Highlights
Visit two national parks in one day—Mt Tamborine and Springbrook
Spot pademelons and goannas on a guided bushwalk
See glittering glow-worms at the Cedar Creek caves
Round-trip transport by air-conditioned vehicle from Brisbane
What to expect
Your day starts with morning pickup at Brisbane Transit Centre and a scenic drive through Numinbah Valley with views of Mt Tamborine. Approximately 62 miles (100 km) south of Brisbane, you reach Springbrook National Park, which lies within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage area. Follow your guide on a hike that takes you into the rainforest and past waterfalls in this lush landscape. Hear about the region’s diverse wildlife, which includes more than 1,700 species of flowering plants and 500 vertebrate animals. Keep an eye out for pademelons (similar to wallabies), goannas, Australian water dragons and Australian brush-turkeys. Near the arched rock of Natural Bridge, you can see Cave Creek waterfall as it plunges into a pool below as well as a cave with glow worms, which resemble tiny stars on the cave walls. Be on the lookout for Australian wildlife such as rosellas, king parrots, bowerbirds and kangaroos. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Tamorine Mountain Glow Worm Caves at Cedar Creek, for your final rainforest walk of the day. See an audio-visual display on glow worms, whose brilliant blue-green lights are actually emitted by the tiny larvae of a fungus fly. Step inside the second cave filled with thousands of glowing worms! Stroll along the Curtis Falls track, a moderately challenging 1-mile (1.6-km) trail that includes 101 steps. Descend beneath towering gum trees to the viewing platform over Curtis Creek, then continue down to a second platform overlooking a waterfall that cascades into a large rock pool. After the drive back to Brisbane, you're dropped off at your original departure point.

Wonderful natural experience
Jan 2021 • Solo
Great experience with lots of naturally beautiful scenery. Although it rained it didn’t really interfere with the experience and the tour guide has back up plans. Lots of learnings taught by the guide the entire trip.
Plenty of amenities along the way. Highly recommend.

Hi, Thank you for taking the time to Review the tour you went on with us. It is always a pity when it rains but if it doesn't rain sometimes we wouldn't have rainforests! Our guides are experienced working with rainy weather. On the plus side, rainforests always look their best when there has been rain. We appreciate your rating and recommendation. Hi, Thank you for Review. Your heading "Full of Water"is interesting given that I have just responded to another Review (perhaps fake) that said there was no water! I am very happy that you enjoyed the Tour. During this downtime we will be reviewing all our Tours to see how we can make improvements to timing, routes, etc. Again appreciate your Review. regards Jo-Anne

No water to be seen
Jan 2020
We paid for the walk, to only find dry creek beds, it would have been appreciated to have been told this before hand and allowed us the option to continue or not.

Hi, We did not operate any tour to Tamborine or Springbrook when the creeks and the falls you see during our National Park walks were "dry creek beds". Yes, late last year we were at the end of a long drought and the creeks were not flowing very much, but they never stopped and there was always water over the Falls. Perhaps you confused our Tour with something else as there is more to it than a "walk" and you certainly wouldn't have just found "dry creek beds". However it has been raining regularly and the creeks are flowing and there is plenty of water over the Falls. I am not sure when you could have gone on this tour as there was more rain in February than we get in a normal year! We monitor all tours closely to ensure guest are getting what they have paid for. Your Review doesn't make sense. Regards Jo-Anne

Hi, Thank you for your review. Always reassuring that even in the dry conditions our guests understand and still rate the tour 5 stars. There has been some rain in the area over the last couple of days and we are expecting it to rain several days this week. The forest, birds and animals responds quickly to a little rain. Lets hope there is a lot more in the coming months! Regards Jo-Anne
