- 625miabellab0 contributionsThe best tour I’ve been onThe most amazing tour I’ve ever been on! Gonzalo was the best guide, so knowledgeable about the history, culture as well as the environment and flora/fauna. Felt very safe and comfortable as he really knew the area and what he was doing and the environment itself is just breathtaking! The best day, it’ll stay with me forever!!!! Thank you guys so much :-)Written 12 March 2025
- Passenger3632730 contributionsBrilliant day.Elias and Jose were brilliant guides. They knew so much about geology, nature and the Andes. It was fascinating. They really looked after us, and made sure we were safe and happy. The walk itself was so good. Slightly challenging at the start for an older person but brilliant at the top. Very easy and so beautiful. The walk down the hill was a breeze. I'd highly recommend this walk.Written 6 March 2025
- maureen_r_newman0 contributionsExcellent loop between volcano hike & hot springsAndreas was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable and excited to share fun facts with us. The whole group spoke English, so it was easy to follow along, and Andreas did not need to keep switching languages. I really enjoyed seeing the volcano, though it was far away, before the hot springs. It gave more meaning to why the hot springs exist. The hike was easy with trekking poles, which were provided. The ride to the volcano got rough and bumpy at the end due to the lack of no paved roads, so anyone with motion sickness should come prepared.Written 22 February 2025
- Jana P0 contributionsEl Maipo CanyonThe AndoAndes Team was very responsive in confirming our reservation and with providing our trip details prior to our departure. Our guides were timely, personable, professional, well qualified and very knowledgeable about flora and fauna. We saw wildlife including a condor! Great day!Written 22 February 2025

- KIMFOONG0 contributionsGreat Fun and Lots to see!It was a greatly personal (of 3 pax) day trip hosted by Andres, our guide. He was very knowledgeable and has plenty of stories to tell us. The pace was perfect, slow and absolutely not in a hurry (like some of the other tour groups we saw). We were provided with a delicious sandwich for lunch and later a nice picnic spread of cheese, cured meat, crackers and fruits to go with our wine. Andres is who you'll want to take you on this. The sights were amazing! We enjoyed ourselves very much.Written 19 February 2025

- stephaniebN8492ZL0 contributionsGreat hiking excursion! This was a fantastic trip led by Jose, Elias, and driver Juan Carlos. The drive to the site was filled with great history, cultural overview and preparation for the upcoming hike. The hike itself was amazing, and the guides filled it with great insights on the geology, nature, and animal species in the area. We were a group with a wide range in hiking abilities, and they made sure everyone had a great time. Would highly recommend this tour.Written 8 February 2025

- joannecG4695KD0 contributionsA fabulous Day in the AndesWe absolutely loved this hike for so many reasons. Our guides Laura and Karina were so informative, professional, helpful and kind. They kept our small group moving at a great pace that allowed for taking in all the beauty and accomodated everyone's skill level. We were only in Santiago for a few days but this was the highlight for sure! If you want a bit of an adventure but nothing too extreme, this is a wonderful experience. Thank you again to our driver Jose and our two lovely guides, you were all awesome!Written 7 February 2025
- Min00980 contributionsBest tour of the AndesThis tour was definitely a great experience and well worth the money. Our guides contributed to this amazing experience. They were very informative and I was able to learn so many new things about the history and geology and the wildlife of the Andes mountains. Our guides was also so patient, we had one at the front of the group and one behind to make sure we were okay and not left behind. The tour is moderately paced and very doable with a normal level of fitness. If I had done this hike by myself I would not only get lost but I would not have been able to learn all this new information our guides had taught us.Written 7 February 2025
- personofinterest20150 contributionsBeautiful views of the Andes, moderate hiking experience needed.Elias and Angela were amazing guides. Very knowledgeable and well- versed in the geology and ecology of the region. The scenery was magnificent and we even had the pleasure of seeing 5 condors! It’s a long day but we were given the option of an extended hike, which we chose to do. Pick up and communication was prompt and excellent. Elias is a highly educated and enthusiastic ambassador for this country! Highly recommend.Written 1 February 2025

I had a fantastic experience with Ando Andes snow-hiking yesterday. They were punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. Victor, our guide, was amazing! He explained to us everything about the geological formations of the Andes as we were driving up and told us some really cool and interesting stories about this mystical place. He always made sure we felt safe and was able to accommodate ours needs. There were some breathtaking views of the mountains and the stops we made for photos were fab, too! The place where we had breakfast and an empanada before and after the hike was really charming. Overall, they provided such an outstanding service! I've been living in Chile for the past 4 years and this tour made me fell in love with Chile all over again. I totally recommend it!

Dear Carolina, how nice to receive this comment! We are very happy that you enjoyed the tour with us.
Victor will be very happy to receive this comment, as it is very important for him to do a flawless job. Without a doubt, the food is very tasty and the Huevos de Oro restaurant gives a very good service.
Thank you for appreciating the tour and your comments are very appreciated by the team.
A big hug!!

My wife and I had a very pleasant day with our three guides - Pablo, Berna, and Sebastian. They took us to a nice mountain cafe for a Chilean breakfast, led us through a nice, but not too taxing, hike, and toasted us with a nice post-hike wine & cheese snack.
The hike itself wasn't too bad, and we actually didn't use snowshoes (too much snow had melted). Our waterproof hooking boots were critical, as were our layered clothing to deal with dynamic wind conditions.
We got fantastic pictures and got to go to a remote, quiet place near the roof of the world that was unparalleled in beauty.

Scenery was beautiful and comfortable ride/van. They picked a great restaurant to stop at for us to buy lunch. Booked for an English tour. The guide did speak ok English but the rest of the tour was Spanish speaking so they were talked to most of the time. 15 min Spanish, 5 min English.

Hi Jessi, we're very sorry that your Valparaiso tour wasn't what you spect it, but you didn't made that tour with us !
We don't offer Valparaiso and Viña del Mar Tour, actually it's seems that you booked a snow hike with us, but we were not able to go on that one because there's no snow.
So again we're sorry for your experience but that tour was not with our company.
Best Regards

We booked this tour for August 13th, and it was a great adventure!! AndoAndes picked us up at our Hotel in Santiago at 6:30 AM in a van. Our tour guide Coti and driver Manu were awesome and very helpful to us, we stopped to rent warm gear (gloves & hiking boots, other travelers in our group needed ski pants) before the hike. The snow hike was challenging and fun. The views were beautiful!! Hiking in snow shoes is definitely a workout so be prepared, but it's worth it! This hike was the highlight of our Chilean trip. Coti and Manu made the adventure fun, and after we completed our hike, we stopped along the way back and had some cheese and wine with the group! I don't drink wine often (i.e. disclaimer), but this post-hike wine was the best glass (or two, hehe) that I've ever had :D

I took the snowshoeing tour with 5 people and Francisco in early August (Aug 5). I had a lot of fun, and it was a very memorable experience in Chile. I booked the tour through Viator the day before.
Our guide, Francisco was a very nice guy, and speaks excellent English. I had actually intended to go snowboarding, but was glad I did this snowshoeing tour, because the views were great, and it was fairly solitary.
The tour starts with a long drive to the Cajon de Maipo from Santiago, stops off at a rustic place for optional coffee and breakfast (which I loved because of the fireplace), and then proceeds to the location after stopping at another place to get rental clothing/boots, if necessary. After the hike, which is somewhat strenuous for about 10-15 minutes at the beginning, we finished off with wine and cheese at a beautiful location looking at the San Jose mountain.
If there is anything I think Andoandes can improve, it would be to provide a specific e-mail address for the guide that will be leading the tour. All the communication I had regarding pick-up seemed to be coming from a general e-mail address at the company.

We cannot recommend Bernie and Ema enough when it comes to a trek to the Andes. While challenging, the trek was made easier with breathtaking views and regular stops for photos. The little breakfast break and post trek wine and cheese snack were also lovely experiences to bookend our day out in the andes.

It was exactly as described. The rock formations, the snow, the beautiful landscape, the view of the volcano, everything was just right. I would say the trekking on the snow requires a physical effort but it is not too hard. We had breaks with reasonably frequency and the guides, Francisco and VĂctor were just awesome. They do love their job. Ask Victor about the penguins ;-)

This sounds terrific but we may not be fit enough. Husband is 71 and in good shape. I am 70 and thin but not a hard body nor athletic. What is your honest opinion? We leave next Tuesday and will be in Bolivia a week then Chile a week. This sounds so great. However, could I do it? Please reply. Thank you!
Written 28 August 2019
It’s only a 2-3hr trek at a steady pace so not too hard. One of the guides is always located at the rear of the group to assist the slower ones.
I would not be concerned by this, provided you can walk on inclined and uneven surfaces for a few hours then it should not be too difficult.
