    What to Expect
Enjoy spectacular panoramic views with a ride on the Melbourne Star. Before you board, explore the multimedia Tales of Melbourne display at the base of the wheel for a historical introduction. Then, climb aboard one of 21 comfortable, air-conditioned passenger pods that hold up to 20 passengers each. As you rise up nearly 400 feet (120 meters), learn interesting facts about Melbourne’s history and the sights below from a recorded narrator.
Throughout the 30-minute ride, spot Melbourne attractions like Etihad Stadium and Flemington Racecourse, plus natural landmarks like the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Mount Macedon and the Dandenong Ranges.
A nighttime ride features a dazzling light show courtesy of the millions of LED bulbs that decorate the Ferris wheel. Brightly colored patterns radiate throughout the star and rim of the steel structure for a constantly changing digital display. To experience the Melbourne Star by day and night, upgrade to the encore package for a discounted return entrance within 30 days.

The wheel offered some great views of Melbourne and the 30 minute ride provides some great information about the city. It is conveniently located in the docklands which is full of places to eat and shop before or after your wheel experience.
