    Nice, but small and expensive
We decided on the 3pm happy hour tickets. You only need half an hour to an hour to go around. We were really disappointed how small this museum was. It is nice to go around. most statues are pretty well done. but again it is small and even with the happy hour reduced pricing it was too expensive. The kids wanted the experience. they liked it. but just know that within the hour you will have finished

Fantastic afternoon meeting all sorts of famous people-stayed overnight in Darling Harbour on way to cruise holiday. Well worth a visit and met, Einstein, the Queen and royal family member, Henry Lawson, Eric Bana, Steve Irwin, Brad Pitt, Leonardo, Johnnie Dep, and sporting celebrities.. don’t miss out. One staff member was very welcoming and showed us the process ie B. Franklin- thank you all

Madame Tussauds Sydney, at Darling Harbour. Took amazing famed personalities' waxworks photos; my highlight? - Captain Marvel (her cape insignia! glows) Zap-Zap, Kapow - I'm shooting lightning-bolts everywhere - the magic of AR interactive features – what cool fun!! Madame Tussauds (90's) in London's vrs Madame Tussauds Sydney - vibrant, close to everything at Barangaroo & Darling Harbour, world-class restaurants, nightlife - amazing visit. Some of the figures were frighteningly realistic.Others not so realistic. We spent about a half hour in there. We have been to other Madam Tussauds museums before which to me have been brilliant. It was enjoyable but not worth what you pay to go in and see

    Worth going to
Great experience. Better than the one in Singapore. We would a ticket to go to 2 attractions eg the aquarium which made it more cost effective.

    Worth a Visit
Having been to another wax museum in Brisbane where all the displays were behind glass we weren't going to go to Madam Tussauds in Sydney. We made a last minute decision and went. We were not let down! The displays are mostly somewhat interactive. You can pop clothes on and pose with the wax stars. Rushing through it we wished we had taking more time for this. It's also awesome that your photo is taken at the entrance and digital photos are included in the ticket price. You can also have photos printed at a cost.

    Fantastic
Although it was a little hot and crowded, the set up of the establishment and the figures themselves are awesome. I particularly loved learning about the history of madame tussaud herself!

    Cool and unnerving
Madam tuessauds Now this place is cool , even if I can't spell or pronounce the name! Didnt get many pictures because it was busy as! Now I would NOT recommend this place during school holidays 😅 wildly busy. 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧👨‍👩‍👦👨‍👧👨‍👩‍👧‍👧👨‍👧‍👦👨‍👦‍👦 Tell you what , its cool, a little unnerving at first but still , if you haven't been I highly recommend it at least once. Their Marvel and DC characters are incredible .🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ Word to the wise don't use the photo booth its a waste of $10. 🚫 Buying tickets as a package is the easy way to do it and most cost effective.🎟🎟 I bought online and had them downloaded in my phone. 📱 Accessing the venue is as simple as opening google wallet and 🔊BEEEEP 🔊 *swipe* 🔊BEEEEP 🔊and you're in ! So, so, so good! Charge your phone , take your camera if you have one 📸📱. There are some awesome photo ops and SURPRISINGLY knowledge to be aquired if its not too busy and you have the patience for crowds... I do not 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I didn't use the amenities here either so I can't tell you what their like . Sorry 🤷‍♂️ Awesome venue , I'll be heading back for some silly snaps 5 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ #awesome #creepy #fun #familyfriendly #informative

    An hour of fun!
We visited first thing upon opening on a Monday morning. It wasn’t too busy & we had lots of areas to ourselves & had fun taking pictures. We do think it’s a little pricey at $40 each (booked online) but it was an hour of fun nonetheless! Recommended 8.5/10

Fun if you're visiting the zoo and aquarium
Quite a fun trip and quite cheap with the four attractions sealife ticket. However, I was disappointed in the size of the three attractions, as they only took a few hours to go around all of them. This one took less than an hour. But as I had been conned into the four attraction ticket thinking it was a bargain, it was a fun day out with some recognisable faces - like Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Pink, Leo DiCaprio, Nicole Kidman, Einstein... And some superheroes. But also a lot of faces I didn't recognise and I was wondering who they were. I would have liked a larger Australian part, as crocodile Dundee was placed at the front away from the main part and Steve Irwin was one of the best, it would be nice to have some snakes or something with him. There were props for some of the characters if you wished, but I worry about the cleanliness of these as other people have worn the clothes and hats.

    Memories for a Lifetime
I did the Zoo, aquarium and Mme Tussauds. I really enjoyed the pictures taken at the zoo. I really appreciate if I was able to take a few at Mme Tussaud's. At the entrance there was no one to take pictures. But once the tour was done, there was a lady who asked my ticket to download my pictures, and apologized for not taking the pictures. I am a tourist who travelled from Canada to visit Sydney. Pictures would have been "magic memories" for me like the zoo describes it. However, the staff was helpful and polite. Is there a possibility to link some pictures from the zoo to Mme Tussaud's?

    Great for Photo Ops
I am not a fan of wax museums but a visit to Madame Tussauds was included in our four-attraction ticket, so we toured it. Madame Tussauds in Darling Harbor has several themed areas with life-size wax figures. Marvel characters such as Superman and Wonder Women will delight anyone interested in superheroes. You won’t have to go to England to have your photo taken with Queen Elizabeth II (now deceased), Harry and Meghan, and/or Prince William and Katherine, Duchess of Cambridge. If royalty is not your cup of tea, you can see world leaders, President Obama, Nelson Mandela, Ghandi, Prime Minister Julia Gillard or even Einstein. Other theme areas include sports, entertainment, fashion, movie stars, and Australians Steve Irwin and Heath Ledger. Recommend.

This is near the Sydney Aquarium on the Darling Harbour. It is a wax museum like the one in London. Along with Sydney Aquarium and Wildlife Park it is part of Merlin Entertainment Group. It was disappointing that no postcards, brochures or souvenir book on it

    Worth the recommendation
Strang to have the queue joining with the WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo while waiting to enter, but it seems to work out okay once the admission for the pre booked time slot started. Enjoyable experience with lots of photo opportunities. Great little attraction. Will recommend to others.

I expected more. This is shoved in-between the zoo and the aquarium and after a measly hour spent in both, I thought maybe, just maybe they could fit quite a few models in the warehouse type model they have shoved on the pier. But no. Yet again this is tiny in comparison to the size of Sydney. Who decided to shove all these attractions together in this tourist trap? Take. A look across the bridge and look at the massive maritime museum. This should be the type of size dedicated to each of the zoo, aquarium and the madam Tussauds. It's laughable. These attractions have clearly been done on a budget and Sydney ought to be ashamed of itself.

Hi Trip12968561843, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you believed our attraction was small compared to our other attraction. Madame Tussuads Sydney is home to over 100 figures, spread across multiple themed rooms which demonstrate what each individual has contributed on an international and local scale. Additionally, SEALIFE and WILD LIFE Sydney are our sister attractions in which our collective goal is to showcase the Australian culture and make it convenient for everyone to visit our attractions just by visiting the city and stepping through the same entrance! We also take great pride in ensuring our enclosures and figures are up to standards to ensure the experiences for our guests are great and fun-filled! If you have any further questions and concerns, please reach out to us at madametussaudssydneyreview@merlinentertainments.com.au Cheers, MT Sydney Team

Mixed reviews on this one... some of the wax figures looked nothing like their real life counterparts - our family didn't recognise who we were posing with and so many of our friends and family didn't recognise them on social media.

Other wax figures were great, but the background wasn't good for photos.

The staff went from creepy - following us around and being overly complimentary (flirtatious which was cringe worthy) to outright rude (Morgan in the gift shop - she is a disgrace the way she speaks to people).

Overall, the experience was fun, but pricey for the hour it took a family of 4 to move through the exhibits including taking photos with all the figures and participate in the couple of interactive exhibits too.

I visited this wax museum because it was only a $10.00 extra charge on my combo ticket with the aquarium and wildlife zoo. I’ve seen other locations in many cities around the world, but this was my first time actually going inside of one. I would note that probably about 1/4 to 1/3 of the sculptures are of Australian celebrities; so, many foreigners may not be familiar with a number of those who are supposed to be represented. That being said, there were still many celebrities whose likeness will be recognized by most visitors. The sculptures are very well-made, with some of them being scarily life-like. Overall, though, I just don’t see the allure of this place. It’s basically a bunch of store mannequins that happen to look like some celebrities. I definitely would not return, nor will I visit any of their other locations around the world, knowing what it’s like to visit this one.

Hi EastTNVol, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us an honest review about your visit. We are glad to hear that you were able to enjoy the craftmanship that goes into each of our figures. The process alone to make one of our figures is over 9 month process with many intricate details such as individually inserting the hair strand by strand. Not only are we a place that has wax figures, it allows our guests to really understand the incredible process that Marie Tussauds herself created 250+ years ago! Our attractions are super interactive that give you the chance to rub shoulders with Chris Hemsworth and then stand next to Albert Einstein - an experience that would simply be impossible outside our attraction doors. You are correct, our Sydney attraction is heavily Australian icons as that is what makes us unique!! I am happy you did choose the option to visit us and maybe one day in the future, you can experience the attraction with one of your icons and snap that unmissable moment right next to them! Regardless, if you wanted to reach out to me directly for more ways we could improve the experience, I would really like to hear from you: madametussauds@merlinentertainments.com.au as we want to ensure we provide the best experience for all! Thanks, Mikayla

Very disappointing. We went on a weekday and there were only about 10 other people in there so walked round in 15 minutes. Some decent waxworks but others were very old or unable to tell who they were (eg Adele). It was obvious that Prince Harry and Meghan had been moved from the Royals area and dumped in with the Hemsworth brothers! If you have ever been to London Madame Tussauds, you will come away wondering why you just wasted 80 dollars. Nothing more than walking a warehouse with a few waxworks, with very little supporting backgrounds. You even get a taxi 'rollercoaster' in London plus a dungeon with actors too. 15 minutes of life we will never get back, sadly. Those who rave about the place must be new to waxwork museums to think this was a great place to visit.

Hi Estmarcha, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you believed our attraction was small compared to our other attractions. Being based in the heart of Sydney, we do not have the opportunity to expand into a larger attraction like Madame Tussauds in London, however, we are home to over 100 figures, spread across multiple themed rooms which demonstrate what each individual has contributed on an international and local scale, along with many interactive sets like our Dylan Alcott Tennis game and our Pride Costume interactive. Additionally, SEALIFE and WILD LIFE Sydney are our sister attractions in which our collective goal is to showcase the Australian culture and make it convenient for everyone to visit our attractions just by visiting the city and stepping through the same entrance! The best way to make the most of your money by purchasing a multiple attraction pass! We also take great pride in ensuring our enclosures and figures are up to standards to ensure the experiences for our guests are great and fun-filled! Madame Tussauds is an ever-evolving attractions and across the years, we will see several new figures come into our attraction. Thank you once again for your review. The statues were shockingly realistic and there were so many interesting facts about them. I went by myself and Ben was extremely kind to me, he took photos of me next to the statues and told me very intriguing facts about them. Ben absolutely made my day and I would go back in a heartbeat!

Visited with a young family in the afternoon. Overall a good experience.

The displays were good, although could have been more interactive for children and updated some of the props.

The only down side is the ticket price and value for money, took us 45mins to view the entire place.

Could have been enhanced by more displays that are interactive for children.

Hi Nathan, Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and we’re sorry to hear that you were unhappy with the price of entry to our attractions. We think the best value comes from our cluster tickets, with which you can see any of our Sydney attractions (Madame Tussauds, Wild Life, Sea Life, or Sydney Tower Eye) - the more you see, the more you save! We’d definitely recommend getting one of these tickets next time, but if there’s anything else we could have done during your experience inside the attraction, we’d love you to reach out to us at Madame Tussauds. Thanks again for your feedback, it goes a long way to help us give everyone a magical experience! - Cheers, Merlin Admissions Team

Amazing experience.
Loved it, you could take photos and interact with displays. Fun props to change up photos. Spend a couple hours here. Plenty of celebrities that you would never see in real life.
Definitely put it on your to do list in Sydney. (forget SeaLife - See other review)

I have been once many years ago. We did come to see HARRY and not disappointed by him, but the overall experience was less than I remember from my previous trip. I did however like the interaction aspect with costumes and props etc. Took us less than an hour to walk through.

I tried phoning for 3 hours but to no avail. Line busy.
I tried email via their 'contact us'. No reply.

Hi There, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review today. You are correct, we do accept the NSW Discover vouchers both online and on site. As the voucher is an adult ticket, that is what we offer the Discover voucher on, an adult ticket. It does sound confusing but using your voucher is still the best option! With the addition of the NSW Dine & Discover vouchers, our Customer Care team have become very busy which is most likely the delay in having someone respond, which we are sorry for. If you wanted to reach out to me directly at madametussaudssydneyreviews@merlinentertainments.com.au, my name is Mikayla and I would be happy to help you out if you wished to use your voucher. Happy to speak over the phone too! I look forward to hearing from you, so that we can have you experience our wonderful attraction and give you the visit you deserve! Many thanks, Mikayla
