Zip along dirt tracks, splash through muddy trails and venture off-road on this exhilarating quad bike tour of Kangaroo Island. See the rugged Aussie bushlands from the back of your easy-to-drive ATV as you follow your guide on one of four different itineraries ranging from 1.5 hours to 3 hours Choose to visit pristine beaches and spectacular viewpoints; challenge yourself on sand and gravel tracks; or soak up the scenery on a sunset tour.  Best of all: there’s no experience or license necessary so the whole family can take part.
What to Expect
On this adventurous ATV tour, discover Kangaroo Island as you navigate a wide variety of terrain within some 500 acres (202 hectares) of open grassland and pristine native bush. It doesn't matter if you're a first-timer or an experienced rider; guides tailor the ride to the conditions and your ability. Even if it’s raining, wet weather gear is provided along with a chance to get a lot of mud and puddle action.

As you zip along, hear informative commentary from your guide about the island and enjoy stunning views of the Southern Ocean and wildlife that may include kangaroos, koalas, echidnas, wallabies, goannas, birdlife and more.

All tours begin by equipping each person with the provided safety gear followed by a comprehensive safety talk. Next, your guide explains how to operate the ATV safely and watches as each person takes laps on a practice track. After approximately 30 minutes of set up and practice, follow your guide as you set out for your tour, choosing from the options listed in the Itinerary below.

With a wide range of bikes suitable for all ages and abilities, riders as young as 6 years old can ride an ATV. No license is required, no previous experience is needed and the tour operator boasts an excellent safety record with the latest reliable and well maintained bikes from Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki.
Beach Adventure (3 hours):
This action-packed tour with 2.5 hours on the bike takes you to one of the top 100 surf beaches in Australia, which is only accessible on a narrow and rough track, a perfect challenge for an ATV aficionado. This adrenaline-fueled off-road adventure features a variety of terrain including trails that wind through native bush, open grassland and challenging rocky sections. Keep an eye out for sea eagles and ospreys as you cruise down to the beach. In the winter, you may even spot southern right whales during their annual migration. You even have time for a walk on this remote beach in the middle of nowhere, an ideal place to soak up spectacular views of the Southern Ocean.

All Terrain (2 hours):
If you want to experience a wide variety of terrain, this tour takes you through the twists and turns on open grassland, sand and gravel tracks and technical rocky sections. Enjoy 1.5 hours on the bike to hone your skills as you zip through scenic swathes of the island’s most fun ATV tracks.

Nature Tour (1.5 hours):
This introductory tour offers a comprehensive overview of ATV adventure that is perfect for first-time riders. As you follow your guide through a range of terrains including open grassland and native bush, your guide offers tips and encouragement to build your skills and increase your confidence all along the way. Children as young as six years old can ride on smaller-sized ATVs with the guides tailoring the instruction to their abilities. A great option for families.

Sunset Tour (2 hours):
Take the All Terrain tour and make it even better by finishing as the sun sets over Vivonne Bay. Bonus: you’re guaranteed to see kangaroos up close in their natural environment.

Our quad bike tour with Sam on Saturday was fantastic. His knowledge of the island was exceptional and his attentiveness to my 4 year old grandson was very much appreciated as he navigated our 7 seat buggy over rocky terrain. Thanks for making our trip...More

Sorry for the delay. Its a solid 1.5 hour drive, which is too late for you. Perhaps not the next person though.
