- OnAir171131065130 contributionsCruising Melbourne in style.Last year we came all the way from Sweden and wanted a relaxed day around Melbourne, enjoying nature, beaches, good food (plus wine and excellent coffee!) and perhaps some art as well. John took us on a beautiful trip around Mornington peninsula going to places like Torello farm, Monalto Vineyard (great wine tasting, outdoor art exhibition), Gunamatta beach etc. We (or rather the car) got many admiring looks from other people along the way, and riding in that beautiful car (love the sound of the motor), made this a fantastic and very relaxed day. Had a fantastic day out with the windows down and John at the wheel. We stopped in for a late morning snack at the Tooborac Hotel and Brewery and then meandered through the rolling hills to Kyneton for an afternoon pie at Monsieur Pierre. Can't think of a better way to get around.

Ah yes ... a day driving with the windows down is a good day. It was great cruising through that countryside ... and coming home with that comfy feeling of an artisan pie just had is always nice! Cheers, John.

The trip was so unique, and the best way to do a day trip of my travels around the world. I was able to customise the day visiting areas that typically a bus trip is unable to accommodate. The '56 Chevrolet is so brilliantly restored and stylish and makes for a memorable experience and great day out. I would do it again and highly recommend it to anyone.

John picked our group up on time and immediately suggested coffee! I knew I was going to enjoy the day with John. The car was immaculate and he had lots of stories about the car and the area. We stopped at some quirky places that John had suggested all good. Lunch was great at a small pub. The food was amazing teamed with some great local craft beers and wines from Victoria. I was glad that John was doing all the driving home! Would definitely recommend John for a memorable day out.

Radio Springs Hotel is definitely a quirky place to visit – just great that it combines such picturesque driving, great pub food, a good list of local drinks and some wild stories from behind the bar! Cheers, John.

John is a brilliant guide - an expert on the local terrain, history, lunch venues and art galleries (with a side of soothing jazz to boot)
