Was exactly as we expected, kids really did love it. Was nice to see some of the sights from the water. Get there early if you are a family and want to sit together, unfortunately we arrived 20 mins before our trip and had to sit at opposite ends of the boat. There is also a voucher in one of the free tourist mags that gets one of the kids a hat or umbrella.

We booked this on the day that we were hoping to have a tour. The driver and his guide were friendly and knowledgable and pointed out lots of things to do that we hadn't found or been to before. It was exciting ploughing into the water! The loud horn quacking was a bit of fun and turned lots of heads but our kids were happy to wave back and call hello to other tourists. We were able to sit together but the five of us were in the front of the queue.

I found this tour enjoyable. The ride was smooth. I felt as though the crew were relaxed and friendly. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience a land and water tour on the Gold Coast.

As a family of two adults and two teenage children we booked ahead for this tour. It was a full load and we were forced to sit across three seperate seats as clearly there is not allocated seating or anyone arranging seats. As a result my son and I sat at the front together. My wife sat with a stranger mid bus and my daughter was forced to sit on her own next to a strange male at the rear of the bus. At least I could talk to my son whilst my daughter and wife had to sit without any interaction with anyone else. The fact that we had to sit in such away absolutely wrecked the experience. The company really couldn’t care less whilst they are filling seats so I would suggest to either turn up early or expect a similar experience. For the price it really should be allocated seating.

No allocated seats so as everyone pushed on we last to get on. One seat at the front and one seat at the very back. This ruined the experience from the get go. Commentary was unaudible from both Nick and Jackie. They were untrained in knowing how to use the equipment. Kids climbing all over my wife who was sitting at the front to get their free duck tattoos on a moving bus, should Jackie not be getting up and approaching the children in their seats in the interests of safety. Don’t bother it’s a Complete waste of money.

Hello Chrisi Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback on your experience with us. We do use this information to review our operations. We are disappointed that you did not get from our tours what so many others do. We do endeavor to have everyone one seated in their preferred seating location. However on an occasion when we are busy and the bus is fully booked and where we have a couple last on board, where we are unable to rearrange the seating of passengers on board then we are not always able to accomplish this. Jackie often at the start of the tours asks the passengers is everyone able to hear her. She must have not done so on your tour. The Mic volumes are adjustable. We do ask passengers to remain seated on the road but on the water and cruising at only 5 knots it is an opportunity for the kids to get out of their seats and walk to the front of the vehicle. We do not consider this a safety issue whist on the water. Thanks again for your feedback.

Disappointing. We booked at booking desk yesterday. I turned up today to be told the bus is full- no others were expected. I gave our full name and it wasn’t on the list! I ran to the other tour company, confused as to why I would be so wrong when I was here yesterday.
My husband was parking. He turned up at the same tour desk (while I was still running to Aqua Duck), only to be also told the bus is full. He then showed the attending lady the email ticket. She found his name. Too late- we had missed the bus (as I went running to Aqua Duck). Turns out, his name was misspelt at the time of the booking, which was why we were told we weren’t on their booking. She offered to rebook for another day. We asked for a refund as we have other plans on that day.
Disappointing that errors were made so many times- both of us to be told that the bus is full and they weren’t expecting any others. And getting the name wrong, telling us (separately, as we approached the tour desk separately, as he parked the car) that we weren’t booked for the tour, which sent me on a 10 min run to the other company which runs a similar tour. Disappointing in missing out, and in the errors made by the lady who took the booking. The same lady took the booking yesterday, served us today and made the errors. At no point did she admit to the errors or apologise.

Hamish and Jacquie were great tour guides. Very informative for both land and water. Best part was turning a bus into a boat. Hints..Bring a jumper or jacket that wind can get cold. And for courtesy reasons to other travellers get there on time.

Really enjoyed this. Went along with four 50+yo mates and loved it. Great value at $45pp. Informative and friendly service. Will do again next trip to Qld. Only tip would be not to sell quack whistles to passengers until closer to the end of the trip. The quacking wears thin.

Terrible service. Booked online fully paid, confirmed at the reception deck on the early morning. When we start on the board, told us tickets not available, we need paid again. Already received two confirmation email before we get on the board.

Much more interesting and fun than I thought it might be. Even with my old, jaded senses it was still exciting to go from land to water. Treats for the little kids, souvenirs to buy on board and the hostess offering to take photos with your own phone, were appreciated extras. (Although the novelty quacking whistles got annoying very quickly. 😆)
Interesting commentary from the driver mixed in with some dad jokes topped of a pleasant way to spend an hour.
