Great company, excellent guides! A fantastic day out!
I did 2 tours with Zozo. One around Wellington and the coastline with Gary on one day, and the half day Martinborough wine tour with Michael. I had so much fun both days, and they are both great guides. Lots of fun, very informative, interesting commentary and safe drivers. I loved hearing their stories. Our buses had a fantastic time. As a solo traveller I often do day tours, and these are very reasonably priced, and a good day out. Highly recommend :)

        Great overview of Wellington!!!
We got to see so much of Wellington, more than I imagined we would. The Weta cave was interesting and we enjoyed the lunch stop & was so happy it was included in your. Gary was very engaging and stopped at lots of beautiful beach & view points for great pictures. I left my purse in the van and he was kind enough to return it to our cruise port before our ship left. Highly recommend this tour.

        Pinot heaven!
Our guide Simon was knowledgeable and fun. The scenery on the journey to Martinborough was stunning. The three wineries were all very different and the place we stopped for lunch served delicious and plentiful food

        What a day!
This was the best value for money tour I have ever experienced. Fabulous and knowledgeable guide Simon, was a delight and only too happy to go above and beyond. Three winery stops, amazing lunch at Moy Hall - the food was to die for - and learned so much from the local hosts. Loved the humerous antidotes. Very much recommend.

        Martinborough excellence
We had a great day out. Simon our driver was knowledgeable and friendly. Moy hall where we had lunch, the food was excellent however the wine tasting got a bit lost and I felt it was rushed in between the food. But the food made it worthwhile. Simon added an extra of coffee at a cheese shop which was very pleasing. A great day in all and worth the $ as it’s not an easy drive over the rimutaka’s

        ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS!
What a fabulous day had by all! Our group of 19 ( 2 x Chartered Vans) loved their experience from tasting award winning cheeses , boutique wine tasting , sampling the local olive oils & blind chocolate tasting! A very professional company & Phil was a pleasure to deal with. Totally recommend. Raewyn from World Travellers Whangarei.

Great views, great wine, and great company!!!
We had the absolute pleasure of joining the Wine and Wild Coast tour, and it was an experience we won't soon forget. From the moment we set off, we were captivated by the stunning scenery and the warm hospitality of our guide, Phil. The tour itself was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. We explored the picturesque vineyards of Martinborough, sampling a variety of delicious wines, chocolates and cheese. Lunch at Poppies was amazing! Phil's knowledge and passion for the region were evident, making each stop even more enjoyable. The rugged cliffs, and the iconic Cape Palliser lighthouse were simply breathtaking. Phil's insights into the local history and culture added an extra layer of depth to the experience. Phil was friendly, informative, accommodating and always went the extra mile to ensure we had a fantastic time. If you're looking for a day filled with stunning scenery, delicious wine, and unforgettable experiences, we highly recommend the Wine and Wild Coast tour. It's a must-do for anyone visiting Wellington. The 6 crazy Aussies and the Kiwi.

        Excellent wine tour
Great tour over the mountain from Wellington to Martinborough with Phil. He was knowledgeable, personable, and funny, pointing out historical and geological and botanical sights along the way. We stopped at three lovely wineries and tasted some great wines. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Wine Tasting While in Wellington
A fabulous way to spend a beautiful, chilly day in Wellington and the surrounding area. I joined a tour as a solo participant and was ultimately joined by 4 other lovely folks - all of us Americans. Simon, our driver and guide, was fantastic! Local to the area, his insights and recommendations were top notch. Each winery we visited was as wonderful as the previous one, and the wines we tasted were awesome. Lunch was an incredible treat - way beyond my expectations. I would totally do this tour again - I highly recommend!

Great half day craft beer tour
We had a great afternoon and evening with Phil. We wanted to get out of the city itself and see some of the breweries a bit further out. Phil got us in at late notice to see Chris at Kereru, where I had two of the best beers I've ever had - a French Saison and a truffle infused, barrel aged barley wine. Next stop was a bit more corporate craft at Panhead in Beertown, then on to Baylands Brewing which was pumping. Phil was great on recommendations and knows the breweries really well. Thanks!!

Great fun day with Phil, lots of information and stories of the region as you leave Wellington over the Rimutakas to Martinborough, Greytown for 5 hours of fun. Ours was a mixed tour as there was only 4 of us, we had the best of both tours; 3 wineries, cheese and chocolate.
Really enjoyed the fun chocolate tasting and of course the yummy cheese. Phil even had a cool bag that could store purchased goodies and keep fresh until the end of the tour. We visited boutique and large scale wineries which was an interesting mix. Phil was incredibly friendly and helpful - we would thoroughly recommend this tour, a wonderful informative and fun day.

It was a nice day out with C'est Cheese and Moy Hall Wines being my favourite stops. Had a lovely Porchetta for lunch at the winery which was cooked beautifully. I was disappointed that the 4th stop in the town of Martinborough at the end didn't happen. It was supposed to be a 45min stop according to the itinerary but instead our driver just drove through the town.

That's not the case at all Iren! Your 4th stop happened as mentioned in your review! The tour covers cheese, chocolate and wine tastings and you opted for the extended lunch including the porchetta at the winery as your additional stop. This additional time could have been spent at the Town Square or Martinborough Sweet Shop instead of having the vineyard lunch as per discussion prior to the tour.

A Waiarapa taster describes our half day tour foodie tour; it left us wanting to go back to explore further on another trip to Wellington.
We were treated to a personal tour with Phil as our knowledgeable and personable guide. Really enjoyed C'est Cheese with its comprehensive range of deli products and the divine Schoc Chocolate; the Hot Cross Bun Chocolate has disappeared well before Easter!!
Highlight was Moy Hall and their Terrace pinot noir - a divine smooth nectar. Looking forward to our next Martinborough adventure.

Had fun with the tour with Phil.
From inquiring up to the end of the tour was great.
They accommodated our requests and the tour guide was knowledgable in the places we visited.
Foodie tour is good if you want to try a bit of everything, cheese, chocolates and wine.

What a magnificent day! Michael, our host and driver, made us feel so welcome. He knew his stuff, and how to handle the van over the mountain roads without scaring anyone :) Can't speak highly enough of Zozo, Moy Hall Winery, Poppies Winery, C'est Cheese and Schoc Chocolates. So glad we decided to do this tour!

This is a great tour! I wasn't able to book a spot on the all-day wine tour, and I'm actually glad that I booked this tour instead. It is a perfect combination of food and wine and the shorter time around 5-6 hours was perfect. Aaron is a great guide, providing information about the area, the wines, chocolates, food, etc. Our group had a great day! There were also a handful of solo travelers (myself included) and the group melded together quickly. This is another sign of Aaron being a good guide and getting everyone involved. Don't miss out!

Aaron was a great guide very informative about the area and shared his own foodie experience growing up and clearly showed his passion for the region.
I would have loved another winery tasting, as most of the trip was driving to and from Martinborough.
It would have been wonderful to have some time in this lovely quaint village.
Great tour, but it went so quickly and before we knew it, we were on our way home.

Great to hear you enjoyed the wonderful Wairarapa region and also a pleasure to hear that you have enjoyed Aaron's wonderful commentary. A 2nd winery stop was available as was time in the village but your opted for the meal at Moy Hall. For a longer more in depth tour our Martinborough Winery and Foodie Tour would be perfect!
