    Excellent day out
Brilliant day thoroughly enjoyable. Pick up on time. Choice of winery good, all wines a high quality. Choice of lunch very good and plenty of time allocated to allow everyone to enjoy the experience. The driver/guide was very professional and knowledgeable about the local area. No hidden extras. Highly recommend it

    Highly recommend
We definitely could not fault our Day trip. Everything from the moment we arrived at the boat to our last stop at the Brewery was very professional. Peter our driver was so engaging with everyone and went out of his way to look after our whole group at each and every venue including his great choice of music for our bus. I'm not sure of the other drivers name of our group maybe Michael. He was always keeping an eye on us all and looked after us fantastic even if we weren't on his bus. As a large group we couldn't have been more satisfied and happy with both the lovely gentlemen who took care of us today. We would highly recommend Swan Valley Tours to others. Thanks again guys. A bloody great enjoyable day.

    Swan Valley half day trip
2 winery stops were quite pleasant, the chocolate factory and providoor stop was very rushed and only had 20 mins to complete both, as a result did not get to have a look in the chocolate factory. This was dissapointing. The cruise back along the swan river was excellent with nice afternoon tea and great entertainment by the staff.

    Super experience
Fantastic half day tour. 40 bus ride to first winery at Mandoo to sample half a dozen lovely wines. Then onto Lancaster winery for more of the same plus cheese boards. 3rd stop was at a chocolate factory with more samples than I could manage. The 2 hour boat trip back to Perth was filled with tea and cakes followed by a generous open bar. Absolutely worth the money

    Very enjoyable
The half-day tour didn't start well as the bus missed picking us up in Guildford (we were at the appointed spot in good time) and by the time this was rectified we were already behind the rest of the tour at the first stop. However, we caught up the the tastings and really enjoyed the 3 contrasting vineyards we visited; one large, one smaller and one more rustic but all with some interesting and varied wines. Chatting to the staff in each venue was wonderful, as their passion for the products shone through. The supply of wines was plentiful with food accompaniments being offered also. The brewery and its beer was OK, but it would have been better to have seen the brewery itself not just a bar area. The chocolate stop was a bit pointless and some of the other guest spent their time in the distillery next door, which would have added value to the trip which was $90 per person and just about worth it. A really enjoyable afternoon was had though.

    Wine and river trip
This was a trip of 6 parts, initially a coach trip (minibus) with a fantastic, funny and knowledgeable driver 5/5. Part two at the sandlford winery, brilliant wine presented by a brilliant guy, 5/5 Part 3 at the Lancaster winery, rushed through the tastings and the only info presented was, this is ....type of grape. The wine was excellent which helped the score 3/5 Part 4, lunch, excellent service, delicious food and a great accompanied wine, 5/5 Part 5, the Mandoon winery and cheese tasting, again the wine tasting was rushed with very little information and way too many people for the amount of cheese supplied 3/5 Part 6 , trip back on the Swan River, amazing journey, the wine flowed more than the river, ace crew, 5/5

    Value for money but rushed
Good value for money with all the inclusions however the wine tastings felt very rushed. Only about 25-30mins at each place and felt like we sat down and then got up again. Boat tour with Captain Cook cruises at the end was fantastic! Awesome crew and afternoon tea!

    A raucous drunken trip
The early morning part had nice views. The Captains commentary was very bad. The wine tasting started early and by 11 lots of people were drunk. The ship was fully booked and as the day progressed a lot of people were getting louder, drunker and the passengers were dancing in the isle. The Captain had trouble controlling the ship and at one time it ran aground. Then the crew started singing, 2 girls. Both sang flat and it was painful. I couldn’t get off fast enough. A shocking day.

    Fabulous day
This trip was exceptional value for money and such a good day out. We chose to go on the coach then boat return. We visited 3 wineries enjoying a wide variety of wines and fizz (all delicious 😋) lunch was included as well as a stop at a chocolate factory. We were entertained on the boat by members of the crew staff along with more inclusive wine and cake. Nothing negative to say!!

    Swan Valley half day tour
All wineries & brewery were excellent with great service & knowledgeable, served food with tastings, presented very well. Chocolate venue waste of time & added nothing a time filler to afternoon, could have been left off & no one would have noticed. They gave nothing but a very small piece of 3 chocolates & that was it.

Swan Valley wine & beer experience
The 3 wineries were fabulous, friendly & knowledgeable. The brewery was the same, all provided food with tastings. The chocolate factory could have been left off, as offered nothing to experience.

I was treated to this cruise which was one of the highlights of my holiday in Perth. From the time we boarded we were well looked after by the crew. Hot drinks and mini muffins were served almost immediately, then wine tasting began at 10.15am (!). We were offered 4 or 5 different wines with a cheeseboard including salami and crackers as we cruised up the scenic Swan River. After a brief coach ride we had a substantial lunch at a winery with a drink of choice. Next stop was a 2nd round of wine tasting with cheeseboards at another winery, and a chance to purchase bottles to take home, followed by a visit to a chocolate factory. After reboarding our boat we were offered more hot drinks and a fabulous selection of cakes, plus a free bar and entertainment by our crew on our way back to the city centre.
I enjoyed myself thoroughly as I like wine and I'd never been on a Swan River cruise during 2 previous holidays in Perth. There were great views from our boat, from the city skyline to the quieter green areas upstream, and the Swan Valley itself is beautiful. Although it's not cheap, it does represent excellent value for money. In fact, I found there was too much to eat snd drink!

We chose this event to celebrate our anniversary. The day was just wonderful. We enjoyed the morning cruise, met some new people, had great food and excellent service from the crew. The afternoon's coach tour was great. We went to 2 smaller wineries (Windy Creek and Twin Hills) and had tastings of some very nice affordable wines. The next stop at a brewery was also enjoyable. The final stop at Whistlers Chocolate Company was a perfect way to end the 'tour'. Our coach driver, Lucy, looked after us well and ensured the coach part of our day was relaxing, fun and unhurried! We've already recommended this tour to friends.

This combo boat and wine tour was a great finale to our time in Australia. The format of the tour is great -- couple of hours slow ride up the river with wine and cheese accompaniment, then a bus trip around to a couple different wineries, including one for lunch. Claude, our bus driver and tour guide, did a lot to make this a special outing. He seems more or less to be the unofficial mayor of Swan Valley, and created a fund team atmosphere among the group for our day together. Lunch was just so-so. Good value for the money, would recommend.

The boat trip and platter was good, however the wine on the boat was not flash Lunch at the brewery was also good. But onto the first winery. The wine was not of a quality that one would hope on a tour showcasing Swan Valley wines. The tour guide described it as his favourite as it had the cheapest wines in the swan valley.!!!!!!
The second winery was somewhat better. Overall if this tour showcase the Swan valley wines don’t drink them.
Then the chocolate tasting. A very very small taste of 3 very small pieces of chocolate. Pretty much a tour of a Chocolate shop. The last stop was just an average bar for a drink and chips. No tasting.
The concept of the trip has potential but the venues to be selected based on on Quality not price

Pretty disappointed with the trip overall.
The cruise to swan valley was lovely with the exception of there not being enough morning muffins for our group. Perhaps this was down to other guests being overly greedy. Other than this there was plenty of food provided throughout the tour and it was all lovely. The main disappointment was with the actual wineries. Firstly I will say, it was not a ‘small group to ensure a personalised experience’ as advertised. There was easily 30 people at the wine tasting. The lady giving the tasting at the first winery was not particularly friendly and mumbled through a rough description of the wines before everyone rushed through tastings. The second winery was slightly better but again lacked that intimate experience and more detailed descriptions of what you were tasting. It also felt pretty rushed.

We had a fantastic day. The first coach driver was across his local history. The wineries were great - a different feel at each and staff who knew their wines. Lunch was delicious. The cruise back was the highlight - so relaxing, plenty to drink but the best part was the talented singer who entertained us for the last 20 or 30 minutes. She was awesome.

We did this cruise a few years back and it was brilliant. The cruise itself with wine and food platter, the young ladies attending to us and singing on the way back. Wonderful.
The meal at the winery was really good.
So we did it again with my daughters. It was as good as before, except the meal at the winery, which now seems to be prepared for a price, and the price seems to be very little. Did not enjoy that at all on this second trip.

Was a well organised tour that ran smoothly and included a great range of visits. Only thing that let it down was the lack of fun. Was very very sterile and when asking the driver to turn on the radio was told this could not be done as needed to concentrate.

We booked this cruise well in advance to ensure that it would fit into our schedule when visiting Perth. While we were there we received a call to say that the day we had booked was cancelled, asking us to rebook for the next day. Then we received another call to say that this cruise was also cancelled.
So, we had to get a refund because there was no time to rebook. This is very disappointing because it was to be one of the highlights of our holiday. We were astounded that a reputable cruise company could cancel - twice! Especially after they had taken our booking.
Disappointing.

Good afternoon, Thank you so much for providing feedback and please accept our sincere apologies for both cruise cancellations, we are very sorry for this disappointing outcome. Somtimes we do need to cancel for operational reasons but we agree, that cancelling once and then again for the next day is certainly not ideal, and a situation that we avoid as much as we can. This is a rare occurrence, fortunately. Hopefully we will have the opportunity to welcome you back on board with us another time in the future. Kind regards, Georgia

On a hot summer's day, it was a delight to enjoy a scenic cruise from Elizabeth Quay up the Swan River to the Wild Swan at Mandoon estate - a trip of almost three hours, made very enjoyable by the company of fellow travellers, the sampling of three wines and the interesting commentary from the skipper.

We then had lunch followed by a tour of three wineries (some a lot better than others) a visit to a chocolate factory and a 25 min coach back to the Quay which arrived at almost the same time as fellow travellers who had taken the return boat trip.

A lovely day out.
