Delve into the history of Sydney and British Australia on a leisurely 90-minute walking tour in The Rocks district with an expert guide. Enjoy the delights of present-day visuals as you explore The Rocks and hear the story of Sydney’s convict past as you discover shady courtyards, narrow laneways and hidden areas that even the locals do not know about. Tour Highlights: • The shoreline of Sparkling Sydney Cove • Harbour views of Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge • Cadman’s Cottage, The Rocks oldest surviving cottage built in 1816 • Campbell’s Cove, offering fantastic views of Sydney Harbour • Awe inspiring Argyle Cut begun with convict labour in 1843 • Within The Rocks historic precinct, we will wander through Greenway Lane, Kendall Lane, Suez Canal, Foundation Park and much more.
What to Expect
Meet your guide at the starting point, which is easily accessible for cruise ship passengers and Sydney visitors, in The Rocks district. From there, visit historic sites and hear stories about the one-time British Australian settlement from a guide. The walking tour, which covers 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) at a leisurely pace, focuses on the neighborhood located under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and is a popular tourist destination. Wander around the area’s cobbled stone streets, alleyways, and courtyards. The tour includes stops at Cadman's Cottage, which was built in 1816; Campbell's Cove; the Garrison Church, which is known as the Church of Holy Trinity; and more. We were lucky enough to have the tour all to ourselves and Brian was amazing! He was so passionate and insightful and tailored the tour to our questions and interests. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being tourists in our own backyards and learnt a lot in the process.

Wow!! Thank you for your recommendation and support. Delighted you enjoyed your time with Helen on our tour. Even though we've been open to customers since 1 June, we have really missed people coming to visit The Rocks. So it's great to see people out and about again and having the opportunity to walk these familiar streets again with the locals helping them to discover Sydney's oldest neighbourhood. Thank you for the review and 5 stars.
