Overview
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the best places on earth for snorkeling and scuba diving. This tour offers options for all ages and abilities, making it ideal for groups or families who don’t want to all do the same thing. Cruise out to the Outer Reefs, where you can choose to snorkel, take an introductory scuba dive, or enjoy up to three certified dives.
What to Expect
Make your way to the marina in Cairns to meet your guide and board the high-speed custom-built boat. Admire the views from deck and enjoy morning tea as you sail across the Coral Sea to explore the more remote Outer Reefs.

During the tour, visit three different dive sites, where you can swim and snorkel amid the vibrant coral gardens, try an introductory scuba dive accompanied by an expert instructor, or explore some of the deeper dive spots (certified divers only), depending on the tour option selected.

Along the way, look out for tropical fish, marine life, and colorful coral formations, and learn more about the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and its unique ecosystems from the crew. In between, relax on deck and take in the scenery as you tuck into a delicious buffet lunch.

Afternoon tea is also served on board as you sail back to Cairns.

It was a pleasure to dive and snorkel with TUSA. It’s a smaller boat which makes it more manageable and comfortable. The staff were so amazing and helpful. They helped the beginners who were anxious and also great for experienced divers. The first dive was...More

Great crew and trip

Had a great time diving with Tusa yesterday on the reef. Booked three dives and enjoyed each one. The vessel is great, the staff are fabulous, and the buffet lunch was also startlingly good quality. My only consideration? The dive area can get very busy...More

Tusa is back around 4pm and a short walk from the cruise ship terminal. All snorkelling gear is provided and underwater cameras can be hired on the boat. It is a great day out.

They told us they have about 15 different sites which they rotate around, as well as taking account of the weather - and go to 2 sites on one day. We went on 2 consecutive days, so spoke to the captain who made sure the boat... More
