I had a fantastic 4 hours Whale Watching Cruise on 29/10/2021, on board of Jerry Bailey ship.
The whole process from checkin, lunch, commentary and disembarking was flowless and very welcoming.
Clarissa and her team was very friendly, looking after elderly passengers and always with the smile.
The boat was very safe with experienced Skipper, who navigate it us exactly to the spots , where we could see the numerous whales frolicking in the waters and some spectacular breeches as well.

Whale watching guide very knowledgeable and entertaining. The crew knew what they were doing and we saw lots of whales close up. Lunch was good. All over a great trip.

These people absolutely love Whale Watching. Managed to see 30-50 killer whales, all surrounded by killer whales. Killer whales are rare in this region and without these guys, we will never be able to have such marvellous experience.

The commentary as usual was tops. However, the whales were even better as they swum alongside, as close as 50 metres, to the Jerry Bailey several times.

Skipper patiently explained about the whales. Whole experience was awesome. And some mugshots with Humpbacks was thrilling experience. 4 hours of whale watching, worth every penny. Definitely recommend

Hi! Our team at Oz Whale Watching are so happy to hear that you had a great time on board with us, getting shots with the whales as they swam next to the boat. We hope you stay safe and well and that you will be on board with us again next season!

It was my first time Whale watching, absolutely loved every bit of it! From the friendly and informative staff, to the vegan friendly meal that was prepared for me upon request and then of course the Whales! They were communicating with us with their breaches responding to our voices, it was beautiful, must have been about 100 breaches, would 100% recommend! A video does not do the experience justice.

All started few weeks before when I spoke with Clarissa in the Harbour. She was very prompt and helpfull. I wanted to go for a trip on my partner´s birthday, Clarissa said that she would take care of the whole thing.
The day went well, with sunn and with a start of some history of circular quay. At open ocean, Biggles was very passionate speaking about the whales and it´s incredible how he passes that love to you. You can see at his face that he really loves what he does and he has eagle eyes when it comes to find the whales. That proof was when we had whales jumping all over
The whole crew is very kind and even song happy birthday to my partner.
clearly recomend to anyone that wants to have a great day without putting to much stress on the wild animal life.

The problems we encountered were:

1. The seas were very rough so they should not serve lunch right before Whale watching. We observed about 75% of the people around us throwing up. It was bearable in the beginning, but as the boat went further out to the open seas, more people started to throw up.
2. The quality of the food was poor. We were told there would be BBQ lunch, but that was not the case.
3. The length of the excursion could be shortened. We saw whales within the first hour, so by the third hour most people had lost interest, but had to endure until it was the promised time to come back.
4. The guide talked excessively and his rambling was quite irritating.
