What to Expect
Get an early start from Darwin with hotel pickup and an easy drive in an air-conditioned minivan to Litchfield National Park. On the way, stop to see the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite mounds, which stand an impressive 20 feet (6six meters) tall and can be viewed from boardwalks nearby. Continue into Litchfield National Park and visit many park highlights and scenic spots throughout the day. Stop at Florence Falls and Wangi Falls (seasonal) in the morning to swim in natural rock pools, then reenergize with a picnic barbecue lunch. In the afternoon, head to Buley Rockhole, where you can cool off and explore its series of waterfalls and swimming holes.  Your Litchfield tour ends with return to your hotel in Darwin in the early evening.
