Awesome experience for local Wellingtonians
Feb 2021
Such a great experience! We booked this tour as a a gift for my Dad's 60th birthday (he loves nature and gardening so this was perfect!), because of the low domestic demand for this tour it ended up being a private tour with just the three of us which was fantastic!

I have been to Otari Wilton before but I didn't realise just how massive it was! It was great to have our guide with us showing us the best tracks to walk and identifying plants and trees along the way, things we wouldn't have noticed without having the guide with us. I also didn't know much about the history of the place and how it came to be the way it is today. Despite being a local, I learned a lot on this tour! Also loved being taken to the 'secret' lookout, we had perfect weather so the views over Wellington city were absolutely stunning!

Would highly recommend this tour to not only domestic tourists but also to local Wellingtonians - I can guarantee you will learn a lot! It was really sad to hear that the last time our guide had done this tour was a year ago pre-Covid. Felt like our money was well spent and went to a great business that we would love to still be around once the borders open. Please go out and support your local tourism businesses!
