Get an overview of Phillip Island on this animal-focused tour leaving from Melbourne. Leave the logistics and navigation to your guide, and learn about Australia’s animals. See koalas at Moonlight Sanctuary Conservation Park, and stop at a local beach to witness fairy penguins waddle across the beach. Enjoy the convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off.
What to Expect
Start your adventure with pickup at your Melbourne hotel, and get settled in an air-conditioned minivan. Enjoy the scenery or take advantage of the onboard Wi-Fi.

At Brighton Beach, see famous, brightly colored beach boxes while your guide fills you in on the beach’s importance. Explore independently before continuing on to the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park where you’ll learn about Australian animals and conservation efforts.

See seal rocks and get views of the Nobbies on the southwestern coast. Be sure to have your camera ready for Australia’s largest fur seal colony, and learn about their biology and behavior from your guide.

Around dusk, head down to a local beach to see and learn about the day’s stars, fairy penguins (one of the world’s smallest penguins). Upgrade options are available for a more up-close penguin experience.

Relax on the ride back to Melbourne for drop-off.

Great experience

This ranger guided tour is the best way to see the penguins. Very informative commentary by a ranger throughout the walk to and from the special, close in viewing platform. Small bus with excellent guide on drive to Phillips Island.

If you live on Flinders Street, they will pick you up from the closest hotel (probably Rendezvous Hotel). It was just a short walk from where I stayed, near Elisabeth street on Flinders St.
