One of the best tours of my life
Apr 2021 • Solo
There is no one word to sum up this tour, incredible, amazing and awe inspiring just don't feel like they do this tour justice. From the minute Luca picked me up, it was incredible stop after another, from stunning views of the Lagon, through to stunning back roads to see kangaroos and one of the best craft breweries I have ever stepped foot in.

Every aspect of this tour was 5 stars, there is not a single aspect I can fault, and it was simply one of the best tours and tour guides I've had in my life.

Amazing experience with a KI local
Oct 2019 • Couples
We had such an amazing tour with Riggsy who was able to provide local expertise and insight throughout the day. On a full day tour there was never a dull moment. I cannot recommend the tour highly enough. It felt more like a visit with a friend than a tour guide.

Well organised and a pleasure to deal with
Sep 2019
We asked Kylie to organise transfers from Adelaide, the ferry to KI, KI accommodation and flights back to Adelaide. Whilst on the island for two days we went on the Gourmet Food and Wine Tour and the Wilderness Tour. Everything went smoothly and we thoroughly enjoyed both tours. The Gourmet tour is particularly good value for money with a multi course lunch at Sunsets. Beautiful food, excellent service and a magnificent view set this restaurant apart. 2 hours is allowed for the lunch. We had a different driver on each day and both were personable and a pleasure to deal with. In particular, Don who drove the Gourmet tour, was very knowledgeable about the island and he even took us for some four wheel beach driving. A big thank you to Kylie and her team for organising the two days for us so it fitted with our specific requirements. Kangaroo Island Trails has been a pleasure to deal with and the tours represent a great way to see and experience the island in a short space of time.

Full day of adventure with food and wine included
Mar 2019 • Couples
Great start to the day to find ourselves the only two in the group ! This meant the driver kindly adjusted the schedule to suit us, caught us up on some sights we had missed and added others of more interest. FUll of information and anecdotes along route we were fully entertained. Loved the quick trip to see resident seals and the boat building at American RIver. Honey farm and gin distillery a bonus. Lavender farm was a beautiful spot in f this world and definitely not to be missed. Gourmet lunch was unusual in its content but we thoroughly enjoyed it and the views were stunning. Last stop was the winery where we were persuaded to retry bubbles we had prevusly disliked ....and liked them ! This day trip was a perfect end to our five days on Kangaroo Island and we experienced far more than on the large coach tours. Our guide was excellent and let us in on a few local spots to visit next time we come.

6 star experience! Worth every cent!
Mar 2019 • Couples
The day we spent with Kylie on this tour was amazing. We saw fantastic scenery, had great food and amazing drinks. We could not have asked for more.

In one day we experienced: honey tastings, lavender tea and scones, gin tasting, cider tastings at the eucalyptus distillery, lunch at Sunset Food and Wine, wine tasting at Dudley cellars. We stopped at Emu Bay and Pennington Bay too.
It was worth every cent and we are so glad we did this tour as we went to so many places and saw so much, all kicking back and relaxing whilst the hard work was done for us.

Excellent. Interesting. A treat !

We were picked up by «Ricksy» (Kevin) in a charming mini-bus.
From the word go he made our trial such a pleasant one.
Very knowledgeable and willing to share his views on anything from politics to a humouristic view on the islanders and their habits. Very descrete when he needed to and very warm and participating when the spirit of the tour made that natural. (Most of the time.)
We covered a lot in 6 hours, including the best meal, so far, in a hillside restaurant overlooking the bay; the Sunset Food and Wine, run by Vanessa and Jack Ingram.
Although the program was not as descibed by our norwegian tour operator, it did not matter as we were fortunate to take part in a real life tour of Kangaroo Island - far more interesting than the description. Chantal and Lasse

Great Day
Jan 2019 • Couples
This was personalised and fantastic. Driver was Phillip and he took the time to talk to us about the things we liked and then worked that into the abundant attractions they had access to. We were able to drop a couple of things on the original plan off and add a couple of others. We went on a number of tours while on Kangaroo Island. This was by far the best. He had a good knowledge of the island and it's history and the vehicle they used was first class. Really nice lunch provided in a great setting. Scenery was sensational, recommend 100%

Fantastic experience
Kangaroo Island is all about the scenery, wildlife and great food, right? And we got itin bucketloads today. Kevin was an amazing guide: knowledgeable, engaging and loads of fun. We had great honey, learnt about eucalyptus oil distillation, ate great lavender scones, tasted fantastic gin and wine, and Kevin even agreed to an unscheduled stop at KI Brewery. And the food at Sunset Food was to die for. Kevin introduced us to a couple of kangaroos, an emu, he found us a koala and we even watched a pod of dolphins at Pennington Bay. We would not have had this experience if it weren’t for KI Trails and Kevin. Thanks for a memorable day!

Personalised Food and Wine Trail Tour of Kangaroo Island by Kylie-Jane Tull
Jun 2018 • Couples
What a great way to be introduced to Kangaroo Island with an individualised experience of the main food and wine attractions. There was just my wife and I in a very clean 4WD vehicle with Kylie. What a friendly and personal way to see the island.
The tour commenced at a respectable hour of 9.00am at our hotel in Pennyshaw with a drive along the waterfront and a summary of the history of the area. We then had a look at the almost deserted beach at Pennington Bay on the southern side of the island before our first stop at Cliffords Honey for tasting and a look inside a working bee hive. Then on to the nearby Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery to look at this unique operation. A visit to the Emu Bay Lavender Farm for morning tea with coffee and awesome lavender flavored scones. The next stop was at a different honey producer (Island Beehives) for tasting and a large choice of souvenirs. Kylie offered us a choice of two lunch venues: KI Fresh Seafood Cafe attached to the Caltex Servo, or Aurora Ozone Restaurant at the main hotel. We chose the Seafood for authentic seafood and the King George Whiting was just great in a very friendly atmosphere. After lunch, we were off for a drive around Kingscote including a stop to look at the seals and sea birds at the jetty, before calling in at the nearby Bay of Shoals Winery. We tasted their full range of wines mixed with some crackers, fig salami and sheep cheese (very tasty), and we are having some wines sent to us in Brisbane at a very reasonable cost. Our final call was at KI Spirits for a taste of some awesome locally produced gin with gin flavored ice cream to soak it up. A great way to end the day before being delivered back to our hotel by around 4.30pm. A fantastic tour made all the more enjoyable by the very friendly service given by Kylie. We give the highest recommendation for this tour and wish Kylie every success.
