      Not to be missed !
What a wonderful experience ! Both Rob and his assistant Talyeh were fantastic ! All was so informative and professional with an awesome lunch - the prawns so fresh and tasty . I particularly appreciated being able to sit outside and see a dolphin while enjoying my lunch . A trip not to miss when in Port Douglas ! Thank you

Lunch on the Shaolin is a must do.
We both loved the Lunch Trip. Both the Staff were ripping people and informative and fun. A great day with lovely food and company and we both left with delightful memories of a most enjoyable couple of hours in a unique boat on a beautiful stretch of water. Highly recommended.

What a pleasant couple of hours on the water
We had a great afternoon on the Shaolin. Brae and the Captain were fantastic hosts - very informative, funny, great food and drinks, and a super relaxing trip on the water. Overall it was such a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours. Highly recommended.

      Unique cruise around Port Douglas
We've just had the most relaxing yet interesting cruise on an authentic junk, which has an unbelievable history. The food was wonderful... barra and croc spring rolls followed by Tiger prawns......and the crew treated us like friends rather than customers.

      Recommend the junk tour
A very pleasant experience in Port Douglas. Great crew and a very relaxing trip up the inlet due to rough sea on the day (appreciated). Lunch is generous, I do recommend this tour.

      Great afternoon
This is a great afternoon sail. We booked this a couple of months before because of the great reviews. We enjoyed every moment and our captain and hostess were both so informative and interesting. Our lunch was delicious and the prawns were straight from the trawler. Some of the best we’ve had. I don’t write many reviews but this one was outstanding. Thoroughly recommend this seafood luncheon.

Shaolin and Low Isles snorkelling rocks!
This was the 3rd time we have taken the Shaolin to go snorkeling at Low Isles off Port Douglas. It is the best day our for young and old. You mosey out to the Low Isles with a small number of other passengers taking about 75 minutes and well cared for by the captain and 2 crew members. Take in the great vistas and chilled vibes of the Shaolin. The snorkeling at Low Isles I rate having snorkelled in multiple places on the reef over the years. This trip we saw it all: swam with the turtles and a school of travelli; saw amazing colouful fish and coral and clam shells of all shapes and sizes; saw harmless reef sharks; and much more. The snorkeling gear provided by the Shaolin is top notch as are the tips, advice and tour to see the most. Morning tea is provided after about an hour of snokelling and then back into the water for some more snorkeling (you can also take a short tour of the island courtesy of the knowledgeable captain). A great lunch is provided back on the Shalin at 2 pm after which you return to Port Douglas totally relaxed. Highly recommended, great day for families too!

We had a wonderful lunch cruise, the food was delicious and the crew great. We enjoyed chatting to the other guests. And thank you Taylor for the great photos of me attempting to get to the front of the boat.

We booked the sunset cruise for 23 April but bad weather caused the rescheduling of cruise to one that went up river than out into the bay due to 30 knot winds. While not what we booked the cruise was interesting and the Captain certainly had tales to tell and knew a lot about the wildlife and birds on the river. A complimentary drinks and hot and cold nibbles are included in the price. Best aspect of our trip was sailing on an authentic Chinese junk

The cruise in it's entirety was a great experience. The Captain his knowledge of the Port Douglas area, ecology and history was incredible and we received an unexpected tour guide experience as well as the Sunset cruise. Highly recommend, a more unique vessel to experience the Sunset than others available in the area. Even on a day with choppy seas and an over cast sky the captain repositioned the boat to give everyone the best experience.

Despite the heavy rain and having to sail up the estuary we still loved our sunset cruise. The staff are so friendly and provide loads of interesting facts about the history of the boat and local area. Definitely worth adding to your ‘to do list ’ list whilst you are in Port Douglas.

Although it was too cloudy and the ocean too rough on the day, our sunset cruise was still worth it, sailing slowly in the inlet. It was fun meeting the friendly crew and hearing about the history of the 'junk'. There was a great bunch of people on the boat who all got along sharing drinks and canapes. Would recommend as a must do when in Port Douglas.

When u book a sunset sail boat trip you never know what the weather will be like - unfortunately it was but windy and overcast for us. However the captain looked after us and took us to calm waters. We purchased extra drinks at a reasonable price of $7 each. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our drinks and nibbles! Lovely way to end our last day in the beautiful town of Port Douglas 😊

This trip was great value for money, especially considering the price. Jade and Robbie (I think this was the captain's name!) were incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the ship and the surrounding area. Things were super choppy out at sea so we didn't stay out there for long and instead did a longer estuary cruise, which was equally informative. The finger food was great, basically an entree before going out for dinner afterwards, and they catered for vegetarians, and they took time to check on the people in our group who experience seasickness. We sat on cushions on the deck above the cabin. It was pretty cool walking along the outside edge of the ship to get to the cabin while we were sailing. The experience was great. So glad we took the chance to do this.

My husband and I did this cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
The captain and crew were absolutely amazing from the very first moment to the last. Nothing was too much trouble they were very attentive to everyone. The canapés were good, the beer great and the wine was perfect. I loved that it was a small group and we got to strike up a conversation with 2 young couples who were an absolute delight.
I recommend this to anyone who wants something a little bit different. Well worth the cost.

Pleasant trip had complimentary drinks and snacks and the commentary was very informative about the area and the history of the boat. It was meant to be a sunset tour but arrived back in Port Douglas before sunset, it would not have mattered on this particular day as it was overcast and you would not have seen the sun set anyway but just be aware when booking. Back at Port Douglas Marine at 630pm when sunset was 642pm.

Unbeatable for the price, the boat, skipper and crew all fantastic. I would have paid the money just to seat and listen to the skipper, his knowledge of the history of the boat and surrounding waters and marina was brilliant. Food and drink just what you need for the time you're out there. Great trip

Although the weather wasn’t great (nobody can control that!) the crew made the experience memorable for all the right reasons.
Taking us up the inlet was actually brilliant, very calming and a great way to end a day.
Informative and entertaining crew who made us all feel very welcome and comfortable.
Will definitely do again when we’re back up next year!
