    Breathtaking trip with amazing guide
It's difficult to describe this amazing experience in a few words. I loved so many things about this trip. Sean our guide was the best guide ever. He truly loves what he is doing. He gave us so much information, was always calm and friendly and assured at all times everyone was ok (we always had enough drinking water on the bus, he even passed sunscreen). The food was delicious and we had really nice campgrounds. You sleep surprisingly well in the swag. I was also so lucky with the group (mixed all ages), they were lovely people! And of course the tour itself with all these amazing stops, the nature, animals. Everyday we saw something breathtaking and I just felt blessed and thankful! This is a 100% recommendation.

The best holiday to South West Australia!
This trip was incredible and we got to experience so much during the 6 days without it being too busy! We got to see amazing beaches with the clearest water and the whitest sand. Saw so many different animals over the week, I got to tick so much off my bucket list! A big shoutout to our driver Sean so was so helpful and so accommodating over the week and kept us entertained with his guitar!! Honestly made friends for life on this trip and I’d definitely recommend to anyone who wants to see South West Australia!

    A week to remember
The tour to Esperance was amazing. Every day was a highlight. Sean is THE BEST tour guide, chef, driver, singer and his jokes and games on the bus were hilarious. I was lucky to have an awesome group of people. The beaches and hikes were amazing and we saw so much wildlife (kangaroos!!) and marine life. Definitely recommend to go on this tour!

    Highly recommended
I joined the 6-Day Esperance & Margaret River Adventure Tour in November 2023 with guide Carlos. I enjoyed the tour a lot! Everything was very smoothly organised, the places we visited were stunning. The activities were well balanced (there is some time spend driving but it is well balanced with walks, swims & other activities such as a walking tour with an indigenous lady, visit to a local chocolate factory etc.) As it was rainy and not very warm for most of the tour, tents were offered for sleeping in addition to the swags. The campgrounds were all very good (clean, well equiped facilities, nice locations) and never too crowded. The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough. The meals were adapted to the likings of the group. As we were only 7 travellers on this tour, there was plenty of room on the bus. We were also offered to choose between different activities or options of hikes for example, which added a very nice touch to the tour. All in all, I would highly recommend this tour and Untamed Escapes. Based on my experience, Untamed tours are among the very best you can find in Australia.

    8day Adelaide to Uluru
Had an amazing 8 days traveling from Adelaide to Uluru. Alex our guide was super lovely, informative, cooked the best camp meals and really went out of her way to plan our days so our group had the best experience. My highlights were exploring the flinders ranges by foot and driving, the walk of kings canyon at sunrise and sleeping in swags in some beautiful campsites.

    Great trip to the SW
This is a great trip with many highlights. Our guide and driver, Alex, was wonderful, very professional and friendly. The meals were excellent, and the campgrounds we stayed at were good. Alex and the UE team did a great job handling some disruptions caused by some bad weather we encountered, including finding alternative accommodation for the last night (no easy task given how busy the school holiday period is in this part of WA). Finally, we had a fun and interesting time with a great group. This was my 2nd trip with Untamed Escapes and both have been excellent. I'm looking forward to going on another one sometime.

    Magical Tour
An absolutely magical part of Australia! Our guide showed us more than we could have imagined and his enthusiasm and excitement for the places we visited was infectious. A great mixture of local history, significant landmarks, learning about indigenous culture and ways of living, and purely amazing scenery. Our guide prepared a great variety of meals and we never went hungry.

A spectacular getaway with a wide variety of activities and adventures.
We had the best time with our tour guide Alex! Alex was organised, knowledgeable and fun and led us through an amazing itinerary with just the right amount of time at each location. Great value trip, beautiful camp sites to sleep under the stars and awesome food. We could not have put this trip together ourselves.

Amazing locations, amazing group, amazing guide and amazing food ❤️Would love to go again :) Its great to just relax in the bus while the guide drives you to everything you need to see! Lots of long days in the bus so you need to be prepare and happy with it! our guide Chris played amazing music and cooked delicious food each night :) Everybody helped out with packing and cleaning for breakfast, lunch and dinners... unfortunately we had a fire ban so no fires at night... there were a few favourite nights like the one off the Nullabor wild camping under an amazing sky of stars, the one in Coodlie Park with the bucket showers and also in Port Lincoln sleeping next to looots of koalas (they can be super loud at night)!!!
Definitely do the add on activities like seal and dolphin swimming too:)
Thank you for everybody who joined this tour, a great group of very different interesting people and also our guides Chris and Joey (lucky us we had 2 for most of the trip!) Thank you!

We were a group of 18 people, mainly British, and the youngest was 18 and the oldest 78 years old. Joe was like a good caring Dad who cooked delicious meals even after a long travelling day and he pleased not only the meat eaters but also the vegetarians, gluten-free lady and the lactose-intolerante people. Joe knows a lot about kangaroos, emus, camels, koalas and even stars. We were a bit squeezed in the bus because we were such a big group but under the sky we became like family and supported each other when we did some sand surfing and some regular surfing.
For me and my family it was not the first experience in the outback but for the first time "basic camping in swags". It was a great experience!

Myself and 8 friends crossed the Nullarbor with Chris as our guide, driver, cook and allrounder. He was very considerate of adjusting our schedule to the weather, which wasn't the best some days. He was always chirpy, friendly, informative and as a tour guide myself, I found him to be on top of his game. Long driving days on this trip, but never boring. The places we stopped were varied, saw plenty of wildlife, caught the end of the wildfowers at Fitzgerald River NP and managed a great walk at Cape Le Grande NP before the weather blew in. We ate extremely well. A couple of highlights were swimming with dolphins and sealions and the cage dive with great white sharks was awesome. I highly recommend this trip. Very professional, good communication and a great way to cross the country. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat....

I was so excited when I booked this tour after reading amazing reviews however I was left so disappointed.
The itinerary described is not the itinerary we completed we missed out on hikes, museums, sights such as surf break and pink lake. On the wine tour we were told they don’t accept buses and had to pay for bottles of wine ourself!!

The tour was poorly organised. I appreciate there are long drives but due to poor planning we would always arrive in camp after dark about 8pm by the time we have unpacked, prepped, showered we would eat so late one time at 22:45 ( after eating breakfast at 06:30) No time to relax at camp and together as a group! For example at lucky bay there was supposed to be time to swim in the evening, there was not as we again arrived after dark - again something on the itinerary we did not do!

The guide was poorly supported and as a result was stressed and tired all the time! He spent 4 hours food shopping one day, in a town that closed up at midday so the only thing to do was sit in a pub!! This day we did none of the activities on the itinerary for that day.

The swags were not waterproof after five minutes of rain they were wet inside. We were told to sleep in the kitchen which is not the sleeping under the stars experience!! The kitchen was also used by others in the camp and so we were in the way! It also meant we could not sit there as a group of people wanted to go to bed. There was no back up options either!

On a positive note the food on this tour was great and they made an big effort to cater for all requirement!

This was a large expense for me and I was so excited about it as the description and itinerary sounds amazing and the reviews were great but it!  The level of service and planning was completely unacceptable.

Hi Lauren, As the business owner, I wholeheartedly apologise that you were disappointed with your tour. We work hard to create exceptional experiences and have a majority of five-star reviews which is why you booked the tour. After receiving a complaint from one of your fellow passengers, I called everyone on tour, including yourself and the Guide who has worked with us since 2006, to get feedback. There have been both positive and negative. I have spent two days investigating every part of this tour, and while we take responsibility for some things, many were simply out of our control. When you travel 4,000 kilometres in 10 days across very remote areas, there are often challenges that our guides manage. This is also why we have a disclaimer about itineraries changing due to weather. In regards to the itinerary changes, we could not do the Frenchman's Peak hike due to rain and high winds. This was replaced with a walk the next morning from Scott's Creak to Mexican Hat Beach, which from feedback, people loved. The Ceduna Arts Centre was closed because we left camp 1.5 hours late due to the Guide agreeing to let everyone watch the world cup soccer (group consensus). He even found a place with a TV for people to watch it. The pink lake was not pink due to the high rainfall, so to save a 40km round, it was skipped. As a result, we have removed the pink lake from the itinerary so we don't cause disappointment. Another reason for last-minute changes was the Guide going above and beyond to accommodate the five people that had not pre-booked the sea lion tour, convincing the operator to run another tour that day, so they didn't miss out. This whole day then had to change, which the group were happy with. We always add things that are not in the itinerary, such as on this tour, the Skylab Museum and Gallery in Norseman. The wine tasting is not an inclusion, but regardless it's clear that particular winery doesn't welcome groups, and we will not be going there again. It is unfortunate that there was so much rain and that this impacted the tour, from the sleeping arrangements to the itinerary changes. While we did have shelter at the campsites, it was not always ideal. On the final night, the Guide arranged for the group to stay in dorm rooms at no extra cost, but of course, this impacted the overall swag camping experience. Guides do have a run sheet they are supposed to operate to. The night you are referring to getting into camp at 10.45 pm was the day we put our clocks forward two hours when crossing the border from WA to SA, but still, even 8.45 pm is too late and certainly not the norm. As a result of the feedback from this tour, our Operations Manager is heading out on our next 10 Day Adelaide to Perth tour to ensure the itinerary we are selling is being delivered to the best possible standards. The standards that we have been providing since 2004. We thank you for your time on the phone and your feedback and apologise that this tour did not meet your expectations as we only aim to give people happy and positive experiences. Regards Craig Haslam Owner

I had an amazing trip with Jackson and the group. Lots of fun adventures camping in swags, swimming, sandboard, seeing the wildlife and stopping at the best spots. Many things happened out of anyone's control throughout the trip that was all part of the experience. There was a tyre change on the side of the road at 40 degree temperature, some wet weather at Lucky Bay and the air conditioning on the bus was broken for the majority of the trip including crossing the Nullabor. Many thanks to Jackson for making everyone feel at ease with the hot bus and for being flexible with the itinerary during the wet weather.

Lots of sites and activities to see and do. The long drives across the Nullabore were a constant reminder of how beautiful outback Australia is. The food supplied was a real bonus and the guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The real highlight is the serenity of sleeping under the stars, just fantastic.

We took part in the Adelaide-Perth tour in December 2023. Our group was very manageable in size, which we really appreciated. With Carlos as driver, Damien as trainee and Estella as volunteer, we had great people around us.
What we really enjoyed: The whole tour. We saw and experienced a lot. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly, the supervisors were helpful, very nice, humorous and just great. Sleeping in swags in the open air. Almost all campsites. The teamwork at meals and the really fabulous conversations with everyone. Carlos' flexibility and ability to deal with unexpected situations. The hikes.
What we liked: The food, the space in the bus (since there were so few of us).
What we didn't like so much: The bus didn't quite meet today's safety standards. The mattresses in the swags were quite thin, we were glad that we had foresightedly brought extra mattresses with us.
We sometimes found the daily driving distances a little long for just one driver. The schedule is of course tight, with around 4000 km in ten days, so a few less program items here and there would have been nice to get to know a place or thing better.

We would have liked more extensive information on the tour about places, history, geology, flora and fauna, etc. etc.

In conclusion: We had an intensive time and a great tour. This was certainly due to the randomly good group composition, but above all to Carlos, Damien and Estella. A big thank you to this great trio!

Thank you for travelling with Untamed Escapes and for leaving this detailed review of your experience for other travellers. I'm very happy to hear you enjoyed your time with Carlos and Estella and that you overall enjoyed the tour, sleeping under the stars, the food and bonding with your group. Thank you very much for your feedback on the parts you didn't like as much. We take all feedback seriously. Regarding your comments about the bus, we undertake regular inspections of all of our vehicles to ensure they meet all safety requirements. The bus on your tour is an older vehicle that we purchased recently which is in very good condition. We appreciate your comments regarding the condition of the swags and tents. While our support teams diligently check and maintain them, we understand that variations may occur. We will institute measures to ensure their consistent quality and cleanliness. As a general rule, they are checked when they come into the depot, and guides report if there is an issue. Regarding the itinerary, covering 4,000 km in this tour means we do run to tight time frames. We annually review our tours and make adjustments to our itineraries based on client feedback and we will take this on board for when we next review our itineraries. Thank you so much and we hope to see you on another Untamed Escape sometime soon. Until then, travel safe. Best wishes, Rachel Untamed Escapes

Great tour, very good group experience. Brendan and Emily are great group leaders, uncredibly chill and have good feel/sence of the group. Tour it self had a great mixture of travel and lots of activities, in nature as in sightseeing. Unbelievable nice places and spots they had picked out, remote but therefore so special. Had a great experience, thanks guys!

I joined this 10 day tour from Perth to Adelaide and It was the most beautiful experience .
In addition to meeting new people, with whom I had a wonderful relationship and we had a lot of fun, I had the chance to get to know Australian Aboriginal culture and its beautiful nature in depth.
Thanks to our wonderful guide Jackson, who accompanied us throughout this wonderful experience, showing us what it means to live in the Australian desert. Without him, the trip would not have been as wonderful.

Thank you for travelling with Untamed Escapes and for sharing your experience with other travellers. I'm so happy to hear you had a wonderful time on tour with your tour mates and your Storyteller Guide, Jackson. We think it's so important to learn about the history of Australia and the culture of the Traditional Owners and I'm glad you enjoyed this aspect of the tour, too. We hope to welcome you back on another Untamed Escape sometime soon. Until then, take care :) Best wishes, Hassie Owner | Chief Storyteller Untamed Escapes

I made the tour from Perth to Adelaide. For me, Camping was a completely out-of-comfort-experencience. But it was worth it!!!
Jason is an excellent guide, full with knowledge and he makes you feel very comfortable.
With this tour, you will be able to explore places of SA you've never seen before. Swimming with wild Dolphins and Sea Lions, the Twilight Beach, Lucky bay, the iconic Wave rock... Best hoildays ever!!
Step out of your comfort zone and do not hesistate to make the best experience in your life! Thanks Nullarbor Traveller for this amazing 9 days!!
