A great day out - small group, fab food, amazing scenery and waterfall swims - Highly Recommend
We had a great day out to Litchfield NP with Karen. The set up and organisation was excellent - everything you could possibly think of was covered. The small group trip in a comfortable merc minibus was exactly what we wanted - we don't like large group coach trips! We were well fed and watered during the day - possibly the best chicken salad that I've ever had! Karen was informative and an excellent guide and very willing to answer questions. The waterfalls, scenery, swamp, wildlife and the lookouts were all amazing and swimming at the waterfalls was a great experience and very surreal when we had a brief but heavy rain shower at Wangi Falls ! We would thoroughly recommend this trip.

More amazing than I'd even imagined!
I took the two day tour into Kakadu and added on the option of staying an extra night and continuing into Arnhem Land. It was a fantastic experience. I was travelling on my own, and came across Ethical Adventures by complete chance, but am so glad I did. I particularly liked the emphasis on the local culture. I'd do another tour with them, any time! And staying at Anbinik resort was a real treat.

        FOOD FOOD FOOD !
Lots of fun - BUT - don't eat before you go ! so many food trucks - all types. Get their early for a park and table. Quite a few stalls with the usual stuff - whips, hats, knick-knacks etc - but top food. Easy walk from the city if you are so inclined - just stay on Smith Street - past the Casino. ZEN had a free bus to it.

        Kakadu day trip
Our host Steve was an absolute delight, the knowledge of this man in everything is mind blowing, he made our trip to kakadu memorable and knowledgeable. What made it great was firstly the group size, the meals and the experience of a great host in showing and informing us of this beautiful land. Would highly recommend the little bit extra and going with this company for any tour as it was well worth it!!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST TOUR OF KAKADU
My girlfriend and I just came back from the 2 day Colours of Kakadu tour with Steve as our guide. What an AMAZING time we had!!! Steve was friendly, knowledgeable, lots of fun and very mindful of our needs. We saw crocodiles, wallabies, a dingo crossing the road, Jabiru birds, as well as lots of other birds from the area plus a large goanna crossing the road. The different things we saw and did was fabulous, as well as a river cruise, a sunrise cruise of the Yellow Water Billabong and a flight over Kakadu itself. Absolutely recommend Ethical Adventures to give you the best tour experience!!!!

A very special holiday to remember
My family (4 adults) enjoyed an 8 day private tour with Rob in early September. Rob's focus upon the total customer experience, coupled with his knowledge and passion for the NT made this a truly exceptional holiday for all of us. The catering and tours were first class, made even better by Rob's ability to explain the many facets of the region. If you are looking for a holiday that truly captures the essence of this wonderful area of Australia, then Ethical Adventures is the team to travel with. We will definitely be back and use Rob and his team to explore more of this unique region.

        Ethical in every way
What a fantastic experience we had on our 2 day Colors of Kakadu trip. From the moment Adam introduced himself as our guide for the next 2 days, we felt so relaxed and confident we were going to have a great time. It was an early start, but that was soon forgotten when we reached Fogg Dam to hear and see nature awakening for another day. All this whilst we ate fresh ham & cheese croissants, yoghurt, fruit, juice tea and coffee. On we travelled in the comfort of our air conditioned small van to our next stop - Cahills Crossing - for a cruise on the Alligator River. Could not get over how many crocodiles we saw . Once completed, we ate a fresh lunch of chicken and salad, (another wonderful creation by Tracey). From there we continued on to our accommodation for the night, which given our location, was more than expected. But then it is no surprise really, given the care and attention to every detail of the trip that the team at Ethical go to . I could go on about every part of our trip in more detail, but I'll probably lose those I haven't already lost .Basically, if you are looking to go on a trip

        Outstanding tour
I recently returned from a trip to the NT that included the two day tour of Kakadu with ethical adventures. Rob is an amazing guide dedicated to making sure you feel safe and looked after. His information and conversations were wonderful. Snacks and lunches were delicious. All the locations visited were spectacular. Highly recommend.

Book your tours only through ethical adventures
From my initial contact with Rob and Tracey I knew these tours were going to be special. Their passion and customer service in that short time instantly earned my trust and I was referring people to them even before I took my tours. I have travelled so far to 22 countries and taken countless tours in my time and I have to say the Colours of Kakadu tour has to be one of the best tours I have ever taken. Not just for the incredible experiences but for Rob. Almost instantly we were not just with a guide but a friend. His passion, knowledge, wit, care, and attention to detail made this experience enriching and a complete comfort and joy. The accommodation at Anbinik Kakadu Resort is so special, comfortable, stylish and the outdoor shower under the stars a true experience. Rob and Tracey have gone out of their way to design itineraries that makes sure you are in places at the right time of day to ensure the best experience and most abundant wildlife. In addition you are not turning up to places with loads of tourist buses but instead watching spectacular sunsets with almost no one else and eating lunch alone by a billabong. Tracey provides the most Incredibly delicious fresh food, you can truly taste the love she puts in as well as choosing the right type of food for the climate, you really don't want to eat a heavy big meal at lunch in that heat. They have just the right people, who hold their passion and ethical values to represent them and on my Litchfield tour I was lucky enough to have Katie. Her diverse knowledge not just of indigenous culture and bush tucker but also that of Darwins diverse history taught this Aussie so much. As well as keeping true to avoiding tourists, alone time at a hidden secret of Litchfield for lunch and avoiding the masses at Florence falls after getting that photo to find a truely serene special waterhole of which it's energy will stay with me forever. If you are someone who is happy to tick boxes, take that photo with dozens of other tourists choose another company. If you are like me and want to connect and truely experience the beauty, preciousness and richness of this spiritual land and its people, coming away with a greater respect, understanding and invaluable memories Ethical Adventures is your only option for all your tours in the top end.

        Colours of Kakadu 2days
We had the privilege of spending 2 days learning about, and discovering the beauty and history of Kakadu. Nalani, our driver and guide, shared her knowledge & love of Kakadu. Our cruise along East Alligator River was very informative. The Sunrise Cruise on the Yellow Waters produced the delights of seeing 2 barking owls, water buffaloes, and many varieties of bird life. A very enthusiastic guide. The highlight was seeing 4 crocodiles!! We were shown rock art as well. So much to learn and see and enjoy!! The care, meals, overnight accommodation and our guide are highly recommended. 2 full days we highly recommend! It’s a long way from Darwin to Kakadu!

This wet season day trip from Darwin was an ideal experience in every way for my two teen children and I. Litchfield National Park is a must see, offering a beautifully interesting slice of the NT, only a 90-minute drive from the city. Rob, our guide and the proud owner of this terrific business, was a joy to spend time with. He managed to make each of us feel individually respected and considered, and expertly tailored our experiences in the National Park. We were both comfortable and challenged, invigorated and relaxed, amused and enthralled. Not to mention very well fed and hydrated. Absolutely worth every cent and second!

Pickup time at my (unlisted) hotel was clearly comminicated both by phone call and text message.
Pickup then proceeded smoothly and proved to be a good start to a great day. Driver and guide Carl was very friendly and entertained us throughout the day with both information about our immediate surroundings as well as interesting bits about Darwin in general. He provided warm muffins for morning tea and even cold towels for cooling down during the afternoon when temperatures rose to 37°C.
Time available at the various stopping points is of course limited but adequate for a look around and taking pictures or a bit of a swim followed by a snack or drink before driving to the next spot to enjoy.
Lunch was excellent, well prepared and plentiful.
Time spent at the last stop Wangi Falls was longer so a swim in the lake could be enjoyed to the full.
In all a great and recommendable tour.

If you’re wanting a premium day tour of the Litchfield area, this is the tour to go on. The small group size means that it’s personal and personalised in a way that’s not possible for larger tour groups, and the guide has a number of tricks up their sleeve to get to the best areas while avoiding crowds. Speaking of the guide, our guide Rob was friendly, knowledgeable, passionate, articulate and helpful. This is eco-touring at its very best — highly recommended!

All of our communications, questions and requests were professionally handled by both Rob and Tracey.
We were drawn to Ethical adventures initially through the name and after reading the trip advisor reviews on their tours, our decision was easily made.
Small group tours are our preferred mode and this itinerary ticked the boxes.
Picked up on time at 700am and returned around 430ish, it was a very satisfying day in the Litchfield National Park.
Rob was an experienced and knowledgeable guide and owner, very easy to relate to and listen to.
The home made mango muffins for morning tea, the very filling and beautiful salad for lunch and Anzac biscuits and iced tea in the pm were all delicious.
Our two swims were really enjoyable and unfortunately due to the possibility of a croc and high water levels, we couldn’t do the third waterfall swim.
Little things like iced towels provided after a walk , ample cold water available and only 10 people on the bus made this a very enjoyable tour, one I highly recommend to those looking for something a bit special.
Call Rob or Tracey direct and they will ensure your tour to Litchfield or Kakadu is a memorable one
      Thanks guys

One helluva good day... so much so that we've just booked to do both the Katherine Gorge and Kakadu tours with Ethical Adventures before we leave the top end.
Rob was so knowledgeable and very entertaining and Tracey's food was without a doubt the best "tour" food we've ever had (and we've done this sort of thing in many places around the world). Also great snacks and surprise treats along the way. You will NOT go hungry, trust me.
Communication leading up to our tour was fantastic. The vehicle was actually very comfortable. Max of 10 people made for a nice, personal experience.
Overall a real quality tour and we highly recommend it 😁

What an awesome way to start the tour. Swimming at Berry Springs. Seeing wildlife and plenty of fish. Our guide Daz made the experience even better with his knowledge of Litchfield and his regular dad jokes. He also went above and beyond for our anniversary by singing an Elvis song.
Due to the smaller number of guests, it allowed more time and less rush to return to the bus. The stops were perfect by making sure we went to less crowded areas. I could rave on about the whole day but I think it’s something I recommend highly to do yourself.
Thanks for a great day of memories👍🏼

If I could, I’d add an extra star to this tour. It lived up to my expectations totally. Rob curates the experiences perfectly based on the day and the people on the bus. He kept up the conversation as we drove out of Darwin providing interesting information. He helped the 8 of us (3 couples, 2 solo) to get to know each other. He has such amazing knowledge of the area - flora, fauna, history, what can be done and when the best time is to do it to avoid the crowds. I would imagine you could do the same Ethical Adventures Tour several times and have a different positive experience each time. Would have loved a few more swims but knew before I booked that April is still a bit off season. Not all swimming areas had been checked by park rangers.

Our guide for the day, Nelani, was fantastic - so knowledgeable and passionate about the area and its flora and fauna. We got to see all the main scenic spots (Wangi, Florence, Tolmer etc), and went to a stunning, quiet and croc safe spot for some swimming and the most delicious lunch. The care the team took to ensure dietary requirements (and even dietary preferences for kids) were met was phenomenal. Also loved the flexibility of the tour which meant people could decide if they wanted to do optional walks (which we did). Would definitely recommend !

The Lichfield Park day tour provided by owner-operators Rob and Tracey was fantastic from start to finish. It was informative, immersive and thought-provoking. An opportunity to experience the diversity and natural wonders of the park, such as swimming at Florence Falls, is too good to miss. The homemade treats of mango muffins and Anzac biscuits were delicious, particularly appreciated by a self-appointed Anzac biscuit connoisseur. This tour was the highlight of our first visit to the NT. Caro & Tony, Fremantle, Western Australia

This was one of the best day tours I have ever done. The crew at Ethical Adventures go that extra mile to provide a first class, well planned and enjoyable experience. They really seem to care about their passengers. The vehicle was comfortable and the food was so delicious. Steve, our guide looked after us well. He was friendly and professional, and had an extensive knowledge of the area's history and environment. Thanks to Steve we also managed to keep ahead of the crowds at the swimming spots. One of the bonuses of travelling in a small group.
Litchfield is a truly beautiful place - loved the waterfalls, the views, the walks and the peace.
Compared to other destinations it is relatively close to Darwin so we were back by 4.30pm in time to be dropped off at the Mindle Markets. (thanks Steve!)
      ... an amazing day.
