promised very smoothly, but two things to mention: I reserved way in advance and asked for confirmation by email two days before (after arriving in Sydney), but didn't get it until I called the night before. Also, our guide was friendly, but a bit of a conspiracy theorist ("what's on the other side of the moon?") and climate change denier.Written 12 May 2018

The tour was disappointing mainly because the Blue Mountains were completely fogged in. In retrospect, the tour should have been cancelled. Also, the lunch arrangement was suboptimal. The operator arranges for lunch at a small restaurant where there were not enough available tables. Also, the menu is restrictive. We would recommend that the tour stop for 45 minutes in a township with 2-3 restaurants, and let the people decide where and what to eat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on your recent Blue Mountains tour experience. While we appreciate your perspective, we'd like to address some points raised in your rather unfair review.
Weather Conditions:
We understand your disappointment with the rainy and foggy conditions during the tour. Unfortunately, weather is beyond our control, and we rely on accurate forecasts. In this instance, the forecast accurately predicted little rain, with sufficient breaks, allowing for an enjoyable walk through the valley. Regarding the fog: there is no way to know how foggy it will be in the mountains.
Cancellation Policy:
Our cancellation policy is designed to provide flexibility for our customers. We offer a full refund if the booking is canceled up to 24 hours before departure. This allows guests to make informed decisions based on their preferences and the forecast.
Tour Cancellation:
Once a tour has departed, cancellation becomes impractical. We trust our customers to make informed decisions before the tour starts, considering factors like weather forecasts.
Lunch Arrangements at Cafe Altitude Delicatessen:
We're sorry to hear you found the lunch arrangements suboptimal. The Cafe Altitude Delicatessen, consistently rated 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor, has received praise for its offerings in numerous reviews. Many guests appreciate the quality and freshness of the food, and enjoy the opportunity to connect with locals. This was no different on the day of your tour,. Yes, one of the three reserved tables was not ready when the tour arrived a little earlier than expected, so you had to wait 10 minutes. is that really such a big deal to warrant leaving us a very damaging review? Really?
Menu options: Our lunch menu offers gourmet sandwiches - white or whole meal rolls, or Turkish bread - with a choice of different kinds of burgers; chicken schnitzel, smoked salmon, halumi & olive tapenade , or adzouki beans - all with fresh greens. Restrictive?
Exploration vs. Larger Bus Tours:
Our focus as a small tour operator is on providing an authentic and exploratory experience of the Blue Mountains National Park. We understand that preferences vary, and larger bus tours may prioritise different aspects, such as canteen-style lunches and town visits.
Review Impact:
We hope potential customers consider the entirety of our reviews and the unique experience we strive to offer. Your two-star rating, primarily based on weather conditions, certainly does not capture the essence of our commitment to delivering exceptional tours. I notice that your review does not contain any comment on the efforts our guide Katja put into providing the best possible experience in less then perfect conditions.

This trip was booked for the day before and I was messaged by Jelle to see if I could go the next day.
I was pleased I could manage this trip before departing Australia the day after.
Great full day starting with being picked up at the hotel. The weather as a bit dodgy but Jelle talked us through the places where we would be going if it was nice weather. He tried a few different spots to give us a great view between cloud and rain.
We weren't disappointed when the clouds shifted a couple of times to give us a glimpse of the Blue mountains and the valleys around.
Good lunch in a small town, with only 5 of us and a dodge day we managed to eat in the cafe rather than have a picnic.
Nice stop at the Ferndale animal park on the way up, and on the way home we called into a botanical Garden in the Mountains.

Our guide was very personable and offered much information during the tour. An adjustment had to be made on the fly because there was an accident reported on the road ahead, and he took us to a very scenic location. Pick up was on time as promised. There was a total of 6 persons in our tour group which allowed us to have a close interaction with our guide.

Guide was not knowledgeable about the area we toured. He owned an art gallery and did tours as a way to make money. Examples: He indicated that there were no termites in Sydney area and thus those were not termites or termites mounds - wrong. Also that he didn't think there were any Koalas in the Blue mountains ( thousands of Eucalyptus trees say otherwise). He had to stop to pick up water... so we were late leaving Ferndale. We changed our trip to accommodate the tour... what a mistake. One of the 2 ladies was limping and with a cane... so we were slow and always waiting on her. We had maybe 20 minutes at the Mt Tomah botanical Gardens because we were running so far behind. We still ended up being 1 1/2 hours late getting back to Sydney. Only had time to pick up some sandwiches at a market and get back to the hotel to do laundry and pack. Worst tour I have ever been on

Dear G,
I must confess, it's quite a challenge for me to take your comments seriously; they come across as more laughable than anything else, albeit somewhat malicious. Firstly, Dune, one of our outstanding guides who has consistently garnered rave reviews, is absolutely accurate: there are no koalas in the Blue Mountains National Park. He acquired this knowledge from an ancient Mountain Ash tree in the Jamison Valley, which witnessed the last koalas being hunted for their fur a century ago. Additionally, a nearby old Stringy Bark Tree nostalgically reminisced about the good old times when koalas were still munching on its eucalyptus leaves. Unfortunately, times have changed. The few koalas that survived ongoing land clearing, bushfires, and knowledgeable tour guides leading koala-spotting adventures in the eucalyptus woodlands are now secluded in the Wollemi National Park and other parts of the Great Blue Mountains World Heritage Area.
Secondly, regrettably, Dune is also correct about the absence of termite mounds in the Blue Mountains National Park. The last termite mound in the Grose Valley is currently on display at the Ochred Gallery, managed by our friend Dune (who, by the way, is on a well-deserved holiday, funded by tourists he supposedly deceived with subpar content).
Nonetheless, I've made the decision to part ways with Dune and discontinue his role as our tour guide. In this regard, I find common ground with you, G. How audacious of him to halt the bus for a water purchase! He should have instructed the slower members of the party to seek shelter beneath a eucalyptus tree (commonly known as a widow-maker, as you obviously already know) or, better yet, encouraged them to fashion warmth from a koala's skin—anything but slowing down your adventures down under.
I trust you relished your sandwich.
Good day.

Jelle had a tour guide drop out so [seamlessly] transferred us to Sydney Adventure Tours instead. It was a great trip apart from the weather - which failed to fully cooperate - but we saw what we went to see and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Small group of 7 pax plus our guide so easy company too

Jelle from dino tour is an excellent guide. With his deep history and cultural background, he led us to an incredible insightful hike around the various scenic blue mountain lookouts. A specially prepared lunch was thrown in for us too. Kudos to our members in our tour group.

We were looking for a Blue Mountains tour that did not just concentrate on the main tourist attractions. This tour definitely delivered. We enjoyed a circular walk around the Jamison Valley and visited some beautiful parts of the Blue Mountains that are definitely off the beaten track. Most of the overlooks we visited, we had to ourselves. Our guide Jelle was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the local flora and fauna as well as about the history and culture of the area. We came away feeling that we really had experienced the true Blue Mountains.

Picked up on time at hotel. Featherdale was really good. We got there early and essentially was empty, getting close and personal with wallabies and kangaroos is so much fun. Avoided large gathering of people at Blue Mountains. Our guide Dune was very helpful in finding the best spots to have the best views and to take pictures. Overall, it was an incredible experience and would highly recommend.

We just had a great day with our guide Dune! He brought us to so many beautiful places, gave a lot of information and we had a great lunch. Don't forget to bring your coat in the winter as it's cold there, but Dune even has a few extra coats in case anyone gets cold. I would definitely recommend this trip.
Thank you very much for this great day. Worth every penny!

We had an amazing tour in the Blue Mountains with Dingo tours! Our local guide Jelle picked us up from our hotel early in the morning. He instantly created good vibes in the bus and shared some jokes. We stopped at the Sydney wildlife park and spotted koalas, kangaroos and other wildlife. We continued the trip and stopped at several lookouts in the Blue Mountains. Jelle showed us places with not many tourists and stunning views! We stopped in a town where we could buy lunch. In the afternoon we did a fantastic hike. Jelle is a very driven guide that knows a lot about fauna & flora and keeps the group engaged. I would highly recommend this tour!

We will be staying at an apartment in Rozelle. Would you pick us up there or would we have to get ourselves to a designated pick-up point in the CBD?

Is there a lot of walking on this tour. I would be with two elderly women.
Written 22 January 2019
Yes, there is a fair amount of walking involved. But, could be optional. The guide took us on a couple of “bush walks” that could be difficult. But the cultural show could be okay.
