About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Margie D0 contributionsA great day away from the CityThis nature tour was a wonderful private tour. Just the two of us and Anita, the owner of the company. She was fantastic. She gave us a wonderful outdoor nature experience out in the wetlands of the mangroves where we also saw several wild kangaroos roaming around. Experienced a couple of them hoping off really fast in front of us. So cool. She also gave us an education on the flora and fauna on our walk. Saw an Osprey nest with a live camera on their chick at the Osprey Center and learned a lot about these birds from the docents who volunteer there. Lunch was wonderful near the water along the coast. I highly recommend doing this tour with Anita. She used to be a park ranger.Written 28 October 2024
- 83yuie0 contributionsThis is a must for private tours for couples and married couples!I had been to Moreton Island before and enjoyed the Australian islands, so I signed up for this tour because I wanted to visit a different island. I was wondering what a private tour would be like, but it turned out to be an amazing experience, even better than I had imagined! First, our tour guide, Anita, picked us up at our hotel in the morning and drove politely with us throughout. I was so busy right up until the last minute that I didn't have enough time to research the island trip, but I didn't need to worry, Anita took us to many wonderful places! The view from the North Gorge Walk was especially spectacular and beautiful and seemed to make me forget about time! We were lucky enough to see a school of whales, a school of dolphins, and a turtle swimming gracefully. We enjoyed talking with Anita during our trip and had a relaxing lunch break. We also encountered koalas and kangaroos in the wild, making this a truly Australian trip! The most impressive part of the trip was Brown Lake. The leaves of tea trees and other plants change the color of the water in a fantastic way, and I was impressed by this beautiful sight that cannot be seen anywhere else. I decided that I wanted to spend more time on this island and would definitely revisit it again with my husband!! Anita told us many stories all the way back to the hotel after getting off the ferry. We had an exciting day exploring the island, looking for koalas together and discovering iguanas amidst the beautiful sights. I highly recommend this tour, especially for couples who want to enjoy a relaxing and private trip, or for those who want to enjoy Australia's natural beauty by leaving the entire tour to an experienced guide! Thank you Anita for a wonderful day. I look forward to seeing you again somewhere!Written 23 October 2024
- jiananz20240 contributionsGreat tour & Great experience~There was a bit of rain at the beginning of the trip, The rainforest displays its unique nature; the smell of the muddy earth, the fresh air, and the beautiful landscape and wildlife, too. After the rain stopped, the sun came out and the sky was clear, which made west window views towards the distance amazing also. Overall, it was a great experience.Written 7 March 2024
- expiallyd0 contributionsFantastic day tour for nature-lovers!We had a truly amazing day with Brisbane Nature Tours. Anita picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the ferry -- scenic ride over to North Stradbroke Island. Highlight was the North Gorge walk, with spectacular views of the ocean and the gorge. We saw manta rays, turtles, dolphins, and some interesting birds. Another great stop was at Brown Lake -- it should really be called Rainbow Lake because of the beautiful coloration of the water due to tannins from the tea trees around it. We also saw a koala, some kangaroos, and a monitor lizard at various points in the day and we stopped for a delicious lunch. Because this is a private tour, Anita gave us a a few choices about lunch location and which stops to spend more time at. Her vehicle is clean and very comfortable and Anita was a knowledgeable guide. Can't say enough good things about this tour. (See also pictures posted with this review.)Written 29 February 2024
- Carlos P0 contributionsAn amazing day tripAnita is an excellent guide and a very pleasant company. She took care of us the whole day, guiding us through beautiful landscapes and dynamic ecosystems where the iconic Australian fauna is there to be observed and photographed 😊: Kangaroo, Koala, birds like the Osprey just to mention one, iguanas, abundant sea life we could see enjoying the transparent waters in the coastline, turtles, dolphins, rays…. The walks and the beautiful lake swim are also experiences we will remember fondly. We surely recommend this excellent tour. Carlos and JeanWritten 5 February 2024
- NorthStar010024191720 contributionsBirthday Adventure in BrisbaneAnita picked us up from our hotel, and took us on a personal adventure through Mt Gorgeous. She was knowledgeable and made the trip interactive. We loved how considerate she was with bringing us cakes and tea for my brothers birthday. Highly recommended to create some great memories!Written 1 November 2023
- clairebi620 contributionsFantastic private nature tripAn amazing day in the company of a knowledgeable professional, Anita knows the area, the wildlife and the history really well! We saw many kangaroos, birds of prey and learned about the mangroves - we even had the unexpected pleasure of watching a koala snoozing up a tree! We followed trails through the beautiful Tinchi Tamba wetlands marvelling at the huge termite nests clad to trees and used in harmony by birds. This was followed by a visit to the Osprey house, where George is currently busy fending off the crows and keeping his 3 chicks safe - what a wonderful sight! The day was rounded off with a visit to the shore at Morton Bay, nearby beaches and shipwreck. This private trip was great value for money, if you enjoy wildlife and learning about local areas this is the trip for you!Written 6 August 2023
- craigkV9985GU0 contributionsMagnificent private tourI could not believe that this was a private tour with just Anita. When she picked us up from our hotel I thought we were going to meet a bus with a larger group. But no, it was just the three of us. We had such a wonderful experience, kangaroos, whales, turtles, eagles and birds just to mention some of what we saw. All in all, we had such a wonderful day and Anita even drops us in the Brisbane CBD so we could have a few collies and a nice meal in the city. Do your self a favour and use Anita for only two or three people, she makes four, how private is that. Highly recommend 👍Written 1 August 2023
- garylX3050YV0 contributionsGreat rainforest trip with Anita!Anita gave us a wonderful tour of the Maiala Rainforest. She was very knowledgeable but also respectful of times of silence in this iconic forest. We walked at a comfortable pace for us and enjoyed the plants, fungi, and animals of the forest. She was also careful to create a safe environment for all. This was a great trip and guide!Written 6 June 2023
- davidgO8731IY0 contributionsMaiala Rainforest Tour - highly recommendedAnita of Brisbane Nature Tours took the two of us on a hiking tour into the Maiala Rainforest. Situated in the D'Aguilar National Park some 1.5h west of Brisbane, this un-spoilt bush remnant with its impressive flora and abundant bird life is a delight and well worth a day visit. Anita collected us from our hotel and provided an informative and thought-provoking discussion on the journey and while walking the forest tracks, returning us 9 hours later. Especially amazed at the diversity of bird life seen. A thoroughly enjoyable ecological adventure - highly recommended.Written 29 April 2023
- M B0 contributionsBrisbane wildlife tourThis was a top notch experience. Anita picked us up at our door, the travel accommodations were comfortable, and Anita was knowledgeable and passionate about the Australian wildlife and ecosystems. I can’t believe how much was included in this tour, and it was private to boot. Highly recommend - she will customize to your needs to ensure you have an enjoyable day.Written 12 April 2023
- matt h0 contributionsThe ideal trip to see the maiala rainforest!!Not only is Anita knowledgeable, extremely easy going, but it is apparent just how passionate about nature and the area she truly is. I was contacted directly prior to the trip outlining all the information I needed which helped set the tone from that point forwards. It is evident that Anita's priority is offering a fantastic experience and is able and willing to provide this. From the immediate convenience of being picked up from my hotel the day progresses smoothly and without fault; the friendly conversation on the drive, all of the imparted knowledge of both flora and fauna, provided tea and coffee during our break, and then offered options for the second half of the trip. Then a smooth drive home back to my hotel door. A personal, one of a kind trip not to be missed for sure!Written 15 September 2022
- lovetreatyourself0 contributionsAmazing wildlife experienceAmazing tour with Anita. She was very responsive before the tour and knowledgeable about the wildlife and landscape you see in stradbroke. Thanks to her we saw Kangaroos carrying their joey, whales breaching, groups of dolphins, turtles, Kualas. Would definitely recommend doing a tour with her!Written 14 June 2022
- I4129CVemmah0 contributionsBeautiful nature daySuch a great day out. Anita went at my pace for the day and answered all my questions, some of which were fairly abstract! Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.Written 30 May 2022
- G8907NQsandraf0 contributionsAmazingThis tour was amazing. Anita picked me up at my hotel and took care of everything. She is well versed in the island history, culture and biology and I learned a tremendous amount. The views of the ocean were spectacular and saw lots of birds and wildlife. I have a bad ankle and she let me go at my pace and made sure I was comfortable. I highly recommend this tour and any other from this company. Wish I was here longer to experience more of them.Written 29 April 2022
