Great Destination - Very Poor Coordination
Although the Alhambra was quite spectacular the tour portion was not. Discovering Spain should have been much more prepared than they were. I have no idea how they did not know there was a marathon taking place and the pickup location would not work. Having to walk to a new location in heavy rain resulted in wet footwear for the remainder of the day. Leaving 45 minutes late left very little free time. Upon arrival we were told don’t be late for departure because we had to get guests back to their cruise ship.. The tour guide was very short so we often lost her amongst the people. Other tours we have been on the guide had a flag or umbrella to track them. She would be describing something but we couldn’t tell where she was. We have no idea what she was describing unless we were by her side which wasn’t fair to the rest in the group. It sounds petty, but with large crowds we had no idea where she was. When we got back to Malaga we passed our drop off point by a block to return a very small group of people to their cruise ship. That was a very unnecessary 20+ minutes on a bus. We were told we would return for 5PM, we did not arrive until after 5:30. In summary, the location was fabulous, the coordination by Discovering Spain was terrible. My rating is a reflection of the tour operator and not the venue.

Not as advertised totally for the masses and overpriced
This was not as advertised. The bus left Malaga on time and there was some beautiful scenery on the way but no commentary on the way. Upon arriving in Granada there was a one hour stop somewhere in the center of town. After the one hour break we were taken to the Alhambra and given a tour for only 2 hours and the tour did not end where it started. So it was confusing getting back to the starting point. The tour started at 12 noon and ended at 2PM and the bus back to Malaga departed at 3:45 PM. Apparently the entrance fee was approximately 11 Euros but the tour cost over 100 Euros. So not worth the money as it was an expensive bus ride under two hours each way. I honestly cannot recommend this tour and should of known better when booking as it had a no cancellation policy versus most other tours on TripAdvisor similar to this tour

      Disappointing tour
This trip was a bit of a disappointment. Our tour guide met us at the pick up point and didn't even introduce himself. During the 1,1/2 hour drive to Grenada, there was no commentary at all about what we were seeing along the way. Other tour operators we used in Malaga pointed out interesting points along the way. We were expecting to wander around in Grenada and see the city, but we were dropped off on a dead end street outside of the tourist area and told to get off the bus, have a cup of coffee and be back in 40 minutes. Alhambra was interesting, but a bit boring and too busy. The tour bus was late in picking us up and although a text message was sent letting people know of the delay, not everyone had access to text messages. The tour guide should have asked the group if they had been notified and at least informed those who didn't get the message. When asked about the delay by an elderly gentleman, the guide made no attempt to explain that there was a delay and rudely replied to him "that's life" then walked away.

      Terrific guide makes a difference!
The guide makes a big difference...she was terrific and accommodated my slowness and watched for me to catch up. Even though it's not for the faint of heart or handicapped, she made it doable for me and much appreciated that. Nathale was charming with good info for our smaller group.

      Very dissapointed
Booked a day trip from Benalmadena to Tangere with local Excursion shop which promised shopping ect but in reality Tangere was a nice place and always wanted to go to Morocco but the Guide told us the Market did not take Euros so could not buy anything instead was just marched through the Market and took to a Warehouse to see rugs that no one wanted then Argan oil that was excessively over inflated in price. I found out the Market did take Euros from a group local selling watches outside the Market. You will be harrassed by Street Punters trying to sell you rubbish. We went to a Restaraunt which was nice but food very basic and poor the bread was nice. I would not return to Morocco based on my experience as nice City but the Peddlers spoil it

Private family tour of the Rock
Mini Van private tour with guide Ryan Kennedy. We had a great time seeing the apes and taking photos. Visited St. Michaels Cave , the Skywalk and on the walk down we went through various historical sites as well as a castle. Our guide was personable and very informative about every aspect of the tour .I highly recommend these smaller group tours.

      Good tour
3 in van from Malaga. Driver knowledgeable and made a scenic stop for pics along the way. Driver/guide provided a town tour before meeting Mosque tour of about 25 people. Mosque guide very good. Time for lunch. Discovering Spain and Paco made a good trip.

      The Rock Tour
Pick-up in Malaga. Total 6 on van. Driver knowledgeable and pointed out sites on way to Gibraltar. Joined a group of 8 others for bus tour of Rock. Unfortunate not to see tunnels. St. Michael’s Cave and brief walking tour of town included. Worth the trip.

Many nice things to see but rip off
The trip itself is totally worth it. The caves are impressive and the two small cities are nice. However we payed 150 for that per person, some even more. That is a rip off! For that money you can get a private taxi for the whole day. The guide didn’t speak a word English (we previously assumed that the tour would be that expensive because of English language proficiency…) and he didn’t know anything about the tour (way to the entrance, timetable or about the cities,…)

      Small-group tour with English-speaking guide?
The tour of Alhambra was as advertised. My wife and I were part of a group that we joined in Grenada. The tour guide, JJ, had an impressive understanding of the site and was crucial to giving us insight into this unique site. Our one regret is that we did not signup for the optional Nazaries portion of the tour. We were transported to Grenada from Malaga, Spain where we arrived by cruise ship. The ride took roughly two hours each way. We were surprised to learn that we were to be transported to Grenada in a taxicab, a Prius, along with another couple from the same cruise ship we were on. The driver did not speak English and none of the four of us in the cab spoke Spanish. Everything worked out well. We all got along well together and it made for a memorable trip. Communication was sometimes challenging but we made do. ...It just was not what we expected when we signed up for a 'small group tour with an English-speaking guide.'

Frigiliana and Nerja with the Nerja Caves quite compelling. Get ready for some steps.
Alejandro y Alejandro, father and son, got us where we needed to get to and were waiting for us at the designated spots as arranged when we completed each stop along the way.

      Just a ride to Gibraltar
If you just want a ride to Gibraltar and the rock tour tickets pre-paid, then this is the 'tour' for you. Ride from Malaga to Gibraltar was just that and no more. No commentary, no history information; just a quiet ride. Got to Gibraltar and were handed off to the local tour company ( could have bought tickets directly). We were given about an hour of free time to shop, etc. We were given a strict time of 3:15pm to meet for the ride back to Malaga. We arrived in Malaga at about 4:30pm. Confused by this as the original plan was for a 6:00pm return. Seems to me we could have had more time in Gibraltar. A more active, engaged driver would have made the trip better. Also some time with the guide touring Gibraltar would also have been nice.

      "Non-private" minimal tour of Cordoba
The advertising for the tour was misleading and vague. Company provided private transportation to Cordoba in a taxi, with a driver and another person, who served as translator, but not as a tour guide.  They were able to provide few specifics of the itinerary beyond that a tour guide would meet us at the Mezquita. But they did not know what would be included in our tour, or how long it would be, as they were on the trip for "transportation". They dropped us off at the Mezquita and there we met the guide they had arranged. Our guide was good, and spoke good English, but the tour included about another dozen people. That was the only tour the company provided, not even a brief city tour.  This guide was also offering an extended tour of the Jewish quarters for another 18 euros, as the company had only provided the cheapest option. We could have paid the extra money for the additional tour, but that would have let us with only 1/2 hour for lunch and to walk around on our own. This guide was quite good, and spoke good English.   Our trip cost well over 200 euros per person. It seems oddly designed. We got the private transportation (though would have been fine with a group), but no private tour. Why have 1 driver, and 1 other person who basically was there just to tell you in English where to meet the driver, and when? Better to just provide an English speaking driver, to keep costs down. Or, better yet, extend the tour by 1-2 hours and provide a city tour with the 2nd person. We got much better value from a tour we took from San Sebastian to Bilbao, with an English speaking driver who functioned as tour guide too, and lunch provided, at much less than half the price of this tour. We feel anger and disappointment at what was provided on this tour. On a positive note, the Mezquita is incredible.

      All day bus ride.
Our mid-morning reservation was canceled by the tour operator and we asked to join an earlier group. That changed our meeting time from 09:00 to 06:30. It took 3.5 hours (7 stops to pickup guests) to arrive at customs where we got off the bus to stand in line for 30 min. Then back on bus to cross border. Then we were rushed on/off bus to sites. Then another 3.5 hours / 7 stops to return to Malaga. All in all it took around 13 hours to spend 30 minutes total at the intended locations. If we knew we would be spending all day on a bus, we would not have taken the trip. Not worth giving up a full day and definitely not worth the cost.
