- janb3900 contributionsAustralian Pinnacle Tours Perth - hightly recommendableAfter a really bad experience with ANZ Travel company who farmed out the tours to Viator who thankfully chose Australian Pinnacle Tours for most of the day trips. I found the guides and the office staff to be kind and so so helpful. The buses were comfortable and the guides were extremely knowledgable and nothing was too much trouble for them. Definitely recommendWritten 10 March 2025

Commentary was a bit difficult for me as I'm hearing impaired but that didn't matter. My two friends and myself had a wonderful time thank you. Great value.Written 6 March 2025
- davidpirie010 contributionsRottnest First TimersOur first time to Rottnest, so wanted an easy & comfortable trip. We got both. Tour guides were very knowledgeable & the content was great. We got to see a lot & cam away very pleased with our choice. The only point we’d raise was in respect of the meeting point, which was billed as “Rottnest Train Station”, but is in fact a small covered seating area signed “Settlement” so we weren’t sure we were in the right place.Written 26 February 2025

- Keef_the_Red0 contributionsGreat afternoon/evening at the PinnaclesWe booked the tour from bqck home and in the UK. From the off, Pinnacles Tours (PT) showed exceptional customer service. Marisa tried applying the entertainment book discount but it wouldn’t allow it online. After a quick email, PT refunded the discount amount. Regrettably as well, we made a booboo with our booking, and it was booked for the 17th, again after a quick call on the day, PT moved our booking on the day to the 24th! Hassle free, excellent customer service. On to the trip, our tour guide and coach captain, Anton, picked us up from our holiday at 2pm in the afternoon. From there we travelled up to Yanchep to see the Koalas, and then up to Cervantes to the Tavern for our lunch. After lunch, we went to the Pinnacles to take in the amazing sunset and views, and then down to Lancelin beach. We had a coffee and cake, and then back to the Pinnacles to stargaze! All amazing! Some breathe taking views. Anton was a brilliant guide, very knowledgable and friendly. Brilliant, brilliant trip! Thanks PTWritten 24 February 2025

- 619jeffry0 contributionsWA State is famous for unique wildflowersWestern Australia is a State which is famous for its wildflowers, which amount for over 12,000 species -- some 60 percent of them are to be found nowhere else on the planet. If you want, you can take a tour to Wave Rock and York which are part of Western Australia's Wheatbelt in the south-west of the State. You can inspect Wave Rock, which is quite fascinating. The unique kangaroo paws flowers are wild, and marvelous to see. Taking a cultural day tour day related to the Aboriginals is informative and enjoyable. You can enjoy inspecting the Wildflower State tour of Australia's largest area.Written 15 February 2025
- db9010 contributionsBe cautious....I booked the tour well in advance for my trip to Australia. A few days before I was to arrive I was notified that the company canceled the tour due to low numbers. I had prepaid for the trip and thus was very disappointed. I ended up renting a car on my own and for less than half the price of the trip had the car for 2 days and did two different tours (this and another to the southwest) via self drive and had a great experience. Other reviewers wrote about the hundreds of miles of boring wheat fields. It is true and it is a long drive to the site from Perth. York is a small town with a bit of history, but not a lot going on or to do. I stopped, but wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. Mulka's Cave was interesting and the Aboriginal hand print art on the walls was worth the drive from Wave Rock. The main rock itself is interesting and beautiful. The geology and cultural significance make it something of value, but this tour will not be the most interesting one you ever do. If you go, with the tour or on your own, the walk around the Wave Rock area is interesting and you can get much more on the geology from doing it. Also, research about Wave Rock's significance with the sky and migrations of the people to add to your experience. No matter how you go about it from Perth, it will be a long, long day.Written 12 February 2025
- 963heathc0 contributionsThe stars were the star of the showGreat trip. We absolutely lucked out and Jonathon was our guide. He is an actual astronomer, so we learnt a ridiculous amount about the stars and a whole heap of other stuff on the trip there. Even though the trip was for the pinnacles the stars were the star of the show. If you go definitely go for the sunset and star gazing. The driver was really nice, but even though it's a new bus there were a few hiccups with it. I still gave 5 stars, because Jonathon was brilliant. Some very intelligent people struggle to connect with the average person, but he was great. The pub dinner was also good and we had enough time there have a bit of a walk around too.Written 20 January 2025
- phillipm3140 contributionsBetter ticketing to opening timesAll was mostly good except when they said on our tickets , the ticket box closes an hour earlier before the boat leaves. We got there at 645am ready for the 8 am departure but no one there, they didn't arrive and open until 720 am what a pain in the butt waiting around, they need to amend their tickets to their opening times this really sucks. You also couldn't get coffee until around 715 am so we could have stayed home an extra hourWritten 17 January 2025
- petwrite0 contributionsCould be better!I've always enjoyed and taken the Rottnest Island hop-on hop-off bus service. It provides relatively cheap hassle-free transport around the Island and back to the settlement, where one can catch the ferry back to the mainland. However, it is a shame that the prices have increased to $30 per adult, with only a small discount for pensioners and students at $22. When you consider that, you only end up boarding the bus twice. Because of time constraints, you are not getting the best value for money.Written 15 January 2025

The tour makes a drinking pass through the city of Perth, then there is a 45min visit to the Kings Park, then it goes around the river in the housing areas, passes brushing through the beach of Cottesloe and finally gives a tour through Fremantle. In gerla is a proper tour with a total of 4h. The Guide/Driver was a senior and knowledgeable person.

If you are new to Perth then this will certainly work for you. It is a good overview of the area including Freemantle, and I would definitely recommend adding the cruise back to Perth even though it takes a little bit longer than going on the coach. To some extent you don’t get enough time at any of the places but then it is meant to give you ideas of where to go back to. We certainly decided to spend more time in Freo and go back to Kings Park.

Great and well organised trip out. Chris (Driver and Guide) for the main tour was very knowledgable and delivered his tour in a friendly and great humoured way. Good to be able to have a bit of quality time walking around the Botanic Gardens and Fremantle.
Other Driver on the hotel pick up run was great, but didn’t get his name.

Absolutely loved Kings Park, plenty of time to explore the gardens and have a coffee. Our guide/driver provided an comprehensive commentary during the whole of the tour, a fantastic way to learn about Perth and Freemantle. There was plenty of time to explore the Freemantle Markets and have lunch.

Guide Chris was awesome, in time, very knowledgeable and great sense of humour. Covered a lot of suburbs and got all the history along the way! Always best to do a guided tour when new to a place as you’ll learn so much more than doing it solo. Highly recommend this tour!

Found that there was not enough time at Kings park especially if you go to have a coffee We ordered coffee and scones. They were so slow we had to ask them to do take away. Price were very high The bus comentary was hard to hear and what we did hear we couldn't connect to the place We felt that the driver was talking just to the few front people. Some of the seat belts in the bus we were on would not reach around When we got to Fremantle we were dissapointed as how we had to get to the boat It was confusing and had to walk back 10 minutes. Highlight of the trip was the cruise back to perth

An excellent and informative coach tour of Perth city including the Kings Garden area with stop off and then transit to and tour of Fremantle. There are options to either return by coach or ferry. We elected to spend time in historic Fremantle before returning on the ferry up the River Swan to Perth. Our driver/guide, Keith, took particular care to provide interesting information and to ensure that everyone understood their options. Recommended.

This tour is excellent and brilliant value for money especially if you include the Swan River Cruise back to Perth. Our driver/guide had a superb knowledge of both Perth and Fremantle and was most informative in a polite and courteous manner. Would recommend this tour to any visitor to Perth as an excellent way to gain knowledge of both venues.

Discerning in relation to the driver been instructed on how to drive the bus with 16 pax aboard. (No consideration for safety) Late for transfer by 25 mins for sightseeing and again late by 15 mins leaving the Botancial Gardens. Driver constantly making bad jokes about the Chinese ( disgrace for your reputation). Commentary interrupted by his narrative on his “cold” and constant negativity. Perth is a beautiful city but unfortunately I would not recommend this company for any sightseeing tours.

Dear Janet G,
Thank you for taking the time to advise us of your recent experience on our Perth City Explorer tour and we are extremely disappointed to read your comments with regard to our driver on the day. We are investigating all issues mentioned, not least the reference concerning the initial driving skills and certainly the inappropriate comments made regarding other nationalities which we take extremely seriously and by no means condone. Thank you for this input and we will act to ensure a similar experience will not occur in the future and we apologise for this failure in delivering an exceptional tour.

Though this tour was facinating, in hindsight I wish I had taken the train into Freemantle and spent a day or 2 exploring. There is so much to see and this tour just doesn't allow you the time to see it all. The Prison tour is facinating and Sad .
