Awesome experience, views from the horse ride were fantastic and accommodating for someone who hasn't ridden very often. Highlight for me however was the clay shooting, very informative and absolute blast. Never shot before and by the end was relatively accurate, thanks to the guidance of Craig! Would definitely do again!

Awesome crew! Did the self drive buggy and clay shooting while daughter did horse ride thoroughly enjoyed it all. Crew were all friendly and just awesome people totally recommend for some family fun

Our tour guides were all super knowledgeable and friendly. I took my team of hairdressers and their partners on the selfdrive buggies and did the clay bird shooting. 10/10 for both. It rained most of the day but I didn’t matter at all and actually made the buggying a bit more fun!

Our kids (aged 10 and 11) had heaps of fun at the paintball shooting range today and wanted to have a go at archery and airsoft target shooting too. We had an awesome guide named Ihaia, he made sure we all had a safe and fun experience. We will definitely be back again for more family adventure activities! It's also great to know that the paintballs and airsoft bullets are biodegradable, especially with Adventure Playground being located in such a beautiful natural setting.

From the beginning it was fantastic. Great communication with the company. The tour itself was the highlight of our New Zealand trip. Our guide was very communicative and made my first time on the horse so much fun. Clay shooting after went just as much fun, with my wife having a blast. Highly recommended, best moment in new Zealand for us, will come back.

The service from start to finish was top notch. We had Josh as our guide for the hour long self drive tour, he was so knowledgeable, not only of the area but also of the history dating away back to the 1400’s. The 4 wheel drive machines handled every obstacle we came across, were such fun to drive. Then we went clay bird shooting, again with Josh, he was the absolute master when it came to safety, helped us navigate our way to actually hitting a few birds in the process. Luckily we had a bright sunny autumn day to enjoy the surroundings & views from Adventure Playground. Thank you Josh for the perfect day.

Such an action packed adventure for my friend and I on our big biannual girls getaway. Josh our 4x4 guide and Geoff our clay shooting instructor were both very knowledgeable staff members and a treasure to the company. This place was honestly pretty magical. My partner and I went here while visiting Rotorua, and I couldn’t recommend it more highly. I’ve got some experience with horses, but my partner doesn’t, and the team here helped her feel comfortable and get going on her horse. The horses were well-trained and friendly, very easy to ride and knew the trails well. We did the hour ride and really enjoyed it, you go along some trails, through the fields with cows and sheep then up to the top of the hill for a beautiful view with some lovely photo opportunities. Shout out to Nicola, our guide. She was super experienced with horses and made it really easy for us, had a good chat while we were riding and she taught me all about horses.

Hi, That was one of the worst experience i have ever had in my life from Adventure playground and Trip Advisors team as well, I did a booking of horse tracking for 3rd of March 2024 but unfortunately due to extreme wether provider called me and said please cancel your booking because you won’t be able to do the tracking. Then I cancelled my booking and i asked operator about my refund because i was almost reached there, he suggested me to cancel the booking and said you will get the refund because we are the one calling you to cancel it. And i did the same, I haven’t received any notification about refund and i have received any refund and i emailed customer service team of trip advisor, no body is replying to my email. I have lost almost $94 USD just for no reason. I will never choose trip advisor for booking next and will not suggest to anyone to use trip advisors. Thanks

My wife and I did a combo of horse trek and then clay shooting. We had an amazing time definately recommend. Clay shooting was an awesome experience We would definately recommend for people to do that we even purchased more ammo while we were up there. Think we found our new hobby. All the guides are incredible.
