          Would highly recommend
We were reticent to book this trip because of the cost but are so glad we did book and go. The staff were amazing, food was as good as anywhere and the history and information we were given was an added bonus. We went on the history trip. We could see where the cost was. I have limited mobility but other than the island walks was able to do most things. Everyone was just so helpful and couldn't believe how the staff all just pulled together and helped without being asked. All so well organised. The rooms were comfortable and lovely hot showers, toilet worked well and the bed was comfortable.

The quality of this cruise was more than I expected. Bravo to a fantastic crew who worked together well as a team and cared for us perfectly. The food was amazing as was the history.

          Eco Abrolhos Shipwrecks Cruise
Unique part of Western Australian coastline, rich in history. Eco Abrolhos Shipwreck Cruise highly recommended. Well organised with wonderful flight (small plane) to East Wallaby Island followed by excellent cruise on the Eco Abrolhos. Multiple options on trip including fishing, snorkelling, glass bottom boat and island ventures. Excellent attentive crew led by skipper Bronson and supplemented by local historian/expert Howard Gray, whose knowledge of the area is unparalleled. Excellent facilities on the capacious boat, including food and beverages. Safety a priority at all times. Highly recommend this trip which was seamlessly organised by the company.

          Abrolhos islands 5 day cruise
Went on the 5 day WA seafood and wine tasting tour. We were lucky to have good weather, but apart from that, it was overall an amazing experience. The snorkelling was sensational, beautiful fish and coral at every stop, fishing was incredible, expert guide and assistance, nature and history walks on the islands fascinating. Meals on board were gourmet prepared to perfection by hard working chef and helpers. All guides and staff on board were incredible; friendly, knowledgable, caring, attentive, couldn't do enough to ensure all guests were catered to in spite of a variety of ages and capabilities. Can't speak highly enough of the experience and everyone from skipper to deck hands that made it one of the most special experiences of our lives.

Amazing , brilliant in always trip !!!
I recently had the most AMAZING experience aboard the Eco Abroholis on a 5 day 4 night adventure cruise of a lifetime !! The family run business with Sonia , Jay and Bronson and all the extended family and crew was planned with great care and attention to meticulous detail.. As a professional artist , I was gobsmacked at the incredible beauty of the islands.. both Jay and Bronson’s storytelling , with firsthand lived experience captivated all the guests over the 5 days . The food is mouth-wateringly spectacular and rivals any Michelin star restaurant anywhere in the world !!..the comfort on board and accomodation is superb … it was definately excellent value and a trip that I will personally be doing again …Ohhh and the crayfish , fishing and snorkeling … all AMAZING as well !!! Everything in abundance !! Thankyou Sonia and Jay , Brunson and crew ..you were all magnificent and your Eco sustainable footprint also brilliant !! I’ll be seeing you all again soon I hope !! Great Experience for Family with Teenagers
Great experience at the Abrolhos with Eco Abrolhos with two 16 year old boys. Activities organised from 8 am to 7 pm, we tried the fishing, pot pulls for crayfish and the different island walking tours, glass bottom boat and snorkelling experiences every day. Wildlife seen included sea lions, many sea birds, dolphins, humpback whales and a huge variety of fish and colourful corals. Food was great too and crew and fellow passengers were very friendly making for a very memorable trip. September was chilly in the water so reasonably thick wetsuits were definitely required to stay toasty so best to bring your own as the cruise wetsuits were fairly thin. Nevertheless the snorkel time was 30 mins to 45 mins so it was doable in the thinner wetsuits. Thanks to Captain Bronson, Jay and crew for their great service. Flights to and from the islands were great too as we avoided sea sickness and saw the islands from the air.

          An amazing experience!!
This was a most amazing experience. The crew was fantastic. Jay the skipper had so much knowledge and stories about the Abrolhos. We didn't realise how big the Abrolhos Islands were. The snorkeling spots were great. Food was delicious with plenty of choice. Even Easter Bunny came for a visit😊. We now have friends interested in going. Highly recommend doing this.

          A bucket list WA holiday
Great experience that lived up to the recommendation from our friends who were guests of Eco Abrolhos last year. The whole crew from Captain Jay to the deck hands could not be faulted, nothing was too much trouble. The long table lunch was one of the many highlights. Howard Gray's historical knowledge of the islands was impressive. If you are looking for a unique WA holiday experience Eco Abrolhos is recommended.

Beautiful exploration on a live aboard
Everything was taken care of…barely time to have lunch amongst the many experiences. We love snorkeling and we’re privileged to snorkel on the wreck of the Batavia, seeing canons and anchors from the ship beautifully grown over with red and yellow coral and alive with crayfish and reef fish. The Shore Leave long lunch was a bonus and we ate so much crayfish! We jumped in the water and had a lovely swim. Captain Jay Cox was very helpful and had a great wit as well as a confident manner. I would love to do it again!😊

          A complete Battavia experience!
Thanks Jay and your great crew. Had a lovely time with family and relatives from overseas. Long lunch @ Turtle Bay was a highlight, and we all enjoyed learning about the gruesome story of the Batavia shipwreck from Howard Grey. Some great snorkels, including a dive on the wreck site, and to top it off a couple of hours of fun and chaos at the Two Up out at West Wallaby island on Anzac day. Great trip.

Incredible 6 day Abrohlos Island cruise experience
We have just returned from an amazing 6 day Eco Abrohlos cruise that exceeded all our expectations. It was our first time to the islands and to be shown around by Jay and all the friendly and knowledgeable crew was very enjoyable. So much to see and do and the cruise offered all options such as fishing, snorkeling, pulling cray fish pots, and tours and insight into the local environment, capped off by a bonus long table lunch at Turtle Bay. We had the option to do exciting activities every day or just relax on the boat if we chose to. The food was incredible with fresh seafood and other selections at every meal. Historian and local expert Dr Howard Gray was on hand to offer walking and other tours every day, including incredible insights to the islands and the history of the Batavia shipwreck dating back to the 1600's. A must do cruise when in WA!

Eco Abrolhos 6 Day Adventure - First Class!
What a fantastic holiday experience! Skipper Jay and the magnificent crew both collectively and individually ensured a first-class holiday experience. Fishing, craypot pulling, snorkeling, glass bottom boats, island walks and history lessons (you can do as much, or as little as you wish), not to mention the first-class food, fresh caught daily by guests and so well prepared. Fortunate to have on this cruise Natural Historian Author and "Abrolhogist" Dr Howard Gray, who brought to life the savage history of the 1629 wreck of the Dutch vessel Batavia and its aftermath, as well as describing the abundant bird, animal and sea-life. Add to that fellowship of an evening with great company of friends old and new from all over Australia, a story or two from Jay bringing to life his many years of living and working the islands and you have the consummate holiday... added to by the annual Shore leave Festival Long Table Lunch... do yourself a favour!

An excellent cruise. Beautiful scenery with lots of waterfalls, swimming holes and crocodiles (not at the same time!), and gorgeous sunsets. Although it seemed expensive at the time, we felt this trip was worth every dollar. Our captain Grant participated in every outing (sometimes two or three in one day) and his knowledge and understanding of the region and aboriginal culture, plus personal anecdotes, brought it all to life. There were 29 passengers on board and everyone mingled; the atmosphere was relaxed, with bare feet, shorts and T shirts day and most nights. The food was terrific. The crew were friendly and enthusiastic. Could not fault a thing.

We loved our trip. We could not fault it in any way. Skipper Grant and every member of the crew went the extra mile to give everyone the best Kimberley experience possible.
We are so pleased we chose Eco Abrolhos. On most days we were in the tenders 2 or 3 times exploring rivers and going ashore. (but optional). It gave us a very intimate and thorough experience in this remarkable region of Australia. The cabins are not as luxurious as the larger cruise ships but are comfortable. It is not fine dining but the meals are wholesome , plenty of variety and often included the fresh fish and crabs we caught and even oysters on one occasion. We enjoyed the company of our fellow passengers and it was a very harmonious group. We would love to do this trip again one day .

We cruised early August 2022, Wyndham to Broome. The whole experience was so memorable. Every day is extraordinarily varied. The following day’s activities with various options, are communicated the evening before. The Skipper on our trip, Bronson, has planning around weather, tides, position & variables, always moving flexible. A whale up ahead, we stop & observe.
A small crew of very competent people, make a terrific team of knowledgeable, responsible
Boat people. Always prepared to assist any guests. The small fast Tenders, with safety first for everyone, with non restrictive life vests, gives a freedom to leave Eco Abrolhos main boat. These excursions are Eco Abrolhos’s
Drawcard. Shallow draughts make for access to inaccessible waterways. River systems, the waterfalls, cliffs, plants & animals, birds, crocodiles, Ancient Indigenous Art sites both Gwion Gwion & Wandjina. A historical WW 11 aircraft remains. Safe swimming holes, after a bit of a clamber! Fishing, Crabbing, all opportunities.
Montgomery Reef & Talbot Bay unique in their beauty. Keeping guests well catered for,Chef Johnnie created wonderful varied meals, several with the ultra fresh fish just caught.
From the Ocean, the Kimberley is so Special.

A big thankyou to Grant the skipper and all of his crew for their professionalism throughout this amazing journey. Very informative with historical facts and cultural history. Food menus were outstanding at all times, chef was brilliant! also the fishing tours we experienced bringing in the fresh fish adding to the evening meals . In my many years travelling I have never been so moved by emotion to witness the Kimberley Coast Line.King George River! Montgomery Falls! King Cascade! Just a few of the many areas that this cruise offers to those who appreciate the natural wonders we have to witness in this Great Region. And of course to appreciate these sites with the professionalism of Grant and his crew safety was assured throughout the intire cruise. Thankyou again!!!!🤠❤️🙏 Cheers Scottie

Boat is old and dirty. Rooms are tiny. Sunset bar is never open except for a special event like Mexican night (so twice throughout the whole cruise) Furniture is old and worn out and stained. One of the passengers on our cruise, sat on a cane stool and it collapsed. It was lucky he didn't break his neck!
You are expected to wait for everyone when you go on an excursion. So, if you're fit, don't go on this boat as they let anyone on, no matter their level of fitness. That means you stand around in the heat, waiting for the slowest person to climb a rock or something.

Thanks for your feedback, we're disappointed to hear that you didn't enjoy your Kimberley cruise in June. We know that our boat and experience isn't for everyone. We're not a luxury cruise and our boat is older but has a more casual and relaxed feel which quite a lot of our passengers really like. We're also far more competitively priced than others in the area. In regard to your comments about excursions, I'm sure you can understand the difficultly of catering to different fitness levels. Where possible we do our best to group certain passengers together or provide different options for daily activities but this isn't always achievable so we try to be as inclusive as we can with the group that we've got. Since your trip we have implemented more rigorous staff training and cleaning schedules so we're confident that this has improved immensely since your trip. Once again, we're truly sorry you didn't enjoy your trip. Hopefully you can find a tour operator in future that is a better match to your expectations. Thank you and take care.

Great tour of the Kimberley’s by sea. Exceptional crew, great food. Trips each day by very functional tenders were the highlight of the days. Enough time to rest and relax and we met so many nice people. We had 26 passengers on our boat and we never had to wait very long for anything. Everyone got along very well and were easy going. I would thoroughly recommend this trip

This boat is old, dirty and smelly. The cabin we stayed in was about as big as a shoe box. The upper deck had old, broken furniture and the bar was never open at sunset (as portrayed on the website) . No one in the office wants to know if you're not happy with something. It's all about, how hard it's been for them. The tender ( small boats) crew on the Eco were fantastic. The cruise may not be as expensive as some of the others but, it is still incredibly expensive and not value for money at all.

We’re disappointed to see this review and your comments about us (in the office) not caring about your feedback. We spent a lot of time investigating some of the claims you had made and actioning feedback as well as responded to all your emails. We care deeply about feedback and it’s clear that our boat wasn’t a match to your expectations. As I mentioned in my email communication, we’ve never claimed to be a luxury boat and our prices are far more competitive than other operators in the area. No other passengers from your tour shared feedback about the boat being ‘dirty and smelly’. As you can see from previous reviews, that’s not what most other trips have experienced either. Based on our email communication it didn’t feel like there was anything we could say or do to change your mind. We know we have a fantastic experience to offer and it might not be for everyone and that’s ok. Again, we’re sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience and we wish you all the best.

Amazing experiences - drinks at dusk at amazing waterfalls, picnic lunch swimming in fresh water waterholes, fishing, crabbing, crocodile watching!, whale watching, upper deck drinks and Hawaiian night, out in the tenders for sunrise over the amazing Kimberley cliffs, river reflections, the unforgettable Montgomery Reef and the Horizontal Falls. exceptional staff - Grant, Jono, Alex and crew, great food, very reasonable bar prices and much more ….
A once in a lifetime unforgettable experience.
        Thank you!

We appreciate you taking the time to write your kind review and we are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your Kimberley cruise. The Kimberley is certainly a beautiful part of WA and we get just as much enjoyment sharing it with our guests. The sunrises and sunsets are not to be missed. Hope to see you again some time on one of our other cruises.

This was an outstanding cruise that fulfilled all of our expectations. We had previously explored the onshore Kimberley, but cruising is definitely much mre picturesque. The crew were outstanding, especially Grant who generously shared his intimate knowledge of the Kimberley, its landscapes, history and indigenous culture. Also notable was the way the crew helped us elderly adventurers to navigate some rough terrain, and thereby reach the fresh water pools for a refreshing dip. Food was good, varied and plentiful. We can't wait to do another EcoAbrolhos tour. Only downside was rough seas toward the end of our trip.
