The great ocean road expereince was awesome. Simon C was our tour guide and had a lot of knowledge regarding the area. We started out at 7:15 am on a comfortable 39 passenger bus. We stopped at several places along the Ocean road. One little town we stopped in for lunch was Apollo Bay at a fish and chips establishment. The food was good but it took a while for us to get out food. We only had an hour time for lunch and the restaurant we went to took 35 min. We were able to see Koalas in the wild which was amazing. The once we got to the 12 Apotles other than the flies it was a beautiful memrable trip. We returned going through colac and hearing about the farmning and logging industry. Over all a great trip and is well worth doing. The bus was compforatable for the 12 hour excursion.

I enjoyed this day so much. Even though there is a lot of driving, all the activities really broke it up great. Sylvain was a great guide and really made the most of the day for us after we discovered the 12 apostles lookout was closed. We had the opportunity to do the helicopter tour instead and were able to spend extra time at the other stops. Everything was beautiful, even when it was raining. Highly recommend.

We did the Ocean Road trip in reverse, and a picnic lunch was included.
We were fortunate to have LEON Dark as our driver and guide. He was fantastic, knowledgable and willing to go the extra mile to give his passengers a great day.
This is a must do tour, to experience the Great Ocean Road, and if you are lucky like us, you might see kangaroos and koalas, parrots and cockatiels in the wild.

A truly memorable day.

There were never 12 apostles and a couple have fallen into the sea.Notwithstanding that we saw beautiful scenery on our journey along with a koala spotting stop. The driver and coach were good but on reflection perhaps we should have visited museums in Melbourne

The so called coach bus is horrible. Absolutely no leg room and 2 people are expected to sit in a side while the seats can hardly accomodate 1 person. Extremely congested road trip through winding roads. And also remember the fact that you have to travel 14 hours in this bus. Time spend unnecessarily at rainforest and coffee point. Instead the operator should focus on key attractions only.

Never do this trip with Wildlife tours Australia especially if you have family and kids accompanying you. There are many other operators having a full tour bus.

We only had 1 day to see this and with time change/ jet lag/ other side of road..we decided to book a tour even thought we hate group tours...this was fine.
Picked up on time at Pegasus hotel in small van(21) pax
And returned at 7:30 pm as scheduled.
It is a long day with stops but all was done in a timely fashion with enough time to see everything
Paddy our driver was very informative and enjoyable..we booked thru sightseeing tours but ended up in a wildlife tour van

A great day touring the great ocean road. We had a lovely tour guide (I cannot remember her name I’m really sorry) who provided lots of facts about the certain places we went through. We got to do the tour in reverse and saw the Twelve Apostles first as well as the Loch Are Gorge. The Otway forest walk is a little underwhelming as there’s not much to see and then we went to Kennett River where we tried to spot Koalas and there was only one so there wasn’t much to see there either. It is a very long day going from 7am - 7pm but it is something to tick off the bucket list and overall it was a great day.

Hi Daniel, and thank you for your review! We are glad you enjoyed your day at the Great Ocean Road, despite the Koala's being a bit shy on the day you were out there. We wish you happy travels in Australia!

It was so nice to visit to the Twelve Apostles and Loch Ard Gorge! They are amazing and magnificent. It was a long journey with multiple check points but it is worth going. It was a great experience to drive through the Great Ocean Road and appreciate the wonderful scenery and learn about its history. Melissa is very friendly and amazing. She shared with us her thoughts and useful information. Lovely to have Melissa as our tour guide who’s passionate about the nature and wildlife.

I had a lot of doubts about taking this tour, because of it being long (14 hours). In the end I did it and it was worth it.

First, our guide/driver from Autopia, Carla, vas great.
Apart from the information (including geography, history and even "aboriginal creation stories"), she was fun and really well organized. Things like warning us that on the next stop(s) there would be or not toilet facilities, or coffe, or whatever, can make a difference. Thanks, Carla!
The bus (20-something seats) was not too fancy, but it did the work.
The trip itself:
Hotel pickup and drop off was on time and without any problem.
We have a stop for a morning tea at Anglesea, with a little time to go to the nearby beach.
Then we hit the road and could see the shoreline for a long time (we were not too lucky with the weather, with clouds and occasional rain), including a stop at the memorial arch on the road for a quick photo. It did not mean much to me "architecturally", other meanings aside.
The rainforest walk, including huge trees and ferns, was nice. Maybe a little "off topic" on a "beach tour", but I liked it. Another stop to watch wild koalas and A LOT of birdlife (king parrots, kockatoos, ...) was also nice.

And finally, the sea landscapes. Gibson's steps, the 12 Apostles and finally Loch Ard Gorge (my favourite).
Impressive. And we had quite enough time to visit each one, going down to the beaches on Gibson's and Lorch Ard. About 45 minutes each. I missed one trail on the last stop because I spent maybe too much on Loch Ard Gorge.
Then, about 3 hours ride back home (including a toilet and "leg stretching" stop :)).
